Confession (Part 2): What You Didn't Know - Explaining the Faith 

I am in the process of converting from non-practicing protestant to Catholic at age 49! I had my first confession last week. I've been in a terrible conflict with my 3 kids a d have been literally suicidal, only haven't done it bc I don't want to go to hell. I have had relief from those feelings since my confession! I told my Priest I've given my kids to Our Lady because that's all I can do for now. Thank You God, Thank You Jesus and his Blessed Mother Mary!

I have always been terrified of confession. Part of my fear has been a lack of knowledge. After completing RCIA over 30 years ago, I thought I understood the faith. Listening to channels like this over the past three months, I’ve realized how little I knew and how that lack of knowledge made me vulnerable to fear, temptation and sin. How I wish I could have known these things sooner! I simply had no idea what was available, where to get it or what I was missing. It took a lifetime of avoidable mistakes to recognize the great gift information like this is. Please keep it coming. Your words are literally life-giving water to thirsty souls.

Father Chris Alar, this video of Father Sera fin brought tears , today is Christmas and I am so alone even if my husband and daughter is here with me, Father Alar I watch and listen to you in tube and now I learn more about my catholic faith even thou I went to a catholic high school and university, thank you so much Father Alar, you change my life with the help of God , God sent you to be His instrument to bring lost soul to God. I have watched this video several times and learn new things each time. I try to go weekly or bi-weekly. I was away from the sacrament for 10 years and I told myself I will never do that again. When I question myself and say I don’t need it or feel the priest is going to be upset with me for going too frequently I realize that is not coming from the Holy Spirit. Recently I was flying to Europe and wanted to go to confession before I left so I made the decision to make an appointment with the priest for confession. I was amazed how delighted the priest was that I made that step. It definitely changed my view on how a priest views confession. It is such a beautiful sacrament that is underused. Thank you Fr. Chris for doing these videos. It truly has been a blessing for me.

I am so blessed to watch this after watching part 1. Im praying for videos like this to re learn about confession, so I can make good confession. Amen. Thank You Lord Jesus.

I’m learning so much that I never knew about my own faith. this coming Sunday is divine mercy Sunday and he has helped me with how I can make a good confession and then receive holy communion so that my sins and reparation for my sins will all be gone. This lecture is worth hearing over and over! I once was a supporter of your order going back at least for the previous two Father Josephs. I always loved receiving the beautiful cards which I would then send to friends and family for their Mass intentions. I loved receiving beautiful thank you notes from the Fathers afterwards knowing that I was in their prayers and that I was also offered up in their Mass intentions with other MIC supporters. This is the 2nd time I listen to this and each time I have made a better confession. Thank you Father for always explaining the Catechism of our Holy Mother Church.
