A couple guys where I used to work responded to an assault in progress call involving weapons one night. For the first 'thing', i remember cops coming at me after coming home from a weekly LARP (scabbard+handle looked decent in low light). They pulled up on me, i dropped shit cause im not that stupid, 5 mins later the cop car was on the side of the road with highbeams on to illuminate 2 of the cops fighting against eachother with my larp swords at 1AM on a random road(and the winner against me). Sorry Donut, I have to share a story from about ten years ago. I am a firefighter and we caught a call to an elderly woman stabbed with a samurai sword. It was initially given as person down in the front yard, nothing about any wounds, etc. Sadly, she was no longer breathing and had no pulse. We were not able to revive her. The next shift, overtime on the ambulance for me, we caught a call for a headache at the same residence. I was in front of one of the deputies as the door opens to the grandson of the elderly woman, come to find out he had stabbed her with the sword the day before, and he has the same sword in his hand. As he raises it preparing to turn me into a bald headed shishkebab, I stepped to the side of the porch on the split foyer house. The deputy already had his taser out and popped him with it. This 300 lb teenage went right down the steps backwards sounding like a flock of canadian geese headed north in spring. He hit with a thud, assuring us he meant us no harm and wasnt going to use the sword on us. It was BS all the way around. He raised the sword in my direction. I was pleased to pull the barbs out on him to say the least. Stay safe out there folks. It is a crazy and stupid world.
