The cool power outlet in the video: amzn.to/2mbHz03
Metabo HPT 4 Port Charger: amzn.to/2kGt97U
A HUGE part of the Metabo HPT line is that all the tools have the ability to run on the 36-volt battery platform that is backward compatible with Hitachi 18-volt tools OR they can be run corded. This is a major step forward in innovation as users are not tied to buying battery packs over and over. Also, when the tools become dated and the battery packs are no longer made, these tools are still able to be used. That is a big deal for anyone who lived through the Dewalt 18-volt and now Dewalt 20-volt max battery platform change.
Here are the specifications for the Metabo HPT 36V MultiVolt Brushless Pod Style Vacuum, Model RP3608DAQ4

We're so glad you've enjoyed testing this one out, Brian! Thank you for your feedback!

I see that they have bag options but I don't see an easy way to buy the accessories. Will this change in the future?

I share the longevity sentiment 100% regarding the adapter. Think the multivolt line will catch on like wildfire. just bought the table saw. And love it. Needed some very fine tuning out the box to true up, very easy to do. I have to say HPT has to see this as a step up opportunity throughout. The QC for finish and assembly is still weak. A few off screws , some obviously rushed cheap finish’s ,and a crack on a wire harness mount are unacceptable and throw doubt into an otherwise great product. Until they clean these issues up they aren’t going to be getting those 5 star reviews. But if they do they’ll only get 5 star reviews and make MUCH more $ just my thoughts. Thanks for another first and great review!

I'm very curious if the hepa filter that fits on the makita will fit on this... Ive noticed that they share very similar design elements and some accesories are inter changeable. I also wonder if there is a way to use a dust separator on it?

I have this dust extractor at work. It needs a longer hose. I did cut out the filter (left the rubber for seal) and use hikoki fleece bags. That way I never have to clean the filter and the sucktion is stronger.

Seems pretty comparabble to the Makita hybrid. Have you guys gotten your hands on that one? If so, how do they compare? The Metabo is the cheaper of the two.

It looks to be a nice little vac, a little on the pricy side, I think hitachi/metabo hpt is underrated in the tool world, at least on the united states. How do you think this compared to rigids 18v dual battery shop vac?

MakitA 40v is so much more expensive. Really want to get this one but no HEPA filter 😢, does Hikoki have a 36v HEPA dust extractor? Wish they sold more Hikoki tools in the US cause we’re missing so much of the tools they have available

I can’t wait to get one! Wish they had the Bluetooth model that they offer in Europe but still pretty sweet! Question though, will it hook up to the Multivolt table saw out the box or do you need to buy an adapter? Great review as always!🍻🍻
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 4 года назад
I will hook up without the adapter as I show it hooking up to the miter saw in the video. If you want to do it that way, no adapter needed.

So fun that they try to kill the battery even 2 attached still using 1 to ruin one by one
@zeekfitzroy4986

Do they make an auto on/off for the 7-1/4 chop saw to vacuum? I have the saw and my concern is that every time you make a cut, you have to manually turn the vacuum on, then off again. These auto on/off units usually have an outlet box that both tools plug into and routed into a power outlet so the vacuum turns on/off as the saw does. These are battery powered tools so I'm just wondering if anybody has any info. about that.

It does use both at the same time doesn't it? If not, what is the point in installing 2 batteries.
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 4 года назад
Like many tools on the market, the second battery kicks in seamlessly when the first is discharged. I have used this vac for weeks and found that each time, one battery is down or dead, while the other is full. You can also tell what battery is being used by the heat of the battery.

DeWalt DCV586M has wrist watch device that you can ( i think it`s Bluetooth ) activate dewalt vacuum even if your cordless tool is not Bluetooth compatible . right now i would pick up the dewalt cordless vacuum because you could use it with tools that are not have Bluetooth equipped

Milwaukee has a dual battery, but you are not going to gain much as far as runtime. Battery Vacs are not "there" yet. Great for small jobs, but nothing for all day A hybrid would be amazing, but it is not made yet.
@histguy101
@histguy101 4 месяца назад
@@codykohlmeyer3702It gets 120 minutes in speed 1(eco mode)@60 CFM, 52 minutes in speed 2(normal) @85 CFM, and 14 minutes in speed 3(turbo) @124 CFM This vacuum has been discontinued in North America for some reason, while it has been recently expanded elsewhere in the world with various sizes, Bluetooth links, etc. 124 CFM is pretty good for a cordless vacuum. Milwaukee's big 36v motorhead produces about 90CFM on high.

Too expensive. I stick with my 20 year old 19 gallon Ridgid plug in. Like $100 or so you can get a new one. And it also blows. I've never seen any battery vacuum that blows.

It does actually blow when you press the "clean filter" button, but it doesn't have an alternative port for the tube
