This we all know: he had to be incredibly sore the next day, and probably the day after that. And yet he went at it all fantastically, all for the experience and the comedy.
The first day of snowboarding or skiing is a terrifying ordeal of falling on your ass for hours and thinking you are going to die anytime you go over 5mph. But once you get the hang of it and can tackle slopes without falling it's addictive and so much fun. Beginning is the most dangerous and scary part because you really don't know what you're doing. You definitely need a good lesson from a friend or instructor, especially on how to break and fall safely.
I could never get the hang of turning on a snowboard, nor could I figure out which foot to put first. I fell so much more when trying to snowboard than I ever had skiing. Also, greetings from Utah!
@TKfan27 I completely lost it when he said, "There's no fucking way". And then I started cheering when he finally started to get the hang of it! I don't know why, but I love it when he curses.
havent watched all of it but you never try getting up from your back when you're learning.. its WAY easier flipping over to your stomach. also getting some kneepads and elbowpads (that you can even wear under your snowpants) help IMMENSELY. basically just expect to fall down a LOT. i learned on a day that it was snowing heavily and there was a lot of fresh dense powder.. so i fell a lot but it didn't matter. falling on packed snow or worse ice will really wear down your will to learn
