I loved this car as a kid. Was just car talking with a guy at work and told him about these cars and he had never heard of them. I am now in search for one for myself.
I own an 87 conquest, they are a pain at times. Every single part you removed will sell incredibly fast if you list them in forums etc. Or I'd be happy to take them!!!
Fuel injection worked fine, only issue with the motor was it wouldn't hold oil pressure. So LS1 swap with AR5 transmission it is! Stick around and subscribe, we've got a ton of content coming this year 👍
i had the same car but in yellow. i rebuilt the engine, raised the compression, redid the the turbo, added injectors, upped the exhaust..................and it was still a slug. after every HKS part in the book, and ALOT of money, an LS would have done it!
Really? How much power where you trying to make? Had a starquest meet at a dyno and we all made around 102HP (stock engine) to the wheel with no mods. There was a guy with a heavily modified stock engine making 496HP though
I'm so excited for this build! The Conquest is a great looking car from an era when not much looked all that good. I can't wait to see what you guys do with this. I know the Conquest was a combined project with Mitsubishi (a straight rebadging?) and one of those projects that lead to the DSMs.
You have been 100% cool answering may questions. I believe I have two of the larger-sized injectors over-fueling my car. I had have issues finding working injectors any where. One person was willing to sell a primary and secondary for $100, but he would not confirm that the plastic was not broken preventing a rebuild. I hate to ask, would you be willing to sell your injectors? Thanks, Brian
Alright Y'all stay busy! El Less swap the world. Is it possible to weigh all the bits Y'all removed to give us an idea just how much all that unnecessary stuff weighs ?
What are your plans for the factory wheels? I have an 88, I need wheels, I have the 8 way adjustable suspension, but it was not original equipment. I could use a set of wheels if they are for sale.
@@InspirationNation I have an 89 thats getting a 6g75. Rear diff in these cars are very strong. The 6 bolt axles are very strong also. 88 89 have s bolt axles and are twice as thick compared the other years. I would even go on to say as strong as the supra 4. The trans is very strong as well, round 500lb ft
