dartsreviewcha... This is a review of the Condor Axe flights. This is the new improved version of the Condor Axe all in one flight and shaft system. The previous version had some issues with breaking at the thread but it looks like this new version has fixed that and as the original Condor Zero Stress flights are one of my favourties due to their long lasting durability I am hopeful these new Condor Axe are even better :)

Yeah I will do an update soon, been using the same set but have not played as much as usual due to a few aches and pains but still they have had a fair amount of use and in very good nick, so I think for me personally they are well worth it, I like them a lot :)

Mine was last 2 - 3 months , getting back on nylon stems with titanium rings and mixing kite and pear flights .

is the medium condor flights the same as inbetween shaft + flights?

I think its best to compare your tweenie stems with the flights attached to the sizes shown but I think the medium is closest to the inbetween size

Condor medium is same as inbetween nylon stem , short is short and large is medium nylon stem size .

I guess £10.50 isn't too bad if they last. Cosmos or L style cost more for flights and stems. Could do with a grouping improvement tool to give them a reet good testing. 😷👍

I have been wondering how long they may last. I currently use cosmos, and yes you have to pay for steams at an extra cost. But I have found the steams seem to last along time, haven’t broken one yet. I have went through two sets of flights in about 2 months and during that time thrown around 30,000 times maybe more (being modest). I believe in the long run if I only have to replace flights on cosmos vs the whole package with condor I am a head of the game. Just my thoughts on price.

If one stacks darts regularly when throwing how many hours do you think is fair for a molded flight to last? I wonder what my expectations should be if for example I practice thirty hours a week.

Too many variables to account for really. My set is still in nearly new condition but I put Apex points in the barrels to eliminate the lip and its not an aggressive dart I am using so that helps too. I would say I have had at least 5 hours a week with them since I did the review. But its also how the darts sit in the board and how the incoming darts make contact, some people hit the flights a lot and others will come in at a different angle and hit the stem or the barrel first. It is why I always tell people they will eventually need to try these things for themselves and find out what suits them best. At a guess I would hope they would last at least 30 hours but I know from experience that some have ripped in the first few throws and others have lasted months.

@@DartsReviewChannel Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. I tend to have a flatter throw and I get bounces from deflecting off of the stems and flights roughly one out of every twenty throws. So it seems that I'm plowing throw the grouping rather than landing beside them. I'm getting good enough to have tighter groups but not good enough to be selective regarding how they arrive at the board.

@@Camrographer My darts usually land tail up, I get a fair amount of robin hoods because of that as my darts will come in with the point angling towards the flights.

Looks like they seen how the Cuesol Rost's were doing so well and did the same. I like the zero's but they flex too much and incoming darts tend to hit the flight, the flight bends lots and then it hurls the dart flying. I have seen darts go across the room from it. When I went to the Rost's... problem solved. They bend just enough but not too much. They don't break (I'm on a year with same set), flight wings don't tear off like the zero's do and so on. I think this is a good move by Condor. These should become their new most popular flight system.

Zero stress lasted me longer than the Rosts did but like I always say it's about finding what works best for the individual, also why it's good to have plenty of choice. I quite like the Rosts too though 😀

I'm not sure what their logic is with adding a gap, surely that means there's even less material in the stress area? Maybe the thread put the stress in the same place on the shaft every time and that caused the failures, I dunno. There you go I answered my own question. Great video as always, and unlucky with that 180!

not really sure myself but my guess is the gap allows the stem to flex more thus stopping the strain on where the thread was previously on the old version. Cheers! :)

I think this is one of my favourite videos of yours I have seen. I have just purchased some so was interested to see your review. It’s nice to see reviews that aren’t just darts and barrels. Topped off by just lobbing it at the floor to test out durability. Fairly new to your channel but like what I see!

I am a steel man but I have been using the Condor zero on my soft tip when there is nothing else or no option to play I love them I'm going to order a set of these if they're better than the zero they have made a home run thanks Darren appreciate your video catch you on the next one👍

@@DartsReviewChannel wow that's a quick response . Just started playing darts few months ago and the pub that I am playing at has hard surface floor and my shafts are breaking at the thread whats your solution for that ?

@@vekisplit5818 Ah, its a problem with darts hitting hard floors, I did the same yesterday with the new Kleermaker darts, got a bounce out and hit the laminate flooring and broke the stem. Dont think there is any real way to stop it but if you get it a lot then you could try metal stems like Aluminiun or titanium but they can still get broken tines (where the flights insert). The Condor Zero Stress stems are flexible but not everyone likes them but worth a try if you have not tried them. The Condor Axe I reviewed in this video I am still using, they have lasted me well but you could get a set and they could break on first floor hit, so there is no 100% guarantee you will have the same long lasting wear I have had. I think its more about minimizing the chances of bounce outs and hard impacts as much as anything else. As its a pub then there is not a lot you can do there, but if it was at home I would say to put some softer matting near the board and to use a good board that is less prone to drop/bounce outs.

Dyu reckon you could do a review on the winmau stealth flights I’m very undecided as to whether I should get a set because I keep ruining my flights and stems with Robin hoods etc need something more durable cheers

Certain the Trinidad/Condor team released a video of them trying to break it. took like 100 bounce outs or something for them to break

Well done Daryl , I think these may be a game changer . Apart from the cost up front though , which is not cheap to be honest , we have to realise that a new thicker case would be needed and on top of that we should also use Tridents or replace our points with a cone shape up against the dart front . The Tridents are a no brainer anyway , but I find I damage them within two weeks use . So a conical ended point set makes sense , but then , as a front gripper , I lose my datum point for holding the dart ! Hmmm , what to do ? Stay as I play , with Tridents , as I know the cost and it works .... or fit conical points and these fantastic fit and forget Axe flights .... no bloody rings to get in the way and cause endless problems ( I do not use rings ! I would rather tap my darts every throw by the way ) . I think I might just have to blow some dosh on these Axe joobies . Mind you , you would have to buy two sets to have a spare ! That is ten quid times two for the Axes , plus the points , plus the darts case .... probably thirty five quid cheapest real cost . Mate , that is an investment ! Am I wrong ?

Its Darren not Daryl lol! Yes with moulded flights you need a specific case but a lot of cases are made to take them now, you can get many of the rubber type ones that are around £10 to £15. I am still using the Axe I reviewed in this video, they have lasted very well! Getting rid of the lip on the barrel does help with the longevity of the flights though. :)

minute 9 to 10 was very cute made! maybe then i started to wait for any slowmotion, but didnt come like made on your video for the condor zero stress. but 1 opinion please... which is more durable - the zeros or the axe??? i would mean the zeros, right?

Thanks! Yeah I meant to do a slow mo but had some trouble with my memory card and had to order a new one. Well I think overall the Zero should be more durable but the Axe have lasted very well, I am still using the same set in the review and they look fine! Will do an update video soon :)

@@DartsReviewChannel I wanted to tell you that I tried the stress free on my dynasty soft tips they sure have a nice flight. I ordered 3 condor axe different ones for steel tips the first set will be here today. My soft tip average has climbed happy about that bud.
