I've never seen an air freshener that didn't smell incredibly artificial, to the point where I can get a headache. And when it comes to soap, a good basic unscented, additive free bar soap is the best. It looks yellowish white, maybe slightly translucent (like it lets a tiny bit of light through, sort of like porcelain), has a very distinctive, but mild smell, and it just works, makes you feel clean, and it's good for your skin. I even use it for shaving (you lather it up with a shaving brush), works better than any shaving cream and it's much cheaper too.
