Man you have taught me so much on cone area and box building. I built a proper box for a alpine type s 10 and it just slaps so hard and hits low tuned at 33hz, and ive heard someone with 2 10’s and they were choking with no low end extension, was flat and when they heard the box for the single 10 they were blown away at the extention and the lows it was hitting (for them 55hz was deep until they heard 33-36) Keep doing ya thing and teaching people real shit. FACT NOT FICTION ! 💯

Cone area is king. You would think people would get it when the manufacturer makes 8, 10, and 12s. I imagine some of those people just are trying like hell to prove you wrong. It's true that cone area isn't always king, but it's 100% true cone area is king if all factors are equal. Keep teaching brother, because knowledge is key. Fact not Fiction!!💯👍

And for the tonal quality gonna come in at the cabin area..car trunk vs suv or truck the suv and truck will sound more realistic.better to ya.

Exactly that is why I have 4 10s in my dakota. It is easier and less expensive to run my 4 lower level Crossfires than have a much bigger enclosure and run 2 higher end 12s and still get the performance level I am after.

Whenever someone asks me for a recommendation on a subwoofer. I always give them the same answer. "The largest subwoofer that will work in your available space. Personally, I would rather have one subwoofer in a ported enclosure than two in a sealed enclosure in a similar sized box."

I stopped going on forums after having people publicly start arguments with me a few too many times based upon opinions they have based on nothing, couldn’t even get him to realize that the air inside a box isn’t under pressure at the resting position. That’s basic kindergarten level common sense. And that’s someone who somehow makes enough to spend tens of thousands on audio equipment.

I knew a guy with 1 08 Memphis mojo 15 on a ma audio 4400 2 channel high current amp in a jemmy and you could hear it from 5 blocks away all deep loud bass. Most cars and trucks never hit like that and I have been around a lot of sounds and they didn't compare to that 1 15

What if there not equal say for instance my son running 4 8s that are 800watts rms each on an 8k in a single cab ford ranger blow through with the electrical system to back it and his friend has a pair of 18s that are rated 3k rms each in a ford escape on a 5k standard bass reflex enclosure why are the 8s way louder then the 18s?

So according to what you're saying a ported box wouldn't be louder than a sealed box...all factors being equal. Same sub, vehicle electrical. Just so you are aware the more sizes of sub a company sells the broader the customer base. Can't fit 15's under the back seat of a truck, but 8's will fit...
