Broski, i got this video on random, but. Crop the left and right side of your camera. It is taking a huge amount of screen space and it is distracting from the game itself. I don't, in fact, need to see your monitor at all times. Also, move the camera to a corner, not only is it in the middle of the screen and is distracting, but it covers up things like your inventory and things that you were showing.
They can learn a lot from albion online. Corepunk's graphics and fog of war makes it feel like you are playing a moba mmo which is promising. Tons of rooms for improvement especially on the quality of life aspect.
the world itself would not work if you could gather all the wheat and chop all the trees just becaues its on the screen, they'd need to shrink the area because that shit isnt just for a quest its for crafting and you cant just flood them with seas of materials but they probably SHOULD add some Wheat in the fields you can harvest, same for other crops, make it easier to add farming later so you can plant your own.
Same problem as a lot of promising games coming through, it's not they're inherently bad, it's that there's already games that can already do what the newer game offers but way better.
The regen is not there on purpose, like design choice. The game is fun in party play (where you share campfires), but early solo gameplay is tough indeed. Gets better as you level since you have gold to buy ingredients for cooking. Wheat can also be bought from NPC :D As for the world being not interactable I'm afraid it will stay like that. I think the idea here is that you need to venture to the more dangerous zone and every material you find has some kind of value. Not sure how much they ll change their design choices, maybe they will improve the regen. Overall I like the game, but it's specific. Also it seems quite focused on team aspect, which is not ideal for alpha setting. Let's see how it will be with all the systems intact (trading, open world pvp etc).
the game is fun in party play because its much easier and faster to progress. Its not really "difficulty" if all you need to do is form a mob and steamroll content, or having to farm healing items and wood for campfires all the time. Its tedious and designed to pad the game.
Not shittalking since corepunk is the only mmo ive been excited about in like 10 years: if you need a party for a game to be good; then imo it prolly isnt a good mmo all around
The devs should really play Runescape and League, LEARN from their sandbox and combat design and redo some of the fundamentals. Otherwise I will just enjoy you ranting about this game and we move on to the next one.
This game has been in development too long for it to be in this state but its ALPHA so ill let is slide and see what happens when they finally finish the game...
this game has been in development for 7 years apparently and was planning for a full release in about 2021-2022 till the war in ukraine. Kinda sad that it needs that much to be cooked.
Your whole rant about not being able to interact with "wheat in a wheat field" makes it feel like you've barely played MMOs at all. Have you never played WoW? have you never played anything other than Lost Ark and BDO? This is extremely typical of a MMO quest of this type, that you need to find the limited spawn, interactive quest item in an area.
Its ONLY typical for a themepark MMO. All of which you have mentioned. You haven't listened to a thing I said apparently as I said FOR A SANDBOX MMO this is highly dysfunctional. New World allows you to harvest anything in the world. Runescape allows you to harvest anything you see. BDO, Archeage etc. So what you are really saying is that YOU have never actually played a sandbox MMO before.
Oh I definitely suffered my way through your whole video.@@Neeko2lo- it is clearly a theme park MMO, what are you on about? It's the most generic looking theme park as far I can see.
@@user-lf3vk1ye1u Theme Park implies you are on rails. Hand holdy quests. A main quest that tells you exactly where to go (often story based). Very little open world exploration and mostly instanced dungeons. This game is trying to be a sandbox. Which it utterly fails at. Thats my point.
@@Neeko2lo the developers describe it as both theme park and sandbox. New World literally has fields which you go to, and wait for a limited number of wheat nodes to spawn.
@@user-lf3vk1ye1u Well at least there are wheat nodes at all. You can also gather every tree every stone everything that makes sense for a sandbox. This game is not a thempark MMO by any stretch of the imagination
