She married into the royal family in Britian in the 80's, divorced in the 1990's. She used to be rather heavy, so he's making a fat joke. She lost the weight and became a Weight Watchers spokesperson. Anyway, she was the original "Fergie" before the singer got famous.

@macarthur19 No problem. She was married to Prince Andrew, who is the little brother of Prince Charles, if that helps too. But, she is no longer a member of the Royal family, so I guess it doesn't matter, although obviously her kids are still part of the Royal family and in the distant line of succession. Funny that she's the lesser known "Fergie" now! She used to be so famous and was very close to Princess Diana.

what I like about conan is how unformulaic hes compared to those other typically late show idiots like Leno and letterman. I couldnt see where he was going with this skit at all and thats a plus in my book
