Hello! From Oregon here! First year homeschooling. I do have questions for you! Do you know if we need to name our homeschool in the state of Oregon? I am not sure! And Do you know if a need to register my two little ones, 3 and 5? I called and they said yes to my 5 years old, but I read on the website that until they are 6. So I’m confused. Thank you!

We do not have to name our homeschool and you do not need to register until your child is 6 years old before September 1. oceanetwork.org/summary-homeschool-law/ This link goes to the Oregon Christian Home Educators Association website. I am specifically linking to the page that lists the requirements for Oregon. They even provide a form that you can fill out and send to your county ESD (Education Service District) which is who you register with. Most counties want you to use their form which asks a lot more questions than you legally have to provide, so OCEA recommends you use their form.
