Raisng compression is a nice way to boost overall power and can add a coyple mph on the top end if carb is tuned properly and the exhaust flows freely, clean smooth ports are a huge help and piston work to clear intake port is a good idea as well, getting the engine balances better is also a big big improvement for high rpms for top performance and keeping the engine together, bad balance at high rpms killls engines prematurely for sure, it just beats the bearings to death....
remember doing a gasket replacement on an MGB roadster (4 banger) they had copper head gaskets as thick as a nickle and was told once used do not try to use it again...
Great informative video have a zeda 80 with the new G4 factory ported cylinder mz pipe with Silencer and a cnc high compression head bought a copper gasket was hesitant about using it because I noticed it was thinner than the original aluminum gasket emailed cdhpower and asked them if I only used 1 of the 2 gaskets they sent if the piston would hit the head because I purchased the head from them to they assured me that it would be fine if I hadn't sanded on it and I haven't so my question is do you think it should clear with the thinner copper gasket?
I've got a 66cc motor on my bicycle the head gasket died after about 10 gallon. I'm really needing that copper head gasket. where can I find the copper sheet or the head gasket it's self? looking for a place I can go to or order it Alot fast then April 21 that when my new copper gasket coming
Great video man im having some problems with my head Leaking I have a brand new 80CC motor that ran fine at first. Ran through a 1/2 a tank.. Tighten the head And I haven't got up to start since So I took the head off and there was a lot of oil in between Is the head in the gasket I cleaned everything up Put the headback on and noticed that there's light coming through it I'm hoping I didn't warp my head just can't figure out what's going on And I don't want to Is overtite in my head Is android my engine Is any help would be much appreciated
Hi I have a 80cc motorised bike and I have blown the head gasket and I don't know which gasket my head fits weather it's a 40mm or 47mm which one do you rekn I should get ?
I have cg200 water cooled engine. Currently I m using multi plate metal gasket which always blows . If I make a custom copper head gasket would the water damage it? I mean how it reacts with water ?
Chamjisky Khan it's copper really dumb question anyway, think about it steel rusts (houses are now refitted for copper lines which have antibacterial properties as seen in rv's. The only thing copper can't do that steel/aluminium is remain completely sealed.. As it can be resealed by re torquing but not maintain a seal.
Chamjisky Khan your engine is better off sucking in carbon fiber as it won't kill your engine aluminum flakes resulting in scoring/ or worst destroying your cylinder but not near as fast as a chunk of steel getting sucked into your motor.
So I went to your website and tried to purchase a complete set but couldn't get a shipping quote. Wrote emails requesting a quote twice and still no response.
Amazon, make sure the description says bbr, i have one on mine, have removed the head and put it back on about 10 times now with no issues man they are fantastic (head removal was for porting and fine tuning) i ported slowly since i dont have a time gauge to keep from messing the timming up
You fellas at Juice........ arw giving some good advise, the reading of the calipers is a bir sketchy in vods I've seen though...lol! The copper gasket you have is 0.016" not .006 and the aluminum one is roughly 0.030" this is 16 thousands and 30 thousands, all my aluminum gaskets I've bought have been around 0.025" and you are correct copper is better overall than aluminum if the surface is near perfect, soft aluminum is good for imperfect surfaces though because it will conform and seal.
@@shenghan9385 Take the cylinder off completely and you'll see the bottom gasket where the top end mates with the bottom end. Or are you freaking dumb? 😜
My personal experience with these gaskets is that they work great, you will have to true your head and deck tho, The cylinder I'm currently using I had to shave off .009" on the lathe before it was flat and true. the head just got tossed into the nearest trash can and I'm using a Fred head with a 6cc chamber, set the squish clearance to .75mm and get 140psi compression pressure and run on 93 octane fuel, these gaskets seal it in perfectly.
Crowley Alleister copper does corrode, with exposure to oxygen and water. Gold does not corrode except under acidic conditions. Those gaskets, after several years will start turning green on the edges.
