CONCERT REVIEW: SKID ROW - FT LAUDERDALE 3-22-23 

I was the fan that ran into to you, thank you for everything Ralph, been a long time fan and can’t believe I got to see Skid Row and got to meet you at the same time, thank you you’re awesome What a band and a great show!!

I think Skid Row hit the jackpot with Eric Gromwall. One of the albums I played the most last year was The Gang's All Here. This guy is amazing! What a singer!

I saw skid row at the end of last year with Erik and they kicked ass I got my tickets to see them in September too! Keep up the concert reviews.

Great review Ralph. People don't consider that Erik Gronwall is 10 years older (early 30s) than Sebastian was during his prime of the Slave era (early 20s), and the fact is Erik sings these songs way better than Baz did live. Sebastian was always a better studio singer than a live singer. EG is the real deal and a good dude. And you're right, the new album smokes and they need to add several more tunes from that record to the set

I saw them last summer and yeah, it’s a great rock show and Eric brings it.

Saw them in Huntsville this past Sunday and they sounded awesome. Eric can hit all those notes and makes it look easy at times. I enjoyed the opening band NoResolve I think was their name ? I hadn’t seen Buck Cherry before and they were better than I expected and put on a good show and sounded really good. Skid Row was on a completely different level though the new singer has breathed life into the band they were loud, heavy, aggressive, and tight. I’ve always loved Snake and Scotti guitar duo and their habitual abuse of pinch harmonics ( when in doubt pinch it out ) . Snake and Scotti make artificial harmonics their bitch like only Dime, Zakk, and Billy Gibbons can. Some people don’t like that style. Those people suck !! . Seriously if you’re questioning whether or not you want to go see Skid Row on this tour, trust us , GO! You won’t be disappointed. I was in the camp that unless they reunited with Bach I would’ve probably never seen them. Then I saw some footage of Eric and said ok this guy has got the pipes and can do the job. I’d say without a doubt presently Eric can sing the songs better than Bach could. I love Bach I don’t care that he’s an annoying asshole . We need more annoying assholes in rock today maybe ? Time is sure a cruel mistress with a sick sense of humor. Bach was ousted because Skid was too big to open for Kiss ( on the real first awesome Kiss reunion tour ) , now 30 years later Skid Row will be blowing Kiss off the stage every night with the new singer lol ( on a Kiss tour that everyone has seen, nobody wants and nobody asked for) If you can catch Skid Row on this smaller tour, I think 2 tickets on the floor were 80 bucks that’s the way to go.

Looks like Skid Row has hit the Arnel Pineda jackpot. I have seen a lot of live footage of them with Eric and after being a huge doubty pants,I have drank the Kool Aid. He is quite the entertainer and a spot on singer. Now as long as Skid Row doesn't tour,tour,tour until his voice is toast, things look to be on the upswing.

I was threre on this show, I'm from Brazil., and I remember seing you there!... thanks for this review... I got VIP TICKET so I had opportunity to talk to all band integrants, all very good people!... It was amaaaazing Show!!! ... Erik is amazing lead singer and all the musicians are insane, great band!!! ... I will be here in Brazil SKID ROW Show at Summer Breeze Festival on April 29th.... Of Course that will be a Great Show too! => SKID ROW.

Nice review! Also nice to see somebody that is able to appreciate the new lineup. I'm so tired of seeing "It's not Skid Row without Bach" comments from people stuck 25 years in the past that aren't even interested in giving the new lineup and music a chance. I loved the Bach era but also really digging what they're doing with Erik and the new album is phenomenal IMO. I've been a big fan of Erik since he joined H.E.A.T and he did 4 outstanding albums with them. However, their loss was Skid Row's gain and they hit the jackpot bringing him in. I got to hang with the band in a hotel bar last summer after a show and my experience with them was the same as yours....Just all super nice, down to earth and appreciative guys. Looking forward to seeing them live again in mid-April.

Sebastian Bach had a problem he wanted to open for kiss, and the rest of the band turned him down part of their drama but now they’re opening for kiss

Going to see them in Tampa next week!!!!

the bach ambums were obviously great and it did take them awhile but skid row finally found their voice and they are kicking ass this guy is the best singer they ever had anyone who says no bach no skid row pfft you have no idea what your missing the core and founders of the band Hill // SNAKE // Bolan are still there cant wait for the follow up album Skids to the Top Sebastain who ??
