I'm so glad you care to seek out truth and find answers! You will quickly find that the LDS church does not serve the God of the Bible or even teach the Bible. They have made their own gospel and their own way to God (the temple) and like this video shows, their own God. Only the God of the Bible saves. Only faith in the true Jesus Christ saves. Please read Galatians chapter 1, verse 6 on. It talks about belief systems like the LDS church who distort and change the Gospel and warns people to stay away from beliefs that contradict the Bible.

Yes, there are more videos to come! Thanks again for the encouragement. It was much more successful for us to witness through learning their beliefs and really challenging them. If you simply say they are wrong and don't address the serious issues within the Mormon doctrine and history, you just won't get through. there is no explanation of the trinity. it is a hard concept. it just has to be accepted. it comes from accepting all the scriptures. for example mark 12. Get a concordance and "study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that" will spend a little time in ACTUAL STUDY to find out what the Hebrew word most often translated "god" means.

In 2001, the delegates of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints voted to change the common name of their church to “Community of Christ.” Besides being shorter and easier to say, the new name changes the focus from their past to their present and future. The group was formed in 1860 when many Mormons refused to follow Brigham Young’s vision of moving west, among other differences. She is sharing what she, and I, perceive to he truth. My husband and I spend hours on this subject weekly, as he is TBM. There is no ill intention. The christian history has alot of problems, sure. But also consider there was murder by chapter 4 in genesis. People are sinful and that doesn't exclude biblical characters, your church presidents, popes, or ministers of other Faith's. The actual argument is about extra biblical teachings brought through the LDS faith. The Bible teaches we are to reject a different gospel. Please read Galations, it's short, but clear offering examples. I'd love to see a response back some time. But her message is out of love for followers of Jesus Christ.

We have gone over the tests for true prophets from Deuteronomy SO MANY times with our Mormom friends as well as the elders who came to our home for months. They all just ignore it. The LDS community upholds the highest order of morality. Christ Himself organized it through His power of the priesthood and no one can take that away.

I can only imagine how difficult it is for a mind raised and conditioned to believe one thing... to find out it's false... and then to continue a search for truth. I see this so often among exLDS. I would love to encourage you to read the New Testament of the Bible. You will see so quickly where Mormonism contradicts the Bible in endless ways. You will see through the Gospel of John, for example, exactly who Jesus is and what true Biblical Salvation is. It is not even close to what the LDS church says Salvation is. When you come to know God by reading His written Word, you are able to start discerning truth, seeing Who God is, and then understanding what it means to be a Christian. The Bible says, "If you seek Me, you will find Me if you search with all your heart." By earnestly seeking God, He will reveal Hinself to you. And as you read His Word, you will absolutely begin to feel the power of it's words and the Holy Spirit will absolutely begin to convict and encourage your heart in your quest. Remember that the LDS bases so much off feelings! You have to have a "burning in your bosom" and they claim that's the Holy Ghost. But the Bible says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked." Feelings are not to be trusted. God gave us all a sound mind to discern truth and to learn and obtain knowledge and understanding. We should never trust something illogical based upon a feeling. Romans 1:4 who was appointed the Son-of-God-in-power according to the Holy Spirit by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 4:25 He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification. 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made the one who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God. 1 Peter 3:18 Because Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, to bring you to God, by being put to death in the flesh but by being made alive in the spirit. John 1:12 But to all who have received him--those who believe in his name--he has given the right to become God's children John 3:16-18 For this is the way God loved the world: he gave his one and only Son that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. The one who believes in Him is not condemned. God loves us all, the scriptures are full of great examples of that being true. We worship him with different levels of understanding, I'm grateful that despite this, his Love and Grace will save us regardless of our differences. Would God condem a simple testimony of a poor farmer over the testimony of one of his 12 disciples? Certainly not, but then again, Like Proverbs 3:5-6, councils “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Even though we chose different paths. I say "most famous sermon" BECAUSE it is the original source that the LDS church draws it's doctrine of who god is from. That was the point where Joseph "took away the veil so everyone would know the truth about who god *really* is".... make sense? Huff Humble she is correct. When it comes to the history of Joseph Smith it is his most famous speech to over 20,000 people. Just because the church does not care to mention it does not make it any less famous. Any church LDS member who states what you just stated is a very, very ill informed member. Lastly, there are plenty of the things the church doesn't mention out of embarrassment. Joseph Smith famously translated the plates with a brown stone found at the bottom of a well. The leadership buried that fact deep for well over 100 years.

That's why I referenced multiple scriptures that point to the same conclusion. There are more Biblical scriptures that support the doctrine of deification. The Ante-Nicene Church Fathers Irraneus, Clement, Origen, Tertullian, and Hippolytus all taught deification. Deification only became heresy after the Nicene Creed defined God as incomprehensible and amorphous. ​@@fayelewis5476 Stephen says he sees the glory of God AND Jesus standing on the right hand of God. Sounds like Stephen saw both the glory of God and God Himself and Jesus. Another example is when Jesus is baptized and God the Father speaks from heaven. Jesus tells us Himself that God the Father is a man. Jesus repeatedly refers to Himself as the "Son of Man." He also tells us, "It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me." John 7 It's not scary to consider that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ are two men who are one in purpose. Again, Jesus tells us this when He prays and is talking to the Father asking that the apostles and disciples, "may be one as we are." John 17 Finally, in Genesis we read that Adam and Eve were created in the likeness and image of God. It is easy to deduce that the image and likeness of God is that of a man.

Adam did not resemble God in the sense of God’s having flesh and blood. Scripture says that “God is spirit” (John 4:24) and therefore exists without a body. Adam’s body did mirror the life of God insofar as it was created in perfect health and was not subject to death. The image of God refers to the immaterial part of humanity. It sets human beings apart from the animal world, fits them for the dominion God intended them to have over the earth (Genesis 1:28), and enables them to commune with their Maker. It is a likeness mentally, morally, and socially. ****

Why should I worship your Heavenly Father with a body of flesh and bone? Who created him? Why did he have to work his way to godhood? Who created the planet he came from? Who created the star Kolob that he lives near? Who created all these women that are his wives? Why did he have sex with his own spirit daughter Mary? God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321; Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345; Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333). “The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s . . . ” (D&C 130:22). God is in the form of a man, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 3). “God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . God resides near a star called Kolob, (Pearl of Great Price, p. 34-35; Mormon Doctrine, p. 428). God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, 1857, p. 218; vol. 8, p. 115).

@Dan A warm and Fuzzy feeling is just that. I have had lots of those feeling I wouldn't call it a rebirth or Born Again There is a feeling that is not of this world It is. a Majestic Heavenly Spirit that engulfs you and confirms Jesus is the Christ that is the Born Again Experience

Dan. Yes! Blind faith has lots of advantages. It allows one to believe what ever magical story comes along---as long as Jesus' name is attached to it. If J. R. R. Tolkien had just inserted in his great novel, that JESUS was Lord of the Rings, Tolkien would have made BILLIONS!!
