Copa América bingo: * Chilean national team gets piss drunk in the hotel with hookers ❌ * Referees controversy ✅ * Brawls after a match ✅ * Failures in organization ✅ * Police being police ✅ * Coaches making spicy statements ✅ * Chaos ✅ * Something weird that nobody expected ✅ Yeah, just a normal Copa América.

2:30 who gives a fuck about the price of the tickets. watching a football game in person isn't a damn human right and it being an important or historic game doesn't justify people breaking into a stadium en masse and endangering others in the process. the fact that that makes what happened basically "inevitable" shows how insane football fandom is and it shouldn't be okay. football is the only sport where this behavior from fans is still accepted and just looked at like "oh well, these silly football fans are just so passionate about dudes running after a ball that they can't keep their emotions in check. guess there's nothing we can do about it."

It was lucky that this only happened at this scale at the finals venue. At the Columbia vs Brazil game in Santa Clara it was clear that the event organizers chose to go as bare bones as possible. At Levi's stadium where normally there are 15-20 metal detectors at every gate and it takes no more than a few minutes to get into the stadium. At the Copa America game they had only 4 metal detectors open at Gate F which were quickly overrun and the security staff onsite hired by the event resorted to individually wanding people slowing the process even further. This backed up the line to get in further than I ever experienced all of this while people are shoulder to shoulder in 100+ degree heat. I had multiple people in the area I could see around me faint or become sick due to heat exhaustion. People were upset at the length of time to get in and I am sure people without tickets also got in as all the stairwells were filled with standing people. It is unbelievable to me that this was allowed to happen at any stadium, especially ones that routinely host 70,000+ people almost every Sunday in the fall. The lack of preparation or care for the attendees of this tournament was clear as day and regardless of who is in charge or to blame there is a lot of lessons to be learned leading up to 2026.

Just Alejandro Dominguez trying to save money. Even a Colchagua-Municipal Puente Alto in Chilean 3rd A Division has better security. Since Dominguez became president, a lot of weird things happened, but all of them led by his greed. Libertadores Final at the Bernabeu. Copa "Libertadores" being played in the conqueror country. 3 Copas América in 5 years (2019, 2021, 2024) A world cup "sold" for 3 matches in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay (Dominguez country). He granted a ridiculous amount of Libertadores and Sudamericana spots to Brazil and Argentina, 7 to Lib and 6 Sud each country, basically ruining the tournaments. Everyone else has 4 spots with only 2 of those being to group stages, the others are play-off spots, and you can face brazilian or argentinians there. In 2019, he moved the Libertadores final from Santiago, Chile to Lima, Perú days before the match. He said they were able to do in 11 days what couldn't be done in 11 months; the Chilean government said that they weren't willing to finance a 40 million party for Conmebol higherups and sponsors. I'm probably forgetting some more weird things. And now we add the worst Copa América (at least at an organizational level) to the list of achievements of this person.

To me that proved, once again, that USA is not ready for non-US games... if it isnt an american football, basketball or beiseball avg fan, well, they are just not ready... and btw 65 thousand seats and a field smaller than the official ones for real football it is not thaaaat huge, USA is just not ready, I went to way more crazy and overcrowded games here in Brazil, and still there is always a way to deal with it, manage it, organize it all... sorry but, yeah, you guys are not ready for a game that is a worldwide game.

I was there, security gave up towards the end and just opened the gates where I was at and let everyone in, didnt even have to show my tickets.

i mean... the fact you paid that ticket is concerning, this just gives them reason to put the prices even higher... they're stealing from you legally

@@Malam_NightYoru its a cup final in my city, who knows when that will happen again? Messi’s possible last final too, I couldnt miss this opportunity, otherwise I wouldnt have paid that much for tickets.

Price gouging and can't have proper security and entry. Greed and capitalism at its finest.

You would've hoped that after what happened at Wembley in 2021 lessons could've been learned.
