Here is my take on it, and I maybe totally wrong. But I feel like all the finishers are just subcontractors and he just brings them in when needed. So the previous guys probably found a better paying gig or more consistent work.

Here in Ireland we have to put Gravel down and compact it because we have a lot of muck and as soon as it gets wet turns to soup wish we had ground like this to pour on.

Hey how much water reducer you use for a 3k mix like that? For a 5in slump looks like water splashing around when striking off.. cool af! Up north in Pennsylvania here seems more reducers we add the stickier the mud gets?

Can't do concrete prep like that here where we get frost. It would heave, crack, split, and be ruined with sand/dirt base without packing. Guys got it easier out west in the warm areas.

I been doing concrete for . 42 years.. … 3 guys doing concrete work.. yeah right … … . 3 guys doing 9 yards… me with 9 guys.. doing 50 yards.. be done by 11:30 .. and go and get another one ready for the next day ..
