Girl, Your garden is goals! I don’t live in the same grow zone but I have got to try to implement your ways for next year my garden is nowhere near as lush and full as yours! Thank you for sharing all your gorgeous blooms and setup, I love seeing you interplanting veggies! Brag away, you have put the work in and are seeing the results!

Things are looking really good this year, Kristen. I’m happy for you. Weather has been strange everywhere. We are currently experiencing 80-90F temps here in New England. We had a cold spring and a lot of rainfall and cloudy days. It was very gloomy. Didn’t see a lot of sunshine. Now we are so hot we look forward to overcast or rainy days. It’s brutal. 💕

go ahead and brag!!! I'm down in zone 8 NC. I did cool flowers for the first time this past year. OMG. My feverfew was over 4 feet tall. My snaps were monsters! Those I put in the ground last fall and they overwintered. The ones i put in the ground in the spring were much much much smaller.

I discovered the same thing about sweet peas. After transplanting, they barely seem to be hanging on, then when the weather starts to warm up, the stems thicken and get covered in blooms!

Here in Ireland I sow most this in the fall and overwinter them. Including snaps, corncockle and cornflowers. The sweet peas I plant in December

@@RainbowCurveCostuming interesting! Does the ground freeze over the winter there?

I have the pink sapponaria seeds but failed to sow them, it seems spring got away from me this year. High Scent sweet pea has been one of my favorites for over 10 years as it is so much more fragrant than most sweet peas, I love it and yours looks so healthy. My Sweet Peas just did not do well this year for some reason. I am amazed at how innovative you have gotten with your short growing season. Though I am a zone 8b, I have about the same length growing season as you do since I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We get snow through May and it is quite wet, heavy snow, nicknamed Sierra Cement. I enjoyed a look at your garden this morning, thank you.🥀
@ShiftingRoots

@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse you can still plant those saponaria for a late fall crop-even with our short season.

I’m not sure your location but I heard there’s been a ton of slugs in Saskatchewan this year due to so much rain . My snaps hated being transplanted. They pouted for about 6 weeks . I had them in trays; next year single cells . We gotta keep trying!
