COOLANT IN OIL OR OIL IN COOLANT CHEVROLET CRUZE CHEVY SONIC
In this video we will will explain why you may have coolant antifreeze in your engine oil or engine oil in the coolant on Chevrolet Cruze or Chevrolet Sonic with 1.8 engine. Some people will assume head gasket but often there is a simple fix for coolant in your oil. We demonstrated on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze but Chevrolet Sonic coolant in oil.

Cool vid thanks for the heads up! I am getting a slight build up of what looks like could be oil in my coolant reservoir tank, as well as my Thermostat housing seems to be giving way(a common problem on these GM motors unfortunately) Will replace the thermostat housing and inlet hose as well as do a maintenance service with a radiator flush and see if it helps...otherwise its going to be the oil cooler next that ill be replacing if you cant just replace the seals on them...

Hi i have a 2012 chevy sonic 1.8 i noticed the coolent is dissapiring from the container i suspect its mixing in with the oil but there is no smoke would this be the same part that i will have to replace?

Hi, thank you 4 ur video. Question. In mu case, I have a clean oil in the oil pan and deepstick and oil cap feeler but the coolant reservoir has about 60% of engine oil in it. What I understood in ur video, basically could be the oil cooler gasket but not necessary the front engine one? (this question in order to don't mess with the timing). Thank you for the video again, it gave me more ideas.

Hey I have a 2011 chevy cruze lt 1.4L turbo & recently it overheated. I replaced the valve cover & did an engine flush but their is still white smoke coming out of my dipstick & coolant still mixed with my oil. My question is, after an engine flush could my oil pump cooler be the cause of white smoke coming out of the dipstick or the oil pan?

Either turbo oil cooler gasket,hoses, head gasket. Needs replacement. But change most gasket every 40 to 50,000 miles. Dorman parts

I have a 1.4 turbo 2011 chevy cruize , oil cap is milky, not loosing coolant, and its not putting white smoke out of the exhaust, I thought the head gasket was gone , but now I'm not sure, any suggestions??

Check ur dip stick. If its clean, then its most likely due to short trips that you make with the car. Dont need to worry about it.

2013 cruze 1.4l coolant in oil after head job done new waterpump and all gaskets. pressure test coolant system , holds fine . Would oil cooler show a leak down if it was the problem. ??? anyone

Gasket kit from dorman. Oil cooler for turbo is what he showed. Main reason for smoke coolant in oil. Replace oil turbo line

the problem is the packing gasket that separates oil and coolant passages. Also oil cooler is next to the exhaust this adds even more problems. Yes, shity engineering if you ask me.

FQ I change the Oil cooler and it works, but I had to clean the Radiators very well after fixing the part because there was a lot of oil in it , I cleaned it 4 time , at first I thought it’s not working but it works

i seen a video where a guy.. pulled his oil pan.. and it looked like he made a jello mold of the oil pan. sludge was so thick it looked like it was silicone
