Yeah I have seen this too...I had two different ones...Some copies do not have all the features, and it depends if the program came with a burner or if you bought it separately.
i have a few questions, i loved your tutorial but let me ask u do i have to separated the chapters or auto detect in order for nero to make the cd play like an original cd. (meaning i can skip to certain parts with the fast forward button) also when i did it at the end of it i still got the message saying that it won't work cause my disk isn't big enough, what can i do to correct this problem? i usually use dvdfab and i never have this problem please help.
why is it that on my nero 7 essentials the only option in the burn to part is burn to image recorder? how can i see the other option wherein i could burn using my dvd driver?
@RiteshShahid The thing with nero is that once you have installed it...a record of it is in the registry...and even when you uninstall the program it is there...this will corupt any future versions and all registry keys to do with nero should be removed...I even think there is a small program to just remove nero...if you google "how to remove nero completely" you might find something.
Ive got a problem, ive been burning movies for d past 2 yrs now there was no problem, until 2 weeks ago i have an error message that says, unable to burn compilation to disc or disc is not empty or not enough, in fact the movie AVI file is only 702 MB & my DVD+R blank is 4.7 gig of space how is it that possible? im getting that error over 8 times now every time il finished to transcode ,could you be of any Help,?? i already re installed nero but its still the d same.. i cant find any sulotions
Hi Computerbasics, I have done a project using Nero7. But I want to be able to upload to youtube. I am stuck with this project and do not know how to convert it from NVC to I don't know what program. I tried your procedure, but when I pressed "Add Video file" it can't see my project which means I can't choose that project I want converted. I hope that made sense, I'm desperate for HHEELLPP please...I worked so hard with this project..
It depends on how fast your computer is, how much memory you have, and how long the movie is? Burning the dvd also depends on the speed of your burner and your computer.
I can do that fine, I don't have any sound. I can hear the sound if I play the torrent on my pc but when I convert I have no sound. Any ideas please. I have downloaded codec but still no sound???
a dvdrw is a dvd disc that you can write on again...(re-write) You can erase data from these discs to make them clean again. You should be able to use these but they might not play in all different players.
but if the capacity is more than disk's space,,,it doesnt say its gonna fit the content to the capacity of the image...why is that..? and how to put subtitles..?
Maybe the settings have changed. Are you sure you have chosen dvd 4.7gb and not cd 700mb? If you need more help go to my forum and ask the question there.
My problem are that i can not move the avi file to the dvd folder, i did it all the time before but after formating my pc i dident know what the problem was :/ Hope some 1 will help me!
You must use a dvd-r or a dvd+r. Which ever suits your dvd burner and your home dvd player. A cd-r is a disc that only holds about 700mb. If your movie is less than that as an avi format then it can go on a cd. But if you are making it to dvd it must go on a dvd disc.
Hi! Pls help me..I'm not very good in computer activites. I want to watch my download movies in my DVD player..but, I want to know what DVD disc (DVD-R,DVD+R,DVD+-R) is very good in burning a movie? How can I convert 4,5,6 or even 12 download movies in one DVD disc? What DVD disc would u suggest for me to use for more than 5 movies? I'm here in Bahrain, may I asked what is the video/audio settings here is it PAL,NTSC? Thanks a lot and More Power! God Bless! =)
Yeah its true because I had just installed it and had a 30 day trial of the extra programs.. You do have to buy it if you want to use it after 30 days. There are other free programs out there that convert avi to dvd but they are not as easy or good!
@otherperla It is better to keep your video as an AVI file to upload to youtube. If you have converted it to DVD movie using Nero seven and it is not compatible to upload to youtube.
Hey Computerbasics I know ur probably fed up answering questions BUT I'm frustrated...WHY the f*%k does'nt my Nero 7 Essentials have that "Make Your Own DVD-Video" option??? all I'm seeing is those shitty "Make Video CD" & Make Super Video CD" options...help me out what the hell is wrong here!!???
PLEASE Help... I Burn Movies... And Sometimes They Dont Have Any Sound. I Have The Same Program And Version As You.... And Some Times I Get Sound And No Video Can You Please Help ?
It is easy to download dvd movies but you run the a very big risk of infecting your computer. In the end it is not worth it. And the sites that have then are constanly changing and moving as they are trying to avoid being caught.
You can try using Any video converter...its free...go to my website and search for it there....You will find how to use it too...Link to website is in description on the right.
@mastersuli don't scare people off torrents dude, i got nero 7 from the pirate bay and it a full proper working version. Just read comments before downloading and if it doesn't look right, don't download it.
Yeah it sucks...lol but I actually did'nt buy anything though I got it from a friend & I think he downloaded it on a torrent site,he probably downloaded a shorter version or something so whatever. BUT on the upside I found a software named "DVD Flick" that is pretty kick ass it is elaborate YET extremely easy to use it converts almost any format known to man...you can check it out if you want. Thanks for responding though...ttyl.
If this doesn't work for you in your version of nero then I have other videos using free programs. Just go to my channel and check it out...One is called Any Video Converter.
@Wand2Fishes not only that, it can convert. I have avi's from Europe that are PAL formatted apparently. When I say "Burn" (Nero 9 at least), sometimes opens a warning box opens saying "This file contains more PAL formatting than NTSC, convert and burn in NTSC anyway?" or something like that. My default setting is burn to NTSC (regional reasons). And my DVDs work on my parents' cheapo DVD player. PS - Nero 9 is not much diff from this tutorial's version 7 demo.
