In the case of the 4.2 Quattro Audi all you have to do is just release the tab to drop down the rear seat and crawl in and pull the latch of the emergency trunk release 👍🏻
I have a 2004 civic owned it for 16 years!! Almost 300,000 miles! It has never left me on the side of the road! I also have a 2019 accord touring 2.0. And a few other cars. Thanks for the great content Randy!!
Man you gotta get that 7 series it's absolutely gorgeous! I bet they have the key in the office. Look at that stitching in the leather though, get it cleaned up and bolt the new parts, I bet that thing will run like a brand new car!
id say someone stole the key so they can get it cheap, if they kept the key in the office the zip tie wouldnt be there, it really annoys me when people do that.
I bought a 2006 a8L flood car and it wasn't nearly as bad as that one. Needed seat module and a few others. Ended up replacing entire motor abs module 1 shock, tensioners, and a few other things. No jump point on the a8 of that year we go in the truck thru the hole/ access port in the rear seat cup holder then use a broom to hit the emergency unlock switch. Also if you put 12v to the dashboard fuse in the door it will get the key out the ignition. No paperclip some don't work properly. Hope this information helps the next guy.
that frontier is such an easy fix, takes time but it can be straightened out. Changing the frame is much more complicated unless it comes out in nice sections.
Me and my friend are doing coopart car things for 4 years. Bid, win, fix, sell is my car world for past years haha Flood cars in UK are cat B listed. Cat B here is for breakers, for parts only. And you need special licence to bid on flood cars. Audi has, boost pack points. They are located under bonnet. If airbags are deployed then you need to get to the battery location. There is a big fuse, in the + battery terminal. Two 13mm nuts and it is square shape. Take it apart, join a fuse and car will start without any further damage. BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes etc has same style system and so on
Ditto. Plus the Honda 3.5 is fairly bullet proof. I always laughed at these too but they are very capable and the owners have about em. Randy this would be a great flip Oh and it's not a giant Accord. Its built on the Odyssey minivan platform. The newest ones are built on the Pilot platform and are a bit beefier
@@aaronturner1072 yeah, my only concern would be the timing belt (this is an interference engine) since there is no sticker under the hood. But the truck itself looks to be well cared for, so perhaps the future buyer shouldn't be worried for that.
At 4:10 it looks like the GPS in the BMW is functioning because it automatically recalibrated the clock according to time zone the car is located in. Super neat
Randy, see info below: they have jumper points on all these cars under the hood. should be a negative terminal on the fender wall near a strut and one hidden under the portion of plastic under the windshield. Alternativly you can go in threw your back seat to access the trunk as well and jsut pop the emergency latch.
get a jumper box or jumper cables and connect Positive to a smaller phillips screwdriver and negative on other scredriver and touch your cigarette lighter output. It worked for me. Ignition came on and key came out. Just don't short it.
Hey Randy, I bought a Ridgeline brand new in 06 and put 160k miles on without a single problem. I would definitely recommend one if the price is right..
the 1rt bimmer looks like just needs a new rear bumper but i would take a closer look under those heat shields in the rear they looked way to clean, i bet they're maybe some damage hiding there
Buick Riviera is an awesome find in my eyes, You mentioned you can not find any parts for it ..... This makes this vehicle a gold mine when parting out. Im sure given the time frame its been sitting and not selling , it will go for very cheap !
Well yeah if you own a car , when the key is in position one before the car cranks over that light is always on then once your car starts and does a check it will go out if all is ok...
Again that is normal function of the obd2 system. It illuminates the light in key position one then when you turn the key it checks all monitors which monitor each system and if any fault is detected it will stay illuminated but it goes out like any other car.
@The_First_Resort No, you don't get it; Car manufacturers all have different check engine lights; Some say "check engine", some say "service engine soon", some have a picture of an engine and some have a picture of an engine with the word "check" over or under it; What I'm trying to get across is that that particular car has a "service engine soon" light...
On the Audi convertible this is a common fault. These issues are usually caused by internal failure of the Multitronic (CVT) gearbox ECU that is bolted directly onto the gearbox itself. Not a difficult job and the ECUs can be rebuilt but are available.
Go with the ridgeline. I have a 07 civic with the r18 and owned it for two years. The only thing that really NEEDED replaced was my rear calipers and parking brake cables besides regular maintenance.
Nice ridgeline, my brother in law has always wanted one, but could not afford to. I hope one day I can afford to find one at copart just like that one and buy it for him.
Yeah Must have some stuff wrong, which on a 2 min walk around you ain't going to see. The insurance companies are not stupid (usually) and for them to total it,I expect they had an engineer's report done.
Randy, I would love to have that Nissan pickup, can't afford it right now... buy it for me 😆 please?? I would straighten the frame, throw a homemade flatbed, & bumper on back.
The Infiniti just needs a cleaning under the hood, and in the interior, maybe a headlight and I think that the gauges is just a fuse. Could also use some tires lol.
Hey randy on the far left of that audi uder the right passenger side their is a jump point you pull up on the cowl panel and it pops out their should be one on the fuse box area .
Andy I have had Made a comment before about the Audi and how to open the trunk but I think you had never gotten in to it ,to open the trunk fold the rear seats down then you’ll see the release handle if you be able to slide your self in cargo area use light
I miss my 05 Nissan Frontier. It had the 4 banger but it always had power when I wanted to. I had a custom exhaust on it and tuned the engine to add a little power. It was one of the only base model trucks my Nissan dealership that was custom.
kenny koester my 2013 accord sport is about to be paid off in August. I bought brand new 8/13. as a left over. I’m at 160k. No breakdown ever. I’m keeping it forever and getting a camaro as my other car.
Buy the Beamer dude good car.....Also thank you for making these videos even during the nuttiness of the world right now. Like you I am still working every day!
The Honda is a Donation (and when I write this sold on approval). Could be a good buy. Clean straight vehicle and title. Appreciate the walk around in these difficult times. Thank You Copart and Randy.
You really should take on that NIssan Frontier! 13k miles, I'd overlook the damage the bed caused to the cab as long as it didn't penetrate/puncture the cab but, Even if it did, weld it up/patch it somehow, THAT TRUCK IS WORTH IT/BRAND NEW! Could get an easy 200k more miles out of that drivetrain!!!!!! Keep in mind that a used bed would cost a lot less then $4k!
I love that BMW 7 series. Slap a bumper cover on and sell that shit. I definitely think someone took the key to keep other flippers away. Those keys are expensive to replace, hopefully they have it safe in the office.
There’s a 91 riviera at a pick and pull in Kansas that’s the same colour and looks like a good front end, there might even be one around where you are at
*the key removal in that Audi A8 is no big secret it's even in the owners manual about the pin hole in the key surround. not really hard to figure it out from there. you could also use a good stiff piece of wire to release it or even a zip tie .OOOH Ridgeline, you're entitled to your opinion just like everyone else, BUT IT IS A TRUCK! those who say it isn't are the same kind of people that try to say My Cadillac EXT an the Chevy Avalanche isn't a truck also.but they are! they are built on a Suburban frame which is also used in the long bed variety of the pickups therefore it's a truck! ridge line is a tad different but still the same idea. long and short of it though, you either love them or hate them. i happen to love the look of them.I'm not SUPER fond of that Army Green looking color, but i do love the truck still. and it's a clear title with normal wear. not surprised*
The Ridgeline is basically a Honda Pilot with a bed ….its like the chopped the back top off the Pilot. I don't like them either but it is a good vehicle and does sell well
Now that’s a deal on a 100k car , I had the 730 E hybrid and great car ,try turning up the radio with you’re fingers and changing the radio with also the fingers ..
Salute Randy 🌟 ! 2018 BMW has been doctored up LOL ! Beautiful ride though, shame it's sitting at COPART nothing against Copart LOL . Stay safe brother 👊😎
You posted this video on my birthday. 3/24. I watched it on my birthday. Awesome video. Love your channel. You inspired me to start my own RU-vid channel and in the future I hope to buy and sell cars on my channel. Thanks for all you do. Keep up the awesome videos. 😊
Great video. I noticed during the Audi ragtop walk-around you missed the gen 10 Honda and the older Acura literally right next to it, but you redeemed yourself with the gen 1 Ridgeline (2006 truck of the year at Motor Trend). Yeah, there's no bed to speak of, but there isn't in an El Camino or say a quad cab Colorado either. In fact after 25 years the Colorado's bed is... 1.2" longer. You'll get a Honda sedan or couple in there eventually, I have faith in you. Keep the videos coming.
The Honda Ridgeline looks like it’s in decent shape and running good. At 194k, it will need a timing belt and water pump. Hopefully the previous owner took care of that already. If it’s reasonably priced then bid on it, if not then move on to the next one.
