I think the Switch version's art style itself might have contributed to the latter's massive lack of animations compared to the original CAPCOM® Play System™ II arcade release. But USF was also quite lackluster in the Settings department: like, how epic would it've been if you could mix the new character art, with the oldschool stage graphics in widescreen, with the modern music, recomposed using the classic sixteen bit instruments, with the original fighter vocals, perfectly redubbed in HD quality by their current voice actors? And what's even worse, where on Earth're the original ending sequences and credits screen visuals in Classic Mode, eh?

I guess it's because the SNES version of Super Street Fighter II doesn't have and it's a remake of it.

You must be right, 2019 2019; and although I do own an actual SupeNin, I've never owned SSF II for it, and - although I've seen it played, I mustn't have noticed, since I was too busy guffawing at its infamously inferior Genesis counterpart! 🤣

@@peepsg the best way it could be explained is that zangief is based on kinnikuman, he is a wrestler who fights with or without the red shirt, from the anime and manga of the same name

@@agudgorl Crisp Switch portraits look quite nice indeed, being faithful to the originals. My only complaints are the lack of animations (I feel the game loses some of its personality) and for some reason, it seems the colors are not as vibrant?

@@peepsg Nope, they ported the HD remaster from PS3/360. And of course It is only my opinion, I have friends that prefer the SNES or Saturn ports which is fine, but I don't really know people who likes the HD ones. But If I know someone who likes It that would be fine too.
