Conquer the Heights: Challenging Hike in Thailand 

Khao Iko (Ego Mountain) is the highest mountain in Phetchaburi Province, Thailand. Recently a basic trail to the top with ropes and ladders for assistance has been created. It is the vision of a Monk who lives at the beautiful and mysterious Wat Puang Malai Temple which nestles in the imposing shadow of the mountain.
In this video I hike to the top via this newly laid out trail and show you exactly what is involved. Khao Iko is just off of the main road from Bangkok to Hua Hin and can be done in about 4 or 5 hours return. The trail begins and ends at the Wat Puang Malai and your car can be parked within the Tempme grounds for free.
