The off-centre holes didn't happen because you did it with a hand drill, it was because you went from small pilot holes all the way to the biggest bit.

Nice build! There is a guy who I believe is in Sweden that takes the original game gear boards and and populates new boards with the chip sets from the original. So don't just throw away the old non-working board, that original chip set could have a new life!

When tightening anything you should do it evenly. Never fully tighten the left side and then the right side. Each one a little at a time. This will prevent any breaks in the board.

No physical modifications.. proceeds to remove a bunch of plastic for extra buttons.. BTW Nice video but it could have been made about 1/2 as long during the tear down. Don't need long loving looks at the screwdriver, shorter shots of individual parts removed etc. Just my $0.02
