should be lower wattage ? as those are between 400-700 watts per pane on 7M width and 4m depth , and heats the enviroment and you . where usual heaters need time to heat up , and then transfer the heat to the casing . and are about 750+1250 watts ( 2 settings ) ?

I believe they are saying that vents near the floor pushing air are taking usable space because you can not place furniture in front of them. No such restriction with a panel placed high on the wall.

Hi Jim! Our ceramic heaters only go up to 1500 Watts. If you are not feeling the heat, you may need to purchase more heaters. However, we do have heaters that are 120v-277v, just depends on the application of the heater! Your wiring will be fine as well! Some of our panels can be flush mounted to the ceiling, while other panels need 2 inches of space between the panel and the ceiling or wall. In the event of a power outage, our heaters can be hooked up to an electric generator or solar battery bank/ various other electrical back up systems. With a traditional forced air system with a gas furnace, you still need electricity to run the fan motors, circuit boards, relays, and thermostat. So if the power goes out, your gas furnace will be inoperable. Plus infrared radiant panels paired with one of our smart thermostats you have the ability isolate your heat to a particular room. So, you can save your power consumption using solar banks or a generator rather only being able to heat your entire house with a forced air system. Thanks for your question!

@@red00eye A finish will mitigate expanding and contracting due to moisture absorption and loss, but can't protect from the expanding and contraction due to temperature change. I build and repair guitars. Many of the repairs I do are cracks due to expanding and contracting due to either heat or moisture. Plus, most furniture isn't finished over 100% of it's surface, allowing moisture to migrate throughout the wood. How many dressers have you seen that are finished on the inside?

@@richardprice5978 Depend.on where you live. Where I live the RH is usually between 5% and 20%, with temps between -10° on the coldest winter days and the low 90s in the heat of summer. The low humidity is a really big deal here. In most places, it's much more humid and not a big deal. I'd also be concerned with how UV resistant the finish on a dash is. The plastics on most dashes gas off in the sun and cause a film to build up on the inside of the windshield, not to mention breathing it. I always use a shade in the summer.

more are using it , but gets now more renown , due to the energy/gas prices ......... also infrared floor heating gets in the picture , and then to imagine we made around 2005 these floorroll heating for a customer as pilot !

The math is simple, the average cost to install and purchase a gas furnace is around $6000. Typical life cycle of a furnace is 15 years with required maintenance and cleaning. The average life cycle cost of a traditional system for a 15 year period, not including maintenance is around $29,400 obviously varies on your local temperature variation. So if we sum it up your average cost for 30 years with a traditional system is at minimum $66,000. Infrared radiant panels are basically maintenance free, not only that they are 20-50% more efficient than traditional systems depending on your heat requirements, and don't circulate dust and germs throughout your house or building. In reality making the switch to infrared radiant heat can also increase your home value significantly because of their durability and safety. Why stick to that old, nasty forced air system, when the solution you need is with heating green?

You got it wrong. The small vent is taking up usable space in that you can not put any furnature in front of it to block the heat or air flow. But up high, you do not put furniture or anything else. Whether it is un-sitley or not is a different issue.

I disagree as it is a fact. Any heater or vent on the wall or floor takes up some useable space, esp. wall heaters, whereas our heaters, similar to lights, take up no usable space.

Wrong 🤦🏾‍♂️ infrared heaters don't blow hot or cold air. They use safe infrared beams, it's far more beneficial healthier than normal radiators 👍🏾 Go brush up on your energy knowledge and you will find infrared doesn't cause dampness. It's in fact the opposite 👌🏾

I sense the point you are making but from my extensive studies a year ago a system fitted throughout the house would produce convection and will warm the air. One problem is shading for example sitting at a desk with ceiling rads would keep legs cold..like shading under a tree from a hot sun

This technology warms the walls and other solid surfaces which reduces cold spots and, therefore, condensation. IR actually helps with airborne moisture. Just sayin'.

That is correct. IR heat does not affect the humidity levels in your home.
