In the fall of 2018 confessed Parkland killer Nikolas Cruz wrote a series of letters - a number of on a daily basis - to a woman living in the United Kingdom.

I'm sure he knows he won't be released. I think it's called... Hope? He probably knows it's extremely unlikely, but coming to terms with spending decades after decades in a cage, with no real opportunities in life, with almost no freedom... I think it's a process. He isn't the first who knows they won't be released, but who still talks/thinks about what they'll do when they get released.
I think he was getting bullied but before he caused the shooting he comment on a video that said I’m going to be a professional school shooter so the guy who made the vid told the fbi but the fbi never did nothing
He has an incredibly unhealthy obsession with weapons. Even people that devote their lives to guns don't squeeze something gun-related into every conversation, let alone nearly every sentence. That pathological obsession should've disturbed everyone around him.
Which human being has ever had a healthy obsession with weapons? This dude had a sick start in life. No wonder kids like him go nuts plus having access to weapons makes it deadly
@@creativeminds5405 you have no idea what your talking about. I grew up with guns in the house, shooting in my yard. I'm one of the most safe, responsible people I know with guns.
@@4touchdowns1game29 obsession with weapons is never healthy. Would you sacrifice your kids for your hobby? Whats the benefit of having weapons? There is no reason why you should have guns plus how can you be sure that everyone else is safe with guns too? Look at America and then look at other nations. How many kids die in school or universities in other countries? I cannot understand how you choose a dangerous hobby over lives.

This is EXACTLY why I'm in favor for the Death Penalty. All the victims will never laugh again, get married, have children, families of their own and here he is laughing I'm sure and attempting to do all those things. It's not at all fair. Life in prison, for me, is getting away with murder. Prisoners adjust to prison life and as you see, receive fan mail from lonely people and others that are fascinated by people like him. It's unfortunate his life has been difficult, however, what he did to the victims and the families left behind is far worse than his troubled life. My utmost condolences to all families and friends close to them, from the deepest core of my heart.
It may seem like that but he’s already lost his sanity, it’s worse to be kept alive your entire life to sulk in what you have done than to be merciful and give him the death penalty being stuck in your own head for all those years is worse than death
I’m for the death penalty in principle but in practice it’s a terrible idea because so many people end up getting wrongfully put on death row and even killed. And once you kill them there’s no turning back. It also just sets a terrible precedent. It’s against the law to kill….so we’re gonna kill you. Wait, I thought it was against the law? The message that murder is always wrong gets muddled when you have state sanctioned murder. We should be above that.
On the other hand... Innocent people have been executed, and the only way to avoid continuing to execute innocent people is to not have the death penalty. Life in prison isn't the same as getting away with murder. They have little freedom. Most things we can do, many we take for granted, will become an impossibility for them. Never just go for a walk if they feel like it, never go for a swim, never visit their parents, never celebrate Christmas with their family... The list goes on. No, they're not getting away with anything.
If he got death penalty his suffering would end when he dies, he wants to get out so bad and he is more than miserable locked up. Him wanting to leave and never being able to seeing nothing but inmates who hate him and bars is the punishment he deserves in my opinion. He is suffering every second in prison and he deserves to be kept alive as long as possible so his suffering does not end. When he dies he is no longer in pain
@@stewartwatson7136 Stupidity is the result of learning problems or/and mental illness. Mentally stable, functioning people with no learning disabilities are not stupid. The inability to gauge if an action is stupid is a part of brain dysfunction and being "slow".
I don't agree with the death penalty and that's not because it's "inhumane" or any bullshit like that. It's because it's a cop out. They don't get to suffer for what they've done. They are just gone and it is a form of freedom. They don't truly suffer any kind of consequence since they are not alive to go through them.
Your response to death penalty can't be to just get it, that'd be looked at as suicidal and make you just labeled not competent enough to make that decison- keep in mind this is different then him already being found competent at the time of his crime.
He'll probably have no problem finding a woman to marry him. Not an indictment on all women or anything, but there's always some chick that'll marry a killer just because they're killers. Seriously like they all pretty much end up getting married to someone from behind bars it's insane how many of them do
@@bobby6569 You're proving their point. Oh what a poor baby who lost his mother - NO. Having a rough childhood and losing your parent does not make it okay to MURDER AND SLAUGHTER 17 INNOCENT CHILDREN AND TEACHERS.

Seriously... medieval torture never sounded so justified. See when their body gives out like I'm sure a percentage of his victims suffered. Minutes of bleeding out.. plus years of pain to the families... yeah he can handle the consequences to his actions. No one should feel bad for him.

@@trevor2414 I think he meant being on the spectrum because I got that sense too. Knowing and living with people on the spectrum- it can often be the case that the signs are so normalized it is hard to diagnosed. It may come off as social anxiety or anger or odd social interactions. I have no excuses for this kid. He clearly gets off on hurting about anyone, but I do get the sense he might be a little autistic.
His classmates are killing them selves and hes still living inside his own fantasy i cant believe that he even thinks he could ever obtain a cross bow and the fact that is his priority after all hes done, how delusional that he thinks he deserves a 2nd chance .
U know what demons do to u, no you dont its his fault and not his fault at the same time he lost things he loved and went berserk basically imagine if that was you listening to voices in your head to tell you to do shit thats bad and u cant control it he already got his punishment let him do what he wants to do in jail
See? Everybody is clamoring over how they want him to have the death penalty, but sure enough, this is exactly what he wants. Many mass shooters end up killing themselves after the fact, but does that seem like justice? Never having to live to see the brutal consequences of your actions? Never living to see your freedom and dignity taken from you for the rest of your life? If the death penalty is what the families want then I could understand, but, again, you'll only be giving him what he wants. Sure, he has other plans for if he lives, but it's not like they're going to come to fruition.
He doesn't really want to die. If he did he would have shot himself after shooting all those kids at the school. He was/is scared to die. Alot of the shooters really don't care & want to die, but those are the ones who die in a shoot out with police or kill themselves.
He's too much of a coward to kill himself. I want to hear from the woman he's writing to what is her agenda? Is she just trying to see how phenomenally -absolutely crazy he is? He is literally a retarded demon-I know my God didn't make that. ☮️
Who wants to pay for him to live the rest of his life in a prison cell? We’re getting fucked hard enough as it is..what’s one more person to pay for in prison?
People have to remember that he is key at manipulation. I don’t trust a word that he says, “I part of me wants the death penalty.” might be him trying to manipulate us into thinking that’s what he wants, when in reality he actually doesn’t want it at all. He thinks he can sway people and will then be inclined to sentence him to jail which for him would be less painful, less scary. It may sound counterintuitive but its just another theory.
It angers me they allow these monsters to get letters from all around the world. I’ve heard stories about people sending money and gifts to these sickos!
It's disgusting and should be banned. As for the woman writing him the letters, She should be investigated. She definitely has some loose screws in her head. The pain of losing a loved one is so difficult, but too lose them at the hands of a killer, I couldn't imagine their pain and suffering. May God give them the strength they need to live on.
Probably would have been the one thing to turn him round if he had waited long enough to get they far. Having children can completely change someone round. Even getting a dog could have helped.
He does not care for his live, he tried to comit suicide long before the shooting. His life has always been hell. he has autism and other mental disabilities, most people still dont get this. His drawings and writings look like from a 10 year old, he has not grown up, his mental state is that of a boy, not a man. His biological mother was a drug and alcohol addict, so he was already under the influence of drugs when in her belly. Of cause that damaged his development and brain and this is not his fault. He never received a safe loving upbringing or proper treatment for his mental state and illness.
Tell your family members that you love them often Get outside Be quick to forgive Help those who obviously need it America has serious, SERIOUS problems. This happens more in the U.S. than anywhere else arguably. That is telling.
He shouldn't even be allowed such luxuries as pen and paper. Why is he getting the chance to speak to people from the outside world when he coldheartedly shot 17 innocent people and inflicted trauma on dozens more? None of them deserved this. He shouldn't be breathing while they're forever gone.
People feel sympathy and pity for this kid and think that it's okay for him to be released from jail and given another chance. No. Of course he wasn't in the right state of mind and going through a lot of shit, but it still gave him no right to kill 17 innocent lives and hurt 17 others in a time of 10 minutes. Maybe even hurt more because of the families of the kids. There is some people who are severely depressed and also go through troubles but don't go as far as committing mass murder. I hope this kid learns and grows into a better person. And FULLY realizes what he did wrong and feel full sympathy to the innocent lives he took. But he needs to be in there for a pretty long time.

I'm 29 and I do get his frustration at being (as court documents state) rejected shortly before the shooting. I'm a gay dude and I have platonic loves with straight guys and I've been rejected too. What is ABSOLUTELY NOT justified is to grab a gun and kill people. I agree with one of the comments about emotional intelligence. I am autistic, and I was taught at special education how to deal with sexuality and love feelings and the *possibility* of getting dumped/rejected. It exists and it must be respected and accepted with manlihood in my case, with tons of balls of bravery by girls too. Fry him.

He has no right to have a life, he denied to so many innocent people. Those kids would have loved to have a family some day, but will never get the opportunity, and I am sure their parents would have enjoyed becoming grandparents. Those teachers had families, who were denied their spouse and parent.
Yup quite true, his body language even is very telling. But surprise surprise, Bundy ended up dead for what he did. It's a matter of waiting for the outcome of this trial. I will be watching it closely, I hope justice is served.
I feel sympathy for Nikolas, he thought he had no one who actually loved him. It's a shame that it only took a simple "I love you" from his brother or mother that could've prevented this.
