On my 2024 Outback, you have to remove the power outlet lid before installing the console vault. Otherwise it won’t be accessible if you plan to keep using it.

Thanks for this. Just curious if it allows a cable to exit the box. Otherwise the power plug is not "blocked" but sort of useless.

What do the fasteners go into? They just screw into the plastic walls of the console?

I honestly don’t really know. It seems over-constructed if that’s the case, but seems likely. I don’t want to unscrew it and find out just in case it doesn’t go back together as tight.

super cool! What is the size of the interior of the box?

The factory says the interior is 7" L x 5.625” W x 4.25" H, with the lid opening at 4" L x 5.25" W. I almost mocked it up with wood to see if my item would fit, but that was too much work and they said I could return it if it didn’t. Plus it’s a little irregular due to the 12V plug in there. Fortunately the item did fit.
