Numbers 3:10,
And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office..
Exodus 29:9,
..Aaron and his sons..and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.
Numbers 18:1-7,

We are saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. No works involved. It's heartbreaking to see these demonic cults (and that's exactly what they are) such as the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses preaching otherwise. Salvation is a perfectly free gift.

@bradom8052

Shaun Butterfield we are saved by faith, faith is the desire for a relationship with God and that he will save you from your sins through his son. Jesus saves you through faith and faith alone but true faith and passion for a relationship with God will bring about works. Do not mix up cause and effect
@greasyhandsauto-shaunbutte9726
Brado M I wasn’t mixing up anything. We are saved by grace but we are also told to be perfect, we are told nobody can enter the kingdom of heaven but he that does the father’s will. Paul said the law (works) doesn’t save anybody because the audience hadn’t given up the law of Moses. You want to speak of cause and effect? Newsflash, accepting Jesus Christ is a work. 🤔. We are saved by grace only because we don’t have the ability to save ourselves. Salvation from death is free but eternal life requires sacrifice and good works, then his grace is sufficient. Mathew 5:48 be ye therefore perfect. That requires work. Again, accepting Jesus is a work. People that don’t believe in Jesus will be saved from death. Your claims are wrong and not scriptural. Faith without works is dead, The devils believe and tremble. They haven’t accepted Jesus. Again, a work.

Anthony Lambson I know we are saved by grace. There is no other way period. But to say we don’t need to do all we can, is complete blasphemy. We need to do good works. Isn’t accepting Jesus a good work? He does not want us to be idle. He wants us to produce fruits. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints does not nor, has ever taught anything other than being saved by grace. We know we can’t save ourselves. We believe in good works but frankly don’t you? Jesse really needs to read The Book of Mormon if, she is going to criticize it. @Headless Horseman I guess that I am really bowled over by the logic and strength of your argument, that I guess that I will change my faith and follow Jesus. What did Jesus say? "He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved." Does that not contradict the Evangelical Christian biblical interpretation from the 1960's? Which one am I supposed to believe: the words of Jesus Christ or the Evangelical Christian biblical interpretation from the 1960's? Oh about the Book of Mormon validation, maybe you should get in touch with more current facts. here is a good one to listen to:- Book of Mormon evidence they didn't tell you about ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nRxdGUp3LKY.html I would be interested to know what way God's words are written? I thought it was delivered through prophets and not for private interpretation. If you listen to Bart Erhman, the supposed definition of the Trinity was not a 1st century Christian teaching. Please correct me if I am wrong with your knowledge of the scriptures and the whole process of transmission of the scriptures of our day. Can you please identify the prophet who sanctioned this, as God is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets." So if it wasnt a biblical teaching from the prophets, who came up with the idea, and who endorsed it? Oh was that a minority group who had wealth and political power? Who backed that up? Oh Constantine a wife killing, child killing murderous pagan Sun worshipper: I don't mean the Son of God either. Obviously a prophet who had authority to make such a declaration Can you explain to me John 1, in the beginning of what? Is this a relative or absolute beginning? I look forward to hearing from you.

I want everyone to pay careful attention to what Jessie uses as her measurement for "Truth" in all of her videos, The Bible. Pointing out contradictions comparing the book of Mormon to the Bible is easy for many individuals to accept. Pointing out the contradictions in this flawed measuring stick we call the Bible is more difficult for the believing Christian to accept. Take any of the Gospels and compare each story in detail and I guarantee you will see discrepancies. For example, During Jesus temptations, What was the second temptation? To jump off the Temple or bow down and worship Satan? Matthew said the first, Luke said the second. Did Jesus ride one animal into Jerusalem as stated by Mark or did he ride two animals as stated by Matthew? Did Jesus have a long conversation with Pilate as stated by John or was he silent except for uttering two words as in Mark? Could someone please help me understand how anyone can try and point out a flaw in a religious group, when their own religion is so terribly flawed in itself?

Chris Shearer it’s an appeal to authority argument... that being the Bible which, to many Christians, is the perfect and complete written document of god’s word. Really good point, I was thinking a similar thing while listening to this. There’s good evidence to support that the Bible itself is fallible and that the accounts therein deserve to be held to the same type of cross examination.
@haileykeller8357
@haileykeller8357 4 года назад
Chris Shearer So the gospels were eye witness accounts of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. If 4 different people witnessed the same crime, they would all have minor differences in their testimonies but the meaning or overall gist of the story is the same. That is to be expected. If all 4 gospels were exactly the same, that would actually be suspicious. In a court of law, it is expected that different eye witnesses have minor details that aren’t the same from each other, but as long as the gist or the main idea is the same, then they can be overlooked. No two people will tell a story exactly the same way, and if they did, it could be suspicious because that could mean that they were conspiring with each other to tell a lie. I would definitely recommend researching explanations for this (mine might not be the best) instead of writing the whole thing off
@otisdylan9532
@otisdylan9532 3 года назад
@@haileykeller8357 That's why people shouldn't feel they need to claim that The Bible has no contradictions. A book need not be completely free of contradictions to have great value. But if contradictions within The Bible are legit, then contradictions between The Bible and the BOM are also legit.
@haileykeller8357
@haileykeller8357 3 года назад
@@otisdylan9532 well the Bible has zero contradictions. A contradiction is when one part says something and another part states the opposite case with little or no evidence. In a police report, there will be slight differences between eye witness testimonies of a crime, but that doesn’t mean they contradict themselves. People have different perspectives or focused on different details, but the police would still accept the testimonies because it would actually be suspicious if they were all exactly the same. The Bible has zero contradictions because it is God’s inspired word and God is very consistent, righteous to preserve His Word, never changes and therefore never changes what he says, and always keeps his word. God can’t make mistakes. There are SO MANY legit contradictions between the Bible and the Book of Mormon!
@gz67
@gz67 2 года назад
Your objections actually reaffirm the validity of the New testament letters. It shows that the New Testament was written by different authors and the details may not be the same, but the overwhelming teachings of Jesus and His identity is taught by all..no contradictions there. This actually is evidence that the writings of the New Testament are genuine and not contrived by a planned deception or story telling by one or just a few individuals. We would expect to have some minor discrepancies between the writers as they are telling what they have witnessed and heard or saw. But the overall message of the letters is unanimously the same throughout. This is what separates Christians from pseudo-christian cults. They always add or take away certain teachings or practices that fundamentally contradict historic Christianity that hold certain truths to be unchangeable.

The lake of fire can't be thrown into the lake of fire. Death is the end. The holy spirit is what breathes life intocreation. If we believe in an eternal punishing of a live soul we are saying Gods spirit is going to be keeping people Alive for eternity in hell? No. Only jesus can make us eternal. Nothing else. We are not immortal unless jesus gives us eternal life and salvation. The dead will be raised and we will all be judged. The bible says the dead know nothing. The Book of Mormon contradicts every central doctrine of the Bible. The Divine Nature of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (the Trinity), being saved by grace through faith not of works, the Virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the Deity of Jesus Christ, Mormons teach that one day they can become god's in which God Himself says you can't in ISAIAH 43:10, 45:5, Mormons believe that God is a man, again the Bible doesn't teach this. Mormons teach that the angel Moroni came down from heaven and gave Joseph Smith the Book of Mormon. Let's hear what God Himself says about this in: GALATIANS 1:6-9 "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who CALLED you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed..." There you are Mormons, God Himself telling you that He did not send any angel from heaven to Joseph Smith.

Hey, Jessie. Why don't you spend a little time talking about contradictions between the Bible and the Bible? There are every bit as many self-contradictions in the Bible as there are contradictions between the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The only difference is that Christians are just, by definition, right about everything related to religion and have no need for introspective, or to look critically at their own religious beliefs and religious history. No, there is absolutely no need for that: The goal is to be critical of other religions while at the same time imagine that their own religious beliefs are incontrovertible and do not need to be questioned at any level. But it's actually not difficult to figure out that Christianity in general has no more merit than the Mormon church. You just have to willing enough and honest enough to look.

@@otisdylan9532 Well, it's been a year since I posted my statement. But I am more than happy to reply to what seems to be Biblical Contradictions. I run into these questions of contradiction while I myself study the scriptures. My suggestion for you would be like a skeptic reporter in a sense when you run into contradiction and asked WHY and What is the text trying to communicate. The Bible has stood the test of time of all skeptics since the beginning of time itself. There is nothing new under the sun. I not writing this to take an attack side I want you to know that from the start. Your right, quickly looking at the Bible It seems the OT God is not the same as the NT God. That's a position that the Jews take that Jesus was not the Son of God. I don't take that position cause I believe the NT actually fulfilled OT prophecy and I believe what this old book says that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God. He's our Lord and Saviour. That comes with serious study no matter what position you take. I understand your point about the John and Mary. It's a good question . Even though John was of the tribe Judah according to scripture he wasn't the biological father. However, Mary was also of the tribe of Judah. Also this fulfilled prophecy in Genesis 3 :14-15 The Lord God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go and dust shall you eat all the days of your life. 15) I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring he ( Christ ) shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his (Christ) heel. Christ's crucifixion and resurrection was the prophecy that was fulfilled but not finished in Genesis. That's my take on your concerns. @tadgriffin1977
@tadgriffin1977 5 лет назад
@Avenged- Sevenfold Well, I am still confused about your “dodge this” comment as I see nothing in your remarks that would require “dodging”. What I do see in your comment is some faulty assumptions stacked on top of incorrect presuppositions. For starters the prophet Joseph Smith did NOT, I repeat, did NOT make any changes or revisions to the King James Version of the Bible in the way you have claimed in your comment. Your understanding of the issues at hand has been victimized by critics who always try to spin things in the worst possible ways rather than providing genuine understanding of the issues at hand. The King James Version(KJV) of the Bible that LDS Christians use is EXACTLY the same as the KJV of the Bible that sectarian Christians use. Your comments make it sound like the KJV of the Bible that LDS Christians use is somehow different from the KJV of the Bible that creedal Christians use- when that is just not the case at all. What the Prophet Joseph Smith did do is use the KJV of the Bible as a springboard to form what is referred to as the “Joseph Smith Translation” (Referred to here on as JST). The JST is not canonized Scripture for Latter-day Saints, JST Genesis 1-6 and Mathew 24, which are both found in The Pearl of Great Price excepted. The JST is not the LDS version of the Bible. The King James Version of the Bible is- and it always has been. It is the KJV of the Bible that is part of our official canon of Scripture or what is sometimes referred to as “The Standard Works” of the Church including the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants and Pearl of Great Price. So where does the JST fit in? In 1828 the word “translation” had a much broader meaning than it does today. The Joseph Smith “Translation” should be understood as supplemental to our canon of Scripture and contains a variety of elements such as additional revelation, alternate readings, prophetic commentary or midrash, harmonization, clarification and corrections OF the original as well as corrections TO the original. It is not my understanding that non-LDS Christians believe that EVERY passage of scripture has only one specific precise correct meaning identically applied in all contexts. Such a straightjacketed approach would be absurd. The Prophet Joseph Smith often saw more than one meaning in a passage and brought many of these explicitly to our attention by means of the JST. However, the existence of a JST variant reading for a passage ought NOT to imply that the KJV is “incorrect” in the purest sense of the term, since the Book of Mormon and Doctrine & Covenants sometimes agree with the KJV rather than the JST. We simply require a more mature, sophisticated and enlightened understanding to grasp the Prophets intent with the JST than is ever provided by critics of the Church- or what we see in your pseudo-confident comment that somehow requires “dodging”. Of course we as LDS Christians believe the JST is “inspired”, but that is not the same thing as saying it always restores the original “texts” of the biblical books. There is more going on here than that. By the way, if the Prophet Joseph Smith wanted to change or rewrite Scripture he certainly could have as Biblical prophets often changed or rewrote Scripture- but that is not the Prophets core concern or issue with the JST. As LDS Christians we are not obsessed with “text” in the way our fellow evangelical brothers and sisters are. As LDS Christians we are not bound by “sola-scriptura”- nor do we adhere to an “inerrant” view of Scripture as many Evangelicals are famous for. We see these approaches as being what largely well intended men do when they are without access to living oracles of God. What matters for LDS Christians and for Joseph Smith as well as all biblical prophets is not the text itself but the pure revelation that is driving the text. This is a key difference. LDS Christians sometimes get the impression that if Evanglicals Christians believed there really was a true Prophet of God on the earth today that they would sort of hover around the Prophet waiting for him to write something down. Then when the Prophet did write something down they would take the text and run off with it to some secluded spot to hyper-analyze and study the “text” instead of just talking to the living oracle of God himself. The term “bibliodolatry” comes to mind here. On this matter Stephen E. Robinson in “How Wide the Divide: A Mormon and an Evangelical in Conversation” (A fair starter book for Evangelicals honestly seeking to understand the LDS Christian position by the way) says the following: ---- ---- ----- ----- ----- “Scripture is mediated revelation, derivative revelation. The direct revelation to a prophet or an apostle is immediate and primary, and this is the word of God in the purest sense- as “word” and “hearing” rather than as “text”. However, the recording, transmission and interpretation of the word depends on fallible human beings, using the fallible human tools of reason and language. Thus, Scripture is the word of God for Latter-day Saints, “as far as it is translated correctly.” For Latter-day Saints, the church’s guarantee of doctrinal correctness lies primarily in the living prophet, and only secondarily in the preservation of the written text. This is, after all, the New Testament model. The ancient apostles and prophets themselves were the “primary” oracles. What makes Scripture normative is not anything that may have happened to the text as text, but rather that it records what “holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Pet 1:20-21). In other words, what makes Scripture “theopneustos” (“inspired” or “God breathed”) is not its “written” character but its “revealed” character. Writing it down preserves the inspired revelation and makes it accessible to the wider church, but that is secondary to the original revelation itself. The “record” of revelation cannot logically be more authoritative that the “experience” of revelation. There would have been no Scripture in the first place had not God revealed his word, person-to-person, to a living, breathing human being. And it is the continued presence of the one who received the revelation in the first place, or his inspired successors (prophets in the Old Testament, apostles in the New), that ensures the written word will be interpreted and applied correctly to new contexts. THIS IS THE BIBLICAL PATTERN.” ---- ---- ----- ----- ----- To sum up... when the issues are better understood than how you have presented them your question is difficult to take seriously as holding any real weight. The Restored Gospel is beautiful and true… and i am grateful for living Apostles on the earth today and for the Prophet Joseph Smith and his contribution to this great work in these the latter-days.

@Avenged- Sevenfold Atheists have sources to their claims to prove the Bible is false. This does not mean they have genuine understanding any more than you do just because you have "sources". The book of James talks about this. But the key difference here is that as a Christian we believe we are saved (given salvation) by Christ alone and it's a gift from God. Whereas Mormonism teaches that you are only saved IF you do good works. As if you can "earn your way into heaven" by doing 'good' things. Which ironically is exactly what Jesus criticised the Pharisees for. Prioritising their laws and supposedly good works over their faith. The reality is that its through grace and grace alone that we are saved. Which is only available to us when we accept Jesus into our lives.

Only Levites that were from the lineage of Aaron were aloud to hold the priesthood this is fact. Also like Jessie said only ONE temple is was allowed, that HAD to be in Jerusalem according to the law, thats why when Daniel was in captivity, or whenever the children of Israel were in captivity they prayed towards Jerusalem, as they knew that was the place the Most High ordained as holy. That never changed throughout the BC period, and even christ said that he didn't come to change the law but to fulfil, meaning that he came not only as the lamb for mankind, but to stop the children of Israel abusing carnal sacrifices, so that without true love for the father and worship through the son no one could to enter the kingdom of heaven.

"The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s . . . " (D&C 130:22). The true and living God the Father was never once a man. He is an uncreated being. The true and living God has always existed. He is the first, uncaused cause of everything you see. He lives outside of time, space and matter because He created time, space and matter. He is self-existent. He has no mother or father, does not need air, food, water, sex, sleep, shelter, clothing, etc.. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable, transcendent, infinitely holy, eternal and so much more. The highest heavens cannot contain Him. Amen. ****** Having the “image” or “likeness” of God means, in the simplest terms, that we were made to resemble God. Adam did not resemble God in the sense of God’s having flesh and blood. Scripture says that “God is spirit” (John 4:24) and therefore exists without a body. However, Adam’s body did mirror the life of God insofar as it was created in perfect health and was not subject to death. The image of God (Latin: imago dei) refers to the immaterial part of humanity. It sets human beings apart from the animal world, fits them for the dominion God intended them to have over the earth (Genesis 1:28), and enables them to commune with their Maker. Paul preached (and repeated) that if any man or angel preached another gospel then let him be accursed. He warned of false prophets and false Christs. Jesus gave us another test: "You shall know them by their fruits." A good tree cannot produce bad fruit. God always always always gives us simple (and intellectual) tests to know if something is true. Not once in the whole Bible does he say to pray for a good feeling. He actually says that the heart is deceitful above all things. Feelings are subjective and can lead you astray. In terms of the Book of Mormon, rather than praying about it one should search the Bible (what God has already revealed) and see if they match up. And also to put Joseph Smith to the test. Did he produce good or bad fruit? Did all of this prophecies come true? Did he preach the same Christ? Did he lead people after a false god? Etc. After all, shouldn't you bet your soul on something more than Joseph's word and good feelings?

Psalms 51:5 Behold, i was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
@MichaelEllisYT
@MichaelEllisYT 5 лет назад
Some of these points were good others were sort of weak: 1. Little children cannot sin. 2. Adam and Eve's sin. 3. Black skin = curse. 4. Saved after all we can do. 5. Plain and precious truths lost. 6. Darkness over the earth. 7. No Levite priests. 8. Many High Priests. 9. Multiple temples. 10. Old Testament worship references missing. #1 This one was pretty weak in my opinion first because the counter Bible verse comes from Psalms which were written by King David. We don't know that his opinion is necessarily accurate. Similar to how Paul gives his opinion on some things, but makes sure to point out when he is quoting the Lord. But even setting that aside, the Moroni 8:8 is given in the context of Christ having already come and that children are made whole through Christ. The Old Testament reference isn't comparable because it comes from before Christ. #2 This one doesn't seem like a contradiction and more like the Book of Mormon filling in missing information. As you said "there is no biblical support" for this position, but that doesn't make it a contradiction. #3 The Bible contains reference to someone's skin becoming black as a result of being cursed. Job 30:30. The Bible also contains plenty accounts of favoritism especially in the Old Testament. #4 Yeah, this one is pretty weird. #5 The Bible as a whole has survived relatively intact since it was completed. I think the bigger problem lies in the compilation process of the Bible. Highly regarded books during the time of Christ, such as the Book of Enoch(which is quoted in the New Testament), did not make it into the canon of most Bibles. Meanwhile we also have the addition of such stories as the woman taken in adultery, which is not present in the original texts. This passage from the Book of Mormon text would be more accurate if it was understood to mean texts left out of the Bible during the compilation process rather than truths lost from the Bible after it was completed. Though the masoretic and Septuagint derived texts are not without their errors. #6 This one is pretty weak. We have multiple times when there are other examples of when the phrase "whole earth" is used to mean the region round about. For example Exodus 10:15. #7 - #10 These ones are the strongest points in my opinion.

On the first point, you have taken the Moroni 8.8 verse out of context. It concerns the question of whether little children need to be baptized. It is not saying that little children have not inherited the disadvantages of mortality and fallen nature from Adam's Transgression. It is saying that they are not capable of committing sin in the sense of conscious deliberate transgression of a commandment of God. They have not reached the age at which God holds them responsible. They are whole in the sense that Christ has taken the condemnation from them. It may be what Paul was alluding to in Romans 7. 9 "I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died". When was Paul "alive once"? Surely it was before he reached the age of accountability and awareness of the commandment. As for Adam's fall that men might be, Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith wrote that, when Eve transgressed, Adam was faced with a dilemma. He and Eve were in such dissimilar states that they could not have children together. He then chose to join her for the sake of having children. LDS do view the Fall as having been anticipated by God (as do most Christians). They think it was because God's wisdom decided that a greater good could come from men being afflicted by evil and the disadvantages of mortal life and overcoming these things by learning to trust and obey God. As for by grace we are saved after all we can do, the context shows that all we can do is "believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God" (2 Nephi 25.23). God makes everyone capable of believing in Christ.

@@kellygreen3943 I can reassure you that I do trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Savior. I am not LDS, but I have LDS friends, and I am concerned that Christians should be accurate in discussing LDS beliefs and the teaching of the Book of Mormon. There is a big difference between the BoM and later LDS doctrines as developed latterly by Joseph and Brigham Young. The BoM teachings on Jesus and salvation are very close to the Bible, whereas the Book of Abraham etc. constitute a radical change away from the original teaching of Father, Son and Holy Ghost as the one everlasting God. Many LDS people do have faith in Jesus Christ and His blood atonement, and resurrection, and in the Holy Spirit helping them to live a holy life, and other aspects of Christian truth. Not all are really knowledgeable of the very unbiblical later views of Smith and Young etc. They get by with a faith that is very close to the Bibllical one, although of course when they come to depend on secret temple rituals they are being led away from it, rather like the Galatian and Colossian Christians whom St Paul had to warn. I only appeal for Christians to deal factually, not misrepresent what the BoM teaches, and understand that many LDS have been brought up in that church to have a love for and trust in Jesus Christ. We must find a way to affirm the truths they hold about Jesus, while pointing out the very serious errors which were introduced after the BoM, when the uniqueness of Father Son and Holy Ghost as the only true and everlasting God was denied. I think witnessing to LDS people must be a very patient and loving work. I observe that some Christians attack LDS for holding doctrines which some true Christians hold, for example, Calvinists condemn them for rejecting their double predestination doctrine and antinomianism. Much of early LDS doctrine on faith and holiness is akin to Wesleyanism, which is why it attracted a lot of early converts.

Thank so much for another great video. It's amazing how many contradictions and still members can't see or refuse to. The main way they keep their members in blindness is by saying the Bible wasn't translated correctly. They really don't want members reading the Bible, and they must not because literally almost everything it says contradicts,. The whole gospel essentially is different. It's like they want you to believe that Jesus came back and said never mind, everything I told you before I left, I changed my mind, this is the way it is, here's all these rules I forgot to tell you about. There's so many things that are just so obviously false it's unbelievable how many fall for it. So, I need help. I was raised Mormon and I left the church for a long time. I decided to come back, but I wanted to know Jesus more before I did. I had never read the Bible as an adult and after I did and started becoming close to the Lord, I started reading the BOM again. While I was reading it, so many red flags, I kept thinking, this doesn't sound like the Jesus I came to know through the Bible. I kept pushing back my feelings but one day while reading the D & C I heard an almost audible voice saying "THIS IS NOT ME, THESE ARE NOT MY WORDS!" It almost frightened me, but I was so wrapped into thinking I was going to go back to the Mormon church I tried to tell myself it was just Lucifer himself trying to stop me. As I kept reading, the voice became stronger and stronger, I knew with all certainty it was Christ himself speaking to me. I saw the contradictions. Holy Spirit guided me and brought to my remembrance the words of Jesus in the Bible and showed me how none of it fit. The Lord doesn't change his mind, God is not a man that he should lie. I was letting my girls go to Mormon church while I was on my journey to find the truth, but then I realized something.. They were learning about a false Christ. This is the greatest problem with the LDS church. They are literally robbing people of their salvation. They made up this Jesus. It's like you read a biography of someone with the same name, then you meet the other person and say oh I read all about you I know you so well! What happens? That person says depart from me I never knew you and you don't know me. They don't teach the prayer of salvation. Their whole works based system is robbing people of their salvation. It's truly sad. All these people thinking they're serving the Lord, so much wasted time. I watch my dad spend hours day by day reading the BOM, rarely will pick up the Bible. He's so brainwashed with the BOM that he wouldn't even be able to see all the contradictions, and if he did, he'd chalk it up to JS lie about it not being translated correctly. My dad is truly not saved. When I prayed the prayer of salvation and I received the Holy Spirit, my life changed dramatically. I can not even tell a white lie without feeling so convicted. My dad lies, my dad has so much pride and so many things that make me realize he's not saved, he does not have the Holy Spirit. Yes, we all sin, but after being a member of a church supposedly of Jesus Christ himself for almost 60 years, you would think he'd at least not be telling lies and acting the way he does. I know this is long, thank you for reading if you've gotten this far 😂 It is a very hard thing I'm going through because we live with my dad. Since i have told him I'm not going to be going back to church and that I don't want my girls going either, he's made our lives a living hell. He thinks I am literally posessed by a demon. He is lying to my daughters about me. I'm in a hard position because I'm not able to survive on my own without him due to health problems. I have given myself 100% to the Lord and it is very hard to not be bitter towards my dad. It affects my relationship with the Lord. I do have compassion on my dad and look at it that way. I know his pride and ego will prevent him from hearing what I have to say, I have to try though. I am going to write him a letter and explain everything and try to show him why I believe he's been misled but I know he won't receive it. I am also cleansing my home of all demonic things and want my home to be a house of the Lord but there's all these things in his room, Joseph Smith statues, Mormon paintings etc. Are these abominations to the Lord? I know I can't throw out his property but I take everything so seriously in serving him. I believe items can let the demonic in. There's so many questions I have. Do we leave this home? I have been there for my dad all my life, I love him dearly. My mom passed 30 years ago and I've spent all that time caring for him. He loves my girls and I don't know what to do. He is lying to them about me, lying to others about me, saying outrageous things like I'm stealing his money, I'm taking off and leaving my girls and just outrageous things. I don't know if this is dementia kicking in, or just Satan himself but it's horrible. I have lived my life to please him. I am a devoted mother who loves her girls more than anything, well next to the Lord of course. He has changed so much after receiving the jab too. I know some truths about that the Lord has revealed to me so not surprising. Any advice from my brothers and sisters in Christ would be greatly appreciated and valued. Thank you for your wonderful work Jessie. You have helped me so much. It's such a hard journey to break away. Anyone who is coming to the truth and the Mormon church, I advise you to do something that helped me, pray to the Father for forgiveness in being deceived and ask him to help you wipe out the memories if the false Christ you were taught so that you can fill your mind and heart with the true Biblical Jesus. He is the way the truth and the life! God bless you all!

being a christian is not always easy. the decisions you are placed with are not always so cut and dry. i think of abraham, who was raised in ur of the chaldees. he hated every minute of it. he hated good gods and bad gods and crockadile gods and turtle gods and river gods. but he could not leave because god had put the 10 commandments in his heart. he knew about the first commandment, but he also knew about honor thy father and thy mother. and he knew he owed his father deep love and respect. and that meant caring for him in his old age. so abraham stayed in the land of pagans and idol worshippers, and took care of his father until his father died. and then god made a way for him to leave the land of idol worshippers, and he went on to become the father of all the hebrews, the first father of moses and aaron and to all those who have the 10 commandments written in their heart. and in the end, there's nothing written that tells you not to speak up for what you know is right. there's also something written to remind you that you should honor your father. exactly what choices you make and what you do is a matter between you and god.

@Avenged- Sevenfold Isn't that like asking why do you need Noah's consent to get into heaven or be safe by entering the ark before the flood? Why did Moses's people need Moses to escape slavery and cross the Red Sea? Is it because prophets like Moses and Noah came before Jesus Christ? But Joseph Smith can't be a modern "Noah" or "Moses" because he came along 1800 years after Christ? Is this an issue of chronologically who came before or after Jesus Christ? The Holy Ghost is meant to be personal proof. I can't transfer my own experiences of being influenced by the Holy Ghost onto you, but it's possible that by me saying something to you, that you could feel the influence of the Holy Ghost from something I said. Also, Latter-Day Saints believe that except for Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith made the second greatest contribution to the salvation of souls after Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean it had to have been Joseph Smith, it just happened to be him. And he just followed instructions from Jesus Christ, so you could say it was only Jesus Christ and not Joseph Smith if you wanted. This is what's implied by temple building and temple work besides missionaries and missionary work. As far as tangible proof, I would watch Hidden in Heartland. What we need to know and believe: WHY WE NEED A SAVIOR: Rom. 3:10-28 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things so ever the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Rom. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:]

We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression. you don't believe that all your works are tainted by sin and your sin nature. you don't even believe you have a sin nature. you believe you will become a god by constantly choosing the right. you don't believe in a sin nature, and you have no need for jesus to save you by grace. james was a brother of jesus and he accepted jesus and was fully relliant upon the mercy of jesus. you mormons have written the grace of god out of the bible entirely, that's why you quote scripture out of context. it's because you don't believe it.

Yes, James 2:24 is very disconcerting. There are 112 verses in the christian Bible that teach faith alone. But, here we have one verse that seems to contradict the other 112. So, what do we do here? Do we throw away the 112 verses, or do we seriously and meticulously study the reason for this seemingly glaring contradiction? Or, do we build an entire religion (such as mormonism and jehova witnesses) around this one verse. In the Book of James, notice that James refers to those he is speaking to as "brethen". Brethen is Greek for "christian brothers". On 5 occasions, James refers to the people he is addressing as "brethren". These people James is addressing are already christian brothers, people who have already believed in the death, burial, and ressurection of Christ, by which they are already saved. (1 Cor 15: 1-4). Now, that they are saved, they are expected to be effective christians and do good works.

Jessie is a false prophetess. 1. She overtly denies the omniscience of God. She says men know more than God. 2. She denies all Scripture including The Bible. She claims that her wisdom is greater than Scripture. She says all Scripture including The Bible are unreliable because they contradict her. 3. She teaches never to pray to God. She says you should pray to men, like she does, or pray to her, that she gives better answers than God. Worse still, Jessie girl claims that Scripture taught her never to pray. 4. She claims that her feigned baby voice is superior to the still, small voice of The Spirit of God, hence, men should rely on her. 5. She claims The Bible contradicts The Book of Mormon, which claim is an outright lie from satan himself. In reality Jessie never reads either, she only googles for dumb data to deliver. She is not worth watching. Her presentations are uninspired and unintelligent.

@@naomirachel1755 It doesnt. The dead cannot be baptised. If you depart this life having rejected Jesus then Jesus will deny that person before the Father. There can't be any saving after death. Exodus 19:5-6 explains her misunderstanding about how Lehi could have had the priesthood. In speaking to all of the tribes of Israel the Lord says that He would that they all be a nation of Priest, and not just the Levites. The Levites were also only given the Aaronic priesthood, which facilitated their authority to perform ordinances. but we know that some if not all of the prophets throughout the Bible were given the Melchizedek priesthood. this is a higher priesthood, but did not disallow for the performing of ordinances. Melchizedek Himself offered sacrifices in Gen 14. Alma 5:44, 13:1-18, 43:1-2, and 2 Nephi 6:2 all explain that the priesthood which Lehi had was in fact the Melchizedek priesthood, or the priesthood after the holy order of God (Heb. 7:8-25). Aaronic priests are called according to the lesser law of Moses, while the Melchizedek Priests are called according to the higher law of Christ. That was a simple enough point to debunk, the rest may take much more to explain. It's easy to cite two passages and then explain how you think they contradict each other, but much more involving to explain their full context, and doctrines. hence why so many flock to these garbage videos because they think they war getting truth from the shallow and uninspired rhetoric of uneducated people, and since it takes far more to undo the damage then to do the damage in the first place, many don't even bother debunking this crap. it is no wonder that the Lord hides His plain and precious truths in parables and stories and requires actual study and searching to find answers to important questions, because the swine and dogs do nothing but destroy and mock the pearls of His truths.

I know this is an old post, but just wanted to point out Jessie just prove the Bible is false. Because she lives in a glass house, let us used her rock tools and see how the Bible contradicts itself (just a few examples). Saved Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:28 tells us we are saved by grace through our faith. However most of the book of James tells us faith without works is dead. Revelation 20:12 tells us we will be judged by our works. (a lot more here but will stop for now…). Man & Sin Both Romans and Ecclesiastes tells us man sins. But 1 John tells us that no one who is born of God sins. Empty tomb Matthew 28:8 & Luke 24:8 The women ran to tell the disciples the tomb is empty. However in Mark 16:8 the women said nothing to anyone… See a light or hear a voice Contradiction between Acts 9:7 and 22:9, did they see a light and hear no voice, or did they hear a voice and saw no light? Seeing God 1 John 4:12 & 1 Timothy 6:16 tells us no one has ever seen God. However Genesis 18:1, Exodus 33:11 tells us both Abraham and Moses saw God. So Jessie just proved the Bible is not the word of God! Good thing she is wrong. BTW I love the Bible and Book of Mormon, and they are both the word of God. Most of these contradictions can be explained and understood.

1) Psalms 51:5: “I was born guilty, a sinner when my mother conceived me” (NRSV) A sinner before I was even created? Not likely. Let’s check KJV: “I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” That’s better- it seems it’s speaking of his mother. Children not being guilty of sin doesn’t mean they don’t sin, it simply means they are not guilty at the judgement, made possible by the atonement. This is a very satisfying clarification for me. 2) Nowhere did you quote anything from the Bible that refutes this about Adam and Eve. It was “necessary” is different from it being a sin. 3) No, it doesn’t say whites are superior to blacks. The curse is the separation from God’s people because of their iniquity. The mark on the skin is to reinforce this separation. Read it more carefully. All men being of one blood is not a contradiction either. “He denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female…all are alike unto God.” (2Nephi 26:33) 4) There are actually more scriptures that seemingly tell us works are necessary for salvation as there are that seem to say the opposite. For example James 2: 14-14,17-- "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." Let's be honest, ALL faiths have something you must DO to QUALIFY for salvation, even if it is simply believing, otherwise all would be saved. The extent of this qualification is what separates them. For Mormons we qualify by faith, repentance and baptism. We do not and cannot earn it as you imply. We also must endure to the end. (Mark 13:13) Jesus did not preach easy-believism. Our complete discipleship is required. 5) Origen (c. AD 185-255) was one of the earliest and most respected Christian writers. The Bible had not yet been compiled-they only had circulated manuscripts. Origen noted, “The differences among the manuscripts have become great, either through negligence of some copyists or through the perverse audacity of theirs; they either neglect to check over what they have transcribed, or in the process of checking, they make additions or deletions as they please”. This phenomenon was also noted by Justin Martyr, another early Christian writer. He observed that certain important prophecies of Christ had been removed from the Jewish scriptures. The Bible itself can testify to this fact as there are 13 books of scripture mentioned in the Bible that are not in the Bible, not to mention that there are literally thousands of verifiable errors. (see Misquoting Jesus by Bart Ehrman) Although it may be true that there were in fact deletions, I believe the main things taken from the Bible were doctrinally deleted. Primary doctrines such as salvation for the dead, the nature of God, a premortal life, how man is saved, all found in the Bible, but have been ignored, voted out, or twisted until it is as if they were not there at all. All of which was primary doctrine with the early Christians. 6) When the Book of Mormon says “the whole Earth” it does not actually mean the entire planet, but rather every place within the local people’s experience. Note that in the gospel of Luke is says that Caesar taxed "all the world" (Luke 2:1). But he clearly could not have taxed anyone outside the Roman Empire, which, large as it was, was not "all the world." It certainly did not include India or China, or much of anywhere else east of Judea, nor most Arabia to the south and the vast majority of the African continent--let alone the Americas, obviously, which they did not even know. Likewise, when Jesus commanded the apostles to preach the gospel throughout "all the world" (Mark 16:15) there no evidence they went beyond the Roman Empire either. The phrases "all the world" and "the whole earth" in the scriptures and other ancient sources generally lack the global perspective we have today, and are in fact hyperbolic, referring to a more limited region The three days of darkness is consistent with a period of intense volcanism. The Book of Mormon 3 Nephi 8:5-25 provides a detailed description consistent with a massive volcanic and seismic eruption. Such details are precise for both ancient and modern accounts, though they would have been unknown to Joseph Smith. 7) The authority by which sacrifices were offered was the Melchizedek and not the Levitical priesthood.[1] That there are two priesthoods is clear in Hebrews 5:1-10 and Hebrews 7:5-28. Both the Levitical or Aaronic priesthood and the higher Melchizedek priesthood were exercised in Old Testament times and the higher priesthood was used to offer sacrifice (Heb. 7:27). Five Old Testament prophets who were apparently not Levites are mentioned in connection with the offering of sacrifices: 1. Joshua (Ephraimite) - Josh. 8:30-31; 24:30 2. Samuel (Ephraimite) - 1 Sam. 1:1-2, 20; 2:18; 7:9-19; 11:14-15 3. Elijah (Gad or Manassah) - 1 Kings 18:31-38; 17:1 4. David (Judah) - 1 Chron. 16:2; Matt. 1:2-6 5. Solomon (Judah) - 1 Kings 3:2-3; Matt. 1:2-6 The Cambridge Bible Dictionary affirms the fact that although Samuel was "not a priest he performed priestly functions and constantly offered sacrifice at various places" 8) I do not see in any of your references that state there were multiple High Priests at the same time, only over time. Having a living prophet, that would not have been a problem to alter that anyway-same with the exception you mention. 9) All your references to multiple temples are only referring to the temples of the apostates or other religions. In any case, this demonstrates nothing but a lack of knowledge of your source concerning the actual practices of ancient Jews. The fact is that ancient Jews did build temples outside of Jerusalem, and they built a lot of them. The Nephites were exiles from ancient Israelite culture, and would have continued the practices of temple building and worship that they were familiar with. 10) So if you check where these references are in the Bible you may change your tune. For example, I could not find the words “mercy seat” anywhere in the New Testament. You will not find the name of Jesus in the Old Testament. I suppose it depends on the time and the emphasis.

I have seen most if not all of Jeff Durbin’s videos and have commented on many. He is a severe anti-Mormon and very often misrepresents, if not flat out lies about what we believe. For example, we do not teach Jesus was polygamous. He tries to impress you with occasional Greek words. He polarizes us by using typical anti-Mormon terminology, like “Mormon Jesus” and “Bible Jesus”, and “God over our own planet”. I can tell you that LDS beliefs are Biblical-much more than that of Jeff Durbin. If you insist on listening to someone not of our faith tell you what we believe, I would recommend another Pastor named Jeff on a RU-vid series called “HelloSaints”. Instead of insisting that God created such an evil being as Lucifer, making God evil himself, it actually can solve The Problem of Evil, not make it worse. Instead of enveloping all the extra-Biblical councils and their resulting Creeds through the ages (such as the Trinity) and force all these things into the Bible, the restored gospel is Biblical, it is historical (being very similar in beliefs to very early Christianity), and it is spiritual. Best of all, you CAN receive confirmation directly from God of the truth and bypass all the confusion. I have had this experience and can honestly use the words, I know.

Hello Jessie, I really appreciate this video thank you! The question I have is what do you think about the contradictions, issues and discrepancies in the Bible? Some of them are the fact that no one knows who wrote the gospels. Yet we call them Mark, Matthew, Luke and John.
@fayelewis5476

The early church unanimously held that the gospel of Matthew was the first written gospel and was penned by the apostle of the same name (Matt. 10:2-4). Lately, the priority of Matthew as the first written gospel has come under suspicion with Mark being considered by many to be the first written gospel. The debate is far from over. The historian Papias mentions that the gospel of Matthew was originally in Aramaic or Hebrew and attributes the gospel to Matthew the apostle.5 "Irenaeus (ca. A.D. 180) continued Papias's views about Matthew and Mark and added his belief that Luke, the follower of Paul, put down in a book the gospel preached by that apostle, and that John, the Beloved Disciple, published his Gospel while residing in Asia. By the time of Irenaeus, Acts was also linked with Luke, the companion of Paul."6 This would mean that if Matthew did write in Aramaic originally, that he may have used Mark as a map, adding and clarifying certain events as he remembered them. But, this is not known for sure. The earliest quotation of Matthew is found in Ignatius who died around A.D. 115 A.D. Therefore, Matthew was in circulation well before Ignatius came on the scene. The various dates most widely held as possible writing dates of the Gospel are between A.D. 40 - 140. But Ignatius died around A.D. 115, and he quoted Matthew. Therefore Matthew had to be written before he died. Nevertheless, it is generally believed that Matthew was written before A.D. 70 and as early as A.D. 50. Mark Mark was not an eyewitness to the events of Jesus' life. He was a disciple of Peter and undoubtedly it was Peter who informed Mark of the life of Christ and guided him in writing the Gospel known by his name. "Papias claimed that Mark, the Evangelist, who had never heard Christ, was the interpreter of Peter, and that he carefully gave an account of everything he remembered from the preaching of Peter."7 Generally, Mark is said to be the earliest gospel with an authorship of between A.D. 55 to A.D. 70. Luke Luke was not an eyewitness of the life of Christ. He was a companion of Paul who also was not an eyewitness of Christ's life. But, both had ample opportunity to meet the disciples who knew Christ and learn the facts not only from them but from others in the area. Some might consider this damaging to the validity of the gospel but quite the contrary. Luke was a gentile convert to Christianity who was interested in the facts. He obviously had interviewed the eyewitnesses and written the Gospel account as well as Acts. "The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when He was taken up, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen. To these He also presented Himself alive, after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days, and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God." (Acts 1:1-3). Notice how Luke speaks of "them," of those who had personal encounters with Christ. Luke is simply recounting the events from the disciples. Since Luke agrees with Matthew, Mark, and John and since there is no contradictory information coming from any of the disciples stating that Luke was inaccurate and since Luke has proven to be a very accurate historian, we can conclude that Luke's account is very accurate. As far as dating the gospel goes, Luke was written before the book of Acts and Acts does not mention "Nero's persecution of the Christians in A.D. 64 or the deaths of James (A.D. 62), Paul (A.D. 64), and Peter (A.D. 65)."8 Therefore, we can conclude that Luke was written before A.D. 62. "Luke's Gospel comes (Acts 1:1) before the Acts. The date of Acts is still in dispute, but the early date (about A.D. 63) is gaining support constantly."9 John The writer of the gospel of John was obviously an eyewitness of the events of Christ's life since he speaks from a perspective of having been there during many of the events of Jesus' ministry and displays a good knowledge of Israeli geography and customs. The John Rylands papyrus fragment 52 of John's gospel dated in the year 135 contains portions of John 18, verses 31-33, 37-38. This fragment was found in Egypt, and a considerable amount of time is needed for the circulation of the gospel before it reached Egypt. It is the last of the gospels and appears to have been written in the 80's to 90's. Of important note is the lack of mention of the destruction of the Jewish temple in A.D. 70. But this is understandable since John was not focusing on historical events. Instead, he focused on the theological aspect of the person of Christ and listed His miracles and words that affirmed Christ's deity. Though there is still some debate on the dates of when the gospels were written, they were most assuredly completed before the close of the first century and written by eyewitnesses or under the direction of eyewitnesses. carm.org/when-were-gospels-written-and-by-whom

Faye Lewis I appreciate all the details. Did Mark say that he got his source to write the gospel from Peter? Did Luke say he got his source from Paul? Because Luke clearly states how he was inspired to write his gospel in Luke 1:3. He claimed that he wrote his gospel based on what he heard. Matthew didn’t write the gospel according to Matthew. Read Mathew chapter 9 or just read Matthew 9:9.

 @@eismc2518 Perhaps you should read the book, 'Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus,' by Nabeel Qureshi. He went around the world seeking evidence for the validity of the Bible and the Quran. Mark's source was Peter, who was an eyewitness. Matthew is speaking in the third person here. Matthew 9:9 As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector’s booth; and He *said to him, “Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him. I don't think any of the gospels were written in the first person. Papias, Irenaeus, Clement of Alexandria, Eusebius, and Origen all affirm Matthean authorship. While Matthew did not sign his own name to “his” gospel, the early church uniformly attested to the apostle’s authorship of the book. As early as AD 140, a Christian named Papias wrote that Matthew had compiled the sayings of the Lord in Hebrew (presumably before Matthew translated them into Greek for a larger audience). Matthew’s name appears in all the biblical lists of the twelve apostles, though Mark and Luke refer to him as Levi. His history as a tax collector distinguished him from the other apostles, and immediately after his call to follow Jesus-an event he recorded in Matthew 9:9-Matthew hosted a feast for Jesus in his home with an invitation list made up of Matthew’s sinful friends. Apparently Matthew did not think it odd that Jesus and he would associate with the sinful and downtrodden of society.

@UCov5KvGSKx7dkZiBOagURfw All I know is that you have an appointment with death and an appointment with God. Jesus said the only way you will ever get into heaven is through Jesus Christ. Because God is just, He will punish sin-regardless of how well you keep the Five Pillars of Islam. As a Muslim, you long to reach paradise after you die. But as a sinner, how will you escape God’s judgment? You may think, “My faithfulness in keeping the Five Pillars may outweigh my sins. Hopefully, God will admit me to paradise.” You strive to keep the Five Pillars of Islam. Five times a day you kneel toward Mecca. The creed (shahada) often forms on your lips. You bring no bread or water to your mouth during the daylight of Ramadan. You are saving up money for the pilgrimage to Mecca and are freely giving alms to the poor. But still you question, “Is keeping the Five Pillars enough?” Your conscience convicts you of failing God’s standard of holiness. How could the holy God accept to paradise someone stained with even a little sin? Only one sin caused the first man’s downfall. Adam’s sin was not a “big sin” like adultery, murder, or blasphemy. By eating the forbidden fruit, Adam brought the curse of sin and death into the world. Shall we escape? We who have dishonored our parents, lied to our neighbors, or cheated our customers (Exodus 20)? We sin routinely by putting selfish interests ahead of loving God (Matthew 22:36-40). We proudly overlook or excuse our sins. But God does not overlook or excuse any sin. He will judge every thought, word, and deed (Ecclesiastes 12:14; Matthew 12:36; Revelation 20:12-15). God is a righteous Judge. Even on earth, a judge must punish sinners. A judge cannot pardon someone who has stolen just because the criminal claims to visit the mosque every Friday and fast during Ramadan. If sin goes unpunished, the law would be disregarded, and God would be dishonored. God is the just Judge and will not let sin go unpunished, regardless of how well you keep God’s laws or how many good deeds you do. Keeping the Five Pillars of Islam cannot get you to heaven. You are a sinner according to God’s Word (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8). The punishment for our sin is death-eternal death in hell. Our rightful home is hell. We need God’s mercy. But how can God be both merciful and just? The Bible explains how God’s mercy fits with His justice: “For by works of the law no human being will be justified in [God’s] sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it-the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe” (Romans 3:20-22a). Keeping the law cannot get us to heaven. Instead, the law reveals our sin. God’s justice requires eternal death in hell for sin, but His mercy provides eternal life in heaven through faith in Jesus. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). As the eternal Son of God, Jesus is one with God the Father. God sent His Son to earth to become man, but Jesus never ceased being God. Born by the power of the Holy Spirit to the virgin Mary, Jesus didn’t inherit Adam’s sin nature. Jesus is called the second Adam (1 Corinthians 15:22). While Adam’s one disobedience brought the curse of sin on the world, Jesus’ perfect life brings the hope of paradise to those who trust in Him. Jesus took the punishment for sin-death-by dying on the cross on behalf of believing sinners. Then, Jesus rose from the dead, showing He conquered sin and death. Don’t try to take care of sin on your own. Even keeping the Five Pillars of Islam, you will still fall short of God’s perfection. Turn from sin in repentance and turn to Jesus in faith (Luke 24:46-47; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:21-31; Galatians 3:6-14). God forgives believing sinners and gives them eternal life in heaven. God may be working in your heart, showing you your sin and need for Jesus. Receive God’s gift of eternal life! Trust Jesus as your crucified Savior and follow Him as your resurrected Lord!

All religious arguments are basically. "My holy book can so beat up your holy book!" An all powerful god doesn't need a book. He can put his word directly in our hearts. Instead we observe that one's beliefs about gods are highly correlated with one's culture, and our understanding comes mostly from what we are taught by flawed men, rather than by some all knowing being.

Jessie - You have taken a different translation other than the king James Version on Ps51:5 Behold I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me! (KJV). David was simply saying that he was born into an environment where evil is all around him and the sin nature grew in his heart until later in his adult life he committed adultry/murder. **First of all Apostle Paul teaches where there is no law there is no condemnation and little kids are not accountable to God until their age of accountibilty around age 8 because they have not learned His laws/commandments to disobey. Since all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, given time, all of us sin against God. It is true our children misbehave parents, but we are not their eternal Judge as being sinful to God! **Jehovah explained to Adam: “Inasmuch as thy children are conceived in sin, even so when they begin to grow up, sin conceiveth in their hearts, and they taste the bitter, that they may know to prize the good.” (Moses 6:55.) No, we do not believe, with Calvin, in the moral depravity of men and women. No, we do not believe, with Luther, that man does not even have the power to choose good over evil. And we do not believe that children inherit the so-called sin of Adam through either sexual union or by birth. Rather, children are born into a world of sin; conception is simply the vehicle by which the effects of the Fall (not original guilt) are transmitted to Adam’s posterity. Lehi taught Jacob that in the beginning God “gave commandment that all men must repent; for he showed unto all men that they were lost, because of the transgression of their parents.” (2 Ne. 2:21.) Fortunately, the Savior’s redemption was foreordained to atone for these estrangements, first of all Adam’s. As the Lord consoled Adam: “I have forgiven thee thy transgression in the Garden of Eden.” (Moses 6:53.) This declaration must, however, be understood in context. Because “the Son of God hath atoned for original guilt, wherein the sins of the parents cannot be answered upon the heads of the children” (Moses 6:54), we must not conclude that we are unaffected by the Fall. **Are children conceived in sin? Since there is no such thing as original sin, as that expression is used in modern Christendom, it follows that children are not conceived in sin. They do not come into the world with any taint of impurity whatever. When our scriptures say that “children are conceived in sin,” they are using words in an entirely different way than when the same language is recited in the creeds of the world. The scriptural meaning is that they are born into a world of sin so that “when they begin to grow up, sin conceiveth in their hearts, and they taste the bitter, that they may know to prize the good.” (Moses 6:55.) **What about infant baptism? Few false doctrines have ever deserved and received such a vigorous and forceful denunciation as that heaped upon infant baptism by the prophet Mormon. When that inspired author inquired of the Lord concerning the baptism of little children, he was told: “Listen to the words of Christ, your Redeemer, your Lord and your God. Behold, I came into the world not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance; the whole need no physician, but they that are sick; wherefore, little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin; wherefore the curse of Adam is taken from them in me, that it hath no power over them.” Thereupon Mormon, speaking by the power of the Holy Ghost, taught that “it is solemn mockery” to baptize little children; that they “are alive in Christ from the foundation of the world”; that it is awful wickedness to deny the pure mercies of Christ to them; that such a belief sets at naught the power of Christ’s redemption; that those who believe such a false concept are “in the bonds of iniquity” and if cut off while in the thought shall be thrust down to hell; and that those who humble themselves and repent and are baptized shall “be saved with their little children.” (Moro. 8:8-25.) **“This being ‘conceived in sin’ [Moses 6:55], as I understand it, is only that they are in the midst of sin. They come into the world where sin is prevalent, and it will enter into their hearts, but it will lead them ‘to taste the bitter, that they may know to prize the good.’” (George Q. Morris, in Conference Report, Apr. 1958, 38).

@Vox Populi there are many, and they are usually discussed in most divinity graduate schools. But we will start with the first contradiction that Paul called a "stumbling block" to the Jews. In Deuteronomy 21: 22-23 the KJV has "And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance." Many Jews to this day regect Jesus because a prophet revealed that any body who is hanged on a tree is not in favor with God. Yet Paul saw the risen Lord. He had to deal with this dissonance, and how did he do it? He had Torah on one hand and his personal experience with the Lord on the other. He went with his spiritual experience and redifibed Torah to describe Jesus. To be Christian has always been a test of faith against our own dissonance. It was like that for the first two centuries of the Christian faith. The test of faith is do you listen to what man tells you, or do you listen to your personal experiences with God? Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1: "23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence." Now would you like to discuss how Matthew and James disagreed with Paul in his epistles?
@vegadog3053
@vegadog3053 5 лет назад
@borrowed tomb maybe. Sin can be a difficult concept and we want to look at those who claim to be right with God as examples. I wonder why Abraham was allowed to father a child with Hagar and then act like he wasn't going to stick up for her. I wonder why Jacob was blessed when he was a deceiver and supplanter. He lied to his own father to get ahead of his brother. I wonder why we rejoice in reading the psakms of David when he clearly was living in abomination with many women. How could he write by the Spirit when he was an adulterer? How could Solomon dedicate the Holy Temple when he was living with many wives and concubines? How can Peter be a Chief Apostle after deny Christ? Then refusing to sit at the same table with fellow Christians who were uncircumcised gentiles? Why can Paul take money from the Greeks to support the Jerusalem Christians and then say he never took money from anybody? How can apostles leave the care and duty to support their families and wives and still be right with God when Paul(maybe) told the Thesselonians that if you don't work you don't eat? Why does the epistle of Timothy order women to be silent in church? Did we as Chriatians get "continuous revelation" to make that more appealing to our contemporaries? "Judge not", says Yeshua the Messiac, yet here we are, contradicting that. Do we want the same standards we judge other faiths to be held against us at the last day?
@vegadog3053
@vegadog3053 5 лет назад
@Vox Populi you're right. When you can see the whole picture and the end from the beginning. But to the Jews at the time, they couldnt swallow it. There was no New Testament when Paul was preaching. The only scriptures were the law, the prophets, and the writings (Hebrew Bible, Old Testament) so for those who "knew" that those Scriptures came from God, why would God send His Son to contradict Himself? Your faith in the Savior is what removes the contradiction in your eyes. But it is there, all bible scholars know it. But you are reading the scriptures through the eye of faith. That is good. Now tell me how you deal with Noah and the great Flood? Tell me how you deal with the Creation Drama in Genesis? Science will says that only fools believe that. How about the resurrection of our Lord? Have you touched Him? Have you seen Him? Yet you believe? Why does James say "Faith wothout works is dead" but Paul says only through faith are we saved? James was an apostle and Bishop in Jerusalem with the Jews, Paul an apostle to the Greeks. It seems they interpreted the gospel to fit their audience. How do you deal with that?
@vegadog3053
@vegadog3053 5 лет назад
@Vox Populi that's fine. But Galatians 3:13 was how Paul explained the contradiction. It didn't remove it. He acknowledged that it was there. Whether you see it or not doesn't change the fact that it is there.

@Vox Populi no worries. I believe in the ressurected Christ . my point is to not be so harsh on other people trying to find the way through Jesus when ancient Israel and Christians have spent centuries going back and forth trying to figure it out. God's dealings with us are personal, and different for each. Think of Job vs Jacob. Think of Peter and Paul. Why was Abraham commanded to circumcise his family, yet Melchizedek was a High priest that said nothing about circumcision? How is Christ's followers supposed to be led? If we are all equal, then why do we need pastors or full-time preachers? Why do they need a Masters or Doctorates in divinity before we listen to them? Christ's apostles had fisherman and tax collectors. We live a faith full of seeming contradictions. Be kind.

The account of the creation and fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis strongly suggests that Adam and Eve could not have children until after they took the forbidden fruit because when God created them and admonished them to be fruit and multiple and replenish the earth they did not do so even though they were naked. It was not until after they took the forbidden fruit that they became aware that they were naked and made fig leaf aprons to cover their nakedness. Eve did not bear any children until after they had been driven out of the Garden of Eden. To say that little chidren sin, I think is inaccurate. They make mistakes or transgress God's laws for those who are accountable, but little children are not accountable for their actions. Going against commandments of God is normal for little children but they should not be held accountable for these infractions as their parents and other adults should be. Threatening to hit someone is assault. Actually hitting someone or even touching another individual without their permission is considered battery. These are felonies! Yet no judge in their right mind would convict a 4 year old boy for taking a toy and threatening to hit his little sister or even for actually hitting her or even lacerating her arm or face. These are not sins! They are the behavior of innocent children. I do not believe that Christ holds little children responsible for these actions. Rather he expects parents to supervise their children and protect them from each other. Down's Syndrome children and adults likewise I think are regarded by God as innocent and not sinners even when they act aggressively and forcefully. I think this is just common sense. To regard children as sinners I think borders on the pathological. Persons who think this way, I think should reassess the soundness their moral sense and their relationship to Christ who loved little children and said, knowing their weakness and imperfections all adults would, "Of such are the kingdom of God." Remember James said, Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works. The works Paul talks about not being necessary are the works of the law of Moses--all the sacrifices for example-- and the "work" that signified obedience to the Abrahamic covenant of circumcision. But Christ said If you love me, keep my commandments. At the end of the Sermon on the Mount Christ says, Not every one who says Lord, Lord, will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven." Confessing true faith in Christ, if accompanied or demonstrated by obedience to Christ's word and commandments will lead to salvation. Faith is trust in God and Christ. One manifests this trust by trusting God enough to do what he says and obey his commandments that lead to behaviors and outcomes that reflect the goodness God expects us to accomplish in our lives. In Matthew chapter 25 Christ says he will separate his sheep from the goats by whether they fed the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty, took in the stranger, clothed the naked, visited the sick, and the imprisoned, because when we did these things unto the least of these our brethren we did them unto Christ, the advocate of the poor and the afflicted. He didn't say, anything here about giving lip service to knowing or accepting Christ. Christ condemned the Pharisees for claiming they knew Abraham as their father. You havedone a very good job comparing Mormonism to sacred Scripture. However, in your own statement of faith you stated that you believe you are saved by faith ALONE. Aside from the fact that Martin Luther literally added the word "Alone" to the text of Romans 1;17. Changing the text from the origional Greek "The just shall live by faith" to the Lutheran version "The just shall live by faith alone". Quite a significant difference. (I do speak German, and this addition is present in my own Luther translation.) This is in stark opposition to the Teachings of James, and Peter. Which lead me to wonder if anything I believed was actually germain to the origional yeachings of Our Lord himself. I now believe that we should not just compare our beliefs merely to scripture, but actually ascertain that what our beliefs are, are in accordance with the actual beliefs of the Apostles themselves. ALONG with making sure that these things are also origional to the direct teachings of Christ Himself. I no longer affirm my beliefs to "The Bible " but rather I look to the Bible to check what i believe against what it's Spirit led Authors also believed. This methodology clears up a lot of confusion. It also sent me to a place which I didnt really want to go, but i was left with no other choice.

@MrPanchoak

That must be why James said that Faith without works is dead. Jesus said, "If any man desire to follow me, let him deny himself, tak up his cross and follow me." That sure sounds like work to me. I'm not trying to be argumentative here. But just because someone who we trust tells us something doesnt make it so. I was born and raised Seventh Day Adventist. Everybody i knew taught me Adventist doctrine. But it is at least as heretical as Mormonism. Learning of their lies i jumped right into Calvinism Southern Baptist to be exact. But there were so many things i read in scripture which i still couldnt wiggle out of. For instance 1Timothy 2;15. Please explain THAT one away. I never could. But the one thing you simply cannot deny once you study the subject, is the death and resurrection of Jesus. Upon that we stand. And our lives are changed by it. This effects a change of heart which demands that we act upon it. Works again. (But not works of the Jewish law)

I am not LDS (I am a Nazarine-Jew: Jew is my blood, Nazarine is my religious belief). I want to point-out while it is true that the LDS church is not God's church, the fact is the children of Israel were scattered among every nation, tongue, and people. And they were commanded to keep records. There are many books of scripture out there, and there are many books of scripture not yet found. The Americas were not discovered by Europeans in 1492 nor even in the 800s by Eric the Red. The ancient empires and kingdoms already knew about America. The Egyptians came here, as did the Persians, Hebrews, Chaldeans, the Chinese,Greeks, Romans, the list goes on. The true history of "America" is vastly different than what people have been taught. I have no problem excepting the 1830 translation of the Book of Mormon as being of God (Isaiah 29 even talks about it), but I do not acknowledge the LDS church nor its offshoots--they're frauds.

The Book of Mormon tells you that it is a false book. Have you read the BOM? If you read the Bible and then the first page of the Book of Mormon, you would know that the Book of Mormon is false. The Bible states that the first siege of Jerusalem took place under King Jehoiachin in 597/598 BC. II Kings 24:12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign. Then Zedekiah became king. 2 Kings 24:18 Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. According to the Book of Mormon, Lehi's warnings to Jerusalem happened in the first year of Zedekiah's reign, after the first deportation of king Jehoiachin.. This is fake news. Jerusalem was already destroyed. No need to make this prophecy. 1 Nephi 1:4 For it came to pass in the commencement of the first year of the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah, (my father, Lehi, having dwelt at Jerusalem in all his days); and in that same year there came many prophets, prophesying unto the people that they must repent, or the great city Jerusalem must be destroyed. ********** Also, in I Nephi 1:2, the Jews are speaking and writing in the language of Egypt??? The author of the Book of Mormon evidently didn't realize that Jews would not speak or write in the language of Egypt, a nation that enslaved them and that the Jews despised. Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians. - 1 Nephi 1:2 For it were not possible that our father, Lehi, could have remembered all these things, to have taught them to his children, except it were for the help of these plates; for he having been taught in the language of the Egyptians therefore he could read these engravings, and teach them to his children, that thereby they could teach them to their children, and so fulfilling the commandments of God, even down to this present time. - Mosiah 1:4 And now, behold, we have written this record according to our knowledge, in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian, being handed down and altered by us, according to our manner of speech. - Mormon 9:32 It's no wonder that Mormons are laughed at. Such a sad story.

@tapir rider , Though I'm not LDS, I tarry in Utah. Why does the spelling of my name offend you? Do you suppose that all people spell surnames the same way? That said, Ott is not my surname in the first-place. Ott is a name from a story I wrote for my kids. The use of the name Ott has nothing to do with anyone else. Ott is a family name, but not my surname. Again, since when must a name be spelled the way you think it should? As for your comment about scholars. I am a scholar. I mentioned the Yellow Emperor to you yesterday, and had you been honest, you would have looked-up my claims and not dismissed them without researching them. I know that you are jaded as an ex-LDS, but despite that the LDS church is a fraud, I find it so sad that ex-LDS people are almost always much worse humans after they are no longer LDS. As I said, I'm not LDS, but unfortunately, most of family converted to the LDS church. This doesn't take away our Jewish ethnicity. As for Jos. Smith, he didn't found the LDS church. He founded the Church of Christ. The Illinois Corporate Registry shows that Brigham Young started the LDS church, and the 600 page Temple Lot Case (in Missouri) evidences that the entire belief system of the LDS church was Brigham's idea. Brigham simply claimed he got it from Jos. The stuff people attribute to Jos. was actually done and taught by Brigham, not Jos. As for the LDS church (which Brigham, a Rothschild banking agent with Rothschild subsidiary Kuhn Loeb & Co.), it was titled Church of Latter-day Saints. The name Jesus Christ was not in the title. After Brigham orchestrated the murders of Jos. and Hyrum Smith (and many others), he lead 4,500 (out of 40,000) people into his cult and to Utah. In the Congressional Globe (a political publication of the day) the going rate for "Lamanite girls" was recorded as the price was set by Brigham. Brigham's price for "negroes" was also listed there-in. In 1916, the Church of Latter-day Saints was named: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This 1916 event is recorded in the Utah Corporate Registry. Brigham's church didn't even have the name of Christ in it's title. And so, the LDS corpse, err, church from the early 1840s until 1916 didn't even have the name of Christ in it's title. Add to all that is the fact that John Taylor was the trigger man that killed Jos. Smith and Willard Richards was the trigger man that killed Hyrum. John Taylor was rewarded to become the next president of the LDS Corporation. after Brigham. If you look-up the holding company of the LDS church, it is Ensign Peaks Investment Management (EPIM), and EPIM's holding company is some oil & gas company in Texas, and their holding company is some company in Paris, France. And their holding company is really 12 or so private individuals who live in the NE USA and who are all Rothschild family members. And the Rothschild-Rockefellar Corporation is a subsidiary of the so-called vatican. And the Catholic church owns all Corporation on earth---and this was brought about by the Cestui Que Vie Act of 1666.

I appreciate your kindness! My next video is about the LGBT ban that was lifted in the General Conference and many other changes your church is going through under the name of "revelation." Although Mormons believe they follow the same God and Jesus that Christians do, it is simply not the case. We are not sisters in Christ, I'm afraid. That breaks my heart. But we can be if you would only open your eyes and come to know the one and only true God of the Bible. The Jesus of the Bible is the only One who can save your soul. The false Jesus of the LDS church is Lucifer's older brother and not the eternal God. The Heavenly Father of the Bible is not the God of the Bible or of Moroni 8:18 or 2 Nephi 31:21 but is the god of Joseph Smith's King Follett Discourse where Joseph declared that supposing God was God of all eternity was false.. he said he would take away the veil so you can see.. God was once a man just like us who was exalted into godhood.. we too have to learn to become gods ourselves. Blasphemy. That is the false Mormon god, in an infinity of plural gods.. completely contradicting the Bible and blaspheming the one true God. Russell Nelson is not a prophet. He is a business man. I pray that you will read the New Testament of the Bible (not the LDS Bible that gives commentary on the Bible so you will read it with the false message they teach) but the raw, true Word of God that will show you so clearly who Jesus is and what Biblical Salvation is. The LDS "plan of Salvation" is in total contradiction to the Bible as well. No, not every soul is "saved" (meaning resurrected) as a result of the atonement. Salvation is ONLY for those who place their trust in Jesus Christ alone for Salvation and we are saved through FAITH. Ephesians 2:8-9. All others will go to Hell. I will pray right now that you will come to know God and will get truly (Biblically) saved. Mormonism won't save you, my friend. It is a lie.

If you want to get down to brass tacks there is only one place you need to go to show that the Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible. Mormons believe that they will be married in heaven but Jesus said that there would be no marrying or given in marriage in heaven. (Matthew 22 - 22 - 30) 23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: 26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 27 And last of all the woman died also. 28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Romans 7:9 Fall of Adam an eve: 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 This verse alone says Adam fell so that through Christ we may be saved. More could be said on this but that verse is good enough. As well many writings that date from the same time around of the New Testament writings aren’t included in the Bible that include support for these things. “Black skin curse” Taking 2 nephi 5:21 out of context. It isn’t saying people of color are less then. The people that came to the Americas were darker in skin due to the area they originate from. As well, it says a skin of blackness a curse it is not referring to race being less then on another. Rather it is a distinction made then just like made to Cain for the mark of Cain for his punishment. Genesis 4:10-end of chapter. It talks about the same circumstance, evil and wicked so God marked them lest no person should be with them. If that’s racist in the BOM it’s racist in the Bible. Saved by grace after all we can do: First off let’s use some common sense and thinking. If we did nothing and lived how we wanted would we be saved? No, we must give our lives to Christ (that is a work) as well have faith in Christ (work) and follow his commandments (lifetime work). Us doing these things doesn’t save us, it is Christ dying on the cross that saves us. But if we don’t live for God and follow his commandments which is a work why are we saved? If I sin everyday and don’t accept Jesus as my savior I’m not saved, but if I follow Christ and his teachings which is a work and give my life to him which is another work I am saved by the grace of Christ when he died on the cross. We cannot earn salvation whatsoever but we don’t just get it from being evil and doing whatever we want or everyone would be in heaven. we must follow Christ which again is a work so that we can be saved. Plan and precious parts of the Bible: First of the Bible saying that nothing will be removed from the Bible doesn’t support that. Each book of the Bible is not apart of the other. The books of the New Testament are all different letters that were sent to other churches. The apostles didn’t sit down and write the Bible. Aswell there are Bible verses quoting prophecy’s that aren’t in the Bible. The book of jasher is mentioned but we don’t have a book of jasher. The Bible is a combination of ancient letters that MEN, and COUNCILS decided were scripture. As well the original “Christian church” the Catholic Church has different and more books than the rest of Protestant Christianity which I’m assuming you’re apart of. As-well we do not have the original writings of any of the apostles, we only have copy of copies and so forth. As-well the oldest papyrus writings are the size of a business card with a few verses, further on the writings we biblically have are 50-100 years or more after Christ. Aswell SO many writings “apocrypha” writings aren’t canon scripture because councils deemed them non scriptural, when even Paul’s writings, are just as believable as scripture. I believe the Bible is the word of God BUT people have free will and can pervert and take away from it if they wanted to, as well passing down scriptures can lead to changes. There are books that aren’t in the Bible anymore, that is proof enough of precious parts being taken out. As-well the apostles died off and only one passed one the apostle ship to lineaus and lineaus had his authority taken away from him. 3hr and 3 day difference: A Prophet said it would be 3 days that is on a completely different continent. A Man even if a prophet can make a mistake interpreting what God is telling him. Every prophet in the Old Testament you will see isn’t perfect and mistakes itself for example Jonah. A misunderstanding is totally reasonable again, God is talking through men which are sinful and evil and have free will. Even the prophets can mess up. Aswell other Christian scholars argue for there being 3 days of darkness rather then 3 hours. Aswell you must realize that if you look at it this way the Bible contradicts it self, when Jesus being tempted by satan what was the first temptation? Matthew and Luke say differently. And there’s others. “Authenticity of the priesthood”: God can make anyone a priest. Lehi was chosen to be a priest, just as Moses saw the burning bush and was chosen to be a priest, lehi saw the burning rock and talked with God and became a priest holding the priesthood which can be passed down. I could go way more into depth on this if needed. Temple New Testament Ancient Israel when Jesus walked the earth had multiple temples in different areas, and the Bible talks about them. So if you’re pointing that out in the BOM you should too in the Bible. There are more then one temple in the Bible at the same time so don’t be bias and be blinded to that. Not having the same things mentioned in the Bible in the Book of Mormon doesn’t make it a contradiction. They are on a different continent going through different trials, while some of those things are Old Testament. Just because something is missing isn’t a contradiction 😭😂
