Willson Contreras, wiping away tears after Adam Wainwright's 200th career win: "I'm proud of him because I know he's doing his best, and that shows me how much he loves this team and how much he loves this city."
I sure hope 200 wins will get Adam Wainwright in the MLB Hall of Fame. In my 40 years of watching Cardinals Baseball I have never seen a player with a bigger heart then he does. Adam you are one of the Cardinals all time greats. You will be missed.
@@robertcrist5747 I know 300 wins for 90% of pictures is a milestone. However, Bob Gibson 250 wins 255 complete game will never be broken. The year of the pictures in 1968. Gibson lost 9 games because he counterpart was, Marshall, Koufax, and Jenkins. The Cardinals couldn't score runs again those pictures. One reason why Gibson didn't win 300 games. Also, the bad offensive teams in the 70s. Wainwright should had 300 wins.
Life long cardinals fan, really a shame how the cards threw Contreras under the bus for the shit pitching staff they put together this year. He's done exactly what he was signed to do,improve the offense from the catcher position. Everyone knew his defense was suspect and he wasn't yadi. Kudos to him for not letting it ruin his year. Front office must do better this offseason
Okay, so what does this guy need to do to be our everyday catcher next year? It's crazy the only FA signing was a part-time player for us. Cardinals management (both front office and dugout) is so terrible right now. We need to ask the Marlins permission in the offseason to interview Skip.
After everything this clown show did to Contreras when he got here he's still got the grace to be emotional over this hollow win. Good for you Wilson! You're the "Class Act!" 😉👍
@@kennysfdg471 this spam bot won't do it just because he used to play for the cubs. funny that he ignores his big desire to become a cardinal, and now here he is
