Keep in mind that the Philips CD-I Was mostly a multimedia CD player, being a game console was just one of it's functions.

In 12:13 that wasn't for the console, it was made for these devkits that SEGA made that been sent out to game developers. So basically Japan & Asia got the same intro as with the US.

For a long time, my console no longer comes out sound. The sound chip is damaged since 2001. And since 2015 it is completely broken (black picture)! There are hardly any spare parts and they are still damn expensive. because you could buy a 4-5 PS4 Games .. Just like my 3rd Sega Dreamcast with these teething troubles.

The FM Towns Marty Has was already a power processor from a PC in the year 1991. CPU: AMD 386SX at 16 MHz Memory: 2 MB Display: 352 x 232 - 640 x 480 of resolutions, 256 colors on screen out of a palette of 32 768 Sound: 6 channel FM (Yamaha YM2612) 8 channel PCM (Ricoh RF5c68) But was not so bad for a console, only the games were something strange at that time for West. The predecessor model "FM Towns" for PC which one better even on operating system could go to Win95!

I have the answer to your Mega-CD question: In JP and EU the Mega Drive, as it was called was the exact same thing as the NTSC-U Genesis. And the CD system attaches to the Mega Drive in Europe and Japan, so they call it the Mega-CD. But there was no Mega Drive in North America, so they settled it on Sega CD.
