Sona, like myself, grew up during the sweet spot for school safety drills. She was too young for duck and cover nuclear war drills and too old for active shooter drills.
True. When I came to America and started school in the 1980s we only did Tornado drills. I just wish I wasn't better educated at 8 years old than some of my teachers. Sadly I meant that literally.
@@WarThnderMudnen76 Tornado drills were great, too. Because class stopped, and the entire class all got up and went to some random windowless room in the school. One year it was the wresting practice room with padded walls and floors.
I'm in that same age group, but did you guys not have bomb threats? They'd happen in our county about every couple months. I was also a senior in HS on 9/11. The sweet spot definitely ended then.
@@belminspahic1449 you take things too, literally man. It’s not a sad statement. He’s just expressing through hyperbole how much he likes it. It’s like being out at dinner and saying “this is the best lobster I’ve ever had in my life”. That’s probably not true but you’re trying to express how much you love that lobster you just ate
Revisiting that one - and I must say: That line is getting me over and over again: "What is this?? So much blood?! BLOOD!! *BLO-HO-HO-HOD* !!! I must go back to my ancestral *TRANSYLVANIA* !!!"
I love the fact that the moment the voice message starts playing, Conan and matt start taking notes like first benchers and sona chanelling the people in class who always have a puzzled look no matter what's going on
The audio was great, but seeing Sona lie down to escape that Joe Rogan moment really takes the cake. But seriously, kids these days have active shooter drills, which I find sad.
As a Maine resident, I am proud that my tax dollars are supporting our Senators and their mission to get Conan O'Brien & the Chill Chums to visit our beautiful state. Can't wait to see you all in 3.75 years!
there are no words to describe how much i enjoy every podcast episode and always looking forward to the next one. you are such a dream team, all of you! thank you! ❤️
7:33 Sona is insanely beautiful here. I'm not normally one to complement a woman for her looks, especially in youtube comments, but here she really glows. 👍
Hilarious bringing it back to nut allergy at the end. Carter had a peanut farm before being president so it would have been pretty funny if he had a nut allergy.
Peanuts aren't actually nuts. That's why I can still eat them with my tree nut allergy. Born in the 70's, my allergy didn't develop until my 20's. I loved all nuts until they started burning my mouth and bloating my stomach. I have a friend who has to go to the emergency room if a peanut touches his tongue, though. Allergies are very strange. You may not notice you are allergic to something you love until you get older, and it can get quite severe.
No, what happens is Nixon is ranting and says he might even drop "the big one", a shocked silence falls over the table, Nixon notices blood oozing out of his steak and says "Goddammit, who cooked this steak? I don't want blood all over my plate!"
Today, I am particularly in favor of a reunification episode with the former president of Finland, Tarja Halonen, for some reason. I don't know why that is - but PLEASE - make it happen😂😂😂
It should be noted that Oliver Stone did time during the Vietnam War and has always been honest in his telling of his own time in service to country. There are certainly presidential papers in the archive that portray Nixon at his best and at his worst. I wouldn't think that Stone took that many liberties in his movie about a president once believed to be the worst president in history.
I went to Teddy Roosevelt's house in oyster bay ny as a kid and it was awesome standing in his study where he would write letters or speeches.God damn millennials have no respect!!!!🤣
Twas a yacht, sir. Or, rather, tis a yacht, dear sir. Ships go on the sea. Boats and yachts are for lakes. Many boats are larger than ships. But don't get me started.
It's true, I was that age where we didn't have drills for nuclear war or crazed gunmen, just fires and earthquakes. This gave people my age a false sense of hope that the wider world wouldn't suck, but alas, we got proven wrong
