Contra: Shattered Soldier no-miss ALL S-rank clear (Stages 6 and 7 + ending) 

Everybody who plays Contra is a winner.

The funniest thing to me is when the helicopter transformer thing literally straddles the cockpit of the plane and I gotta imagine the pilot is like "Welp. I sure hope it's going okay up there."

I remember when I passed this game and got this ending I was very disappointed. But now after reading all these comments I can proudly say I passed this very hard game.

It's a throwback to the NES era games, sure. It was quite enough for me, I didn't need a five-minute long ending cutscene to validate the accomplishment for me. I already conquered the game, I took everything it could throw at me and came out on top. That was all the reward I needed.

Thank you for your video series about this game. Because of it I was able to complete this game.

Here's a tip: immediately after the frog spits at you, just simply get right up close to it before it starts throwing those q-tip shaped things at you and use the flame thrower. While you're right next to the frog just duck right before it shoot those things again. If you do it correctly the frog shouldn't fly to the background once. Another tip: when fighting the tentacle monster thing use the grenades. I know it sounds strange but give it a try. You should kill it within 20 seconds.

Thanx man. I never saw the ending. This game is awesome and worth the dedication. Compliments are useless when you get a total S. Hard to believe. I know you are not the first to do it, but it doesn't matter: for sure, no one can do better. I couldn' t even get close: I never killed the boss in Stage 5. :)))

I never managed to beat it with S ending. That last boss always killed me at least once. Annoying.

I remember getting this ending, but as I recall, even after completing the game there was one cutscene still locked in the extras. Can't remember what it was, but I know I didn't fulfill the game completely because of that.

I don't remember having any big troubles with that attack. Just stay all the way back and when you jump move forward at the same time, that should take you over both the balls safely.

@RealFnDeal6969: Similar to many of the other Contra games, even though "Shatter Solider" has more of a storyline than many of the other titles in the series.

This is such a great game with REAL difficulty and challenge. No homosexual easy as hell, casual, hand holding and everything else in video games today. Contra needs to come back to home consoles! And real Contra -_- not a casualized Contra.
