i don't think this game will be any good, maybe die in the first 4 months just like NEW WORLD. idea is old, graphic is outdated (yes, if you compare this with ESO or Black Desert Online which came out 10 years ago, AoC looks just worse) skill looks pretty generic - assest flips, yeah yeah we have some fire bolt, generic ice AOE, random purple magic shot..... like.... i see it in every MMORPG ever, even free to play mobile games have it. animation looks really like student project, i mean...... it's 2024, and by the year 2027 it officially releases, you guys feel okay with this animation? many korean free to play games already have better animation than this... female character doesn't look that hot, admit it you prefer hot female character over WOKE sheejt
The game looks amazing I was all in until you started talking about things that have to be done every day. Required daily or weekly tasks demands so much of your time it’s almost worse than micro transactions. Games want your money I get that but going after our time is crossing the line.
When u showed the node changing footage that was footage from ages ago and that footage was still unreal engine 4. Why are u showing old footage when there is literally video of the nodes chaging

I'm do glad that we get to wait until like 2035 that means that they actually cares. That and the engine switch with put back the relase date. They way too many pepole that if its not perfect in open alpha they gonna just be mad and complain about all the glitches. Bruhh its why its not finished. If we want to bring back MMO RPG as an genera for people thats not just 30/40 we need to up the game we need to put care in and stop with all thes shit games. If amazon would have waited awith realesingbtheir MMO until now or 2035 perfect the engine instead of giving out a pile of pop maybe we would not have a genere of games that only live on nostalgia.
i bet you over 40 yo (or maybe 10) and let me tell you why and if not you must reconsider. You already have your standar job, house, wife and kids and you dont care so much cause your life aint changing in the next years that much. So you have that attitude "take as much time as you need guys i can wait 10 more years" ofc you can cause u dont have anything else to wait in life so you want a dope game to retire. If you are younger, and in general people in ages 20-30 cant wait that much cause if they need 5-11 years more their life will be totaly different when the game comes out. Different house, job, girlfrind, kids... their life will change for them and they wont be around to play this if it takes so long. So imagine someone who follows the game since 2017 and he was 20. its 2024 now he is 27, if the game needs another 5-10 years he will be 32-37. That means a totaly different life. Good night
@@7S7P7 I'm 24 dude and I hate every mmo out there on the market right now there are just shit. This mmo could actually good tho if they work on it and don´t push shit out like new world. and other mmo.
@@7S7P7 If you really like the ide of this genera you want other generations from Gen z and in 10 years even alpha to play mmo but its just milenials that really like it and i tryed a couple and non really does it for me most is just pay to win nowadays so take time or we will have the same shit out there then gen beta is in their 30s.
Might sound odd but for me the one singular thing that keeps pushing me away is the numerous buffs I need to have to be on the efficient range along with the need for a value pack to be on an acceptable level for making some silver properly, otherwise the game is pretty much virtually perfect and for some the rng gearing system may be also a thing to push you back from the game but the direction is certainly getting somewhere and yeah the game is bloated with a lot of items that we have no idea about when we log back in.
Where am I? WHERE AM I? lmao. Getting through the season was ok because they give you the equipment to progress. Once you're out of Season and go to regular servers you're basically hardblocked by literally, and I am not joking when I say this1000's and thousands of hours of grinding, or option 2... thousands of dollars to buy to win. This game left a very very sour taste in my mouth. The dev greed in this game is literally show cased by the dev's as a proud feat. It's absolutely disgusting. Burn in hell BDO. Burn in fucking hell. It's a shame because the game has such potential that is pulled down by the blatant theivery. This game has focused all the powers of dark gravity that is aimed precisely at the player to bury you under ground. What a piece of shit game.
the way the class trees are set up is not a super complex thing the idea has been implemented in to small games long time ago Titan quest 2006 and more recent in Grim Dawn and Arch age i dont thank its that much of a stretch to say that this is not a big deal, might seem that way to some one that has not played a game with that class system before but you acting like its some new thing that has never been dun, just saying it has and its not that hard of a concept to put in to a game if any things holding this game back its the Node system and the need to make money off pre order monthly mounts
Unfortunetly game isnt designed for good mmo farming items and conquering regions or another guilds . Its just for daily/weekly activities to work hard on get somepoints of gear to raid bosses and wait next week to raid bosses . Sadly its A singleplayer with shop game that have multiplayer raids . Game is basicly dead . Bots or hardtryers stay only ... There should be somekind of scaling events on low lvls but game is bad designed anyway so probably unposible to repeair for newcomers
I played as a F2P player up to Brelshaza when she released. I cleared her and sold my account. I had decent cards (lucky), All the important gems were lvl 10 and I made the gold by buying gear cheap through auction and selling them high. I played minimum of 6 hrs a day and couldn't take it anymore. I did end up trying the bot before quitting which was a life saver so I don't have to waste so much time and focus on the raid. Imaging trying to clear new raid which takes hours and trying to do dailys/weeklies on top of that.
I've had some luck equipping Arek's Bones in the main hand. It gives armor shred for you and your minions and increases that effect. If you can stay on a boss for a couple seconds, its health will melt away.
Great review. I have to add, Lost Ark to me, is one of the most f2p modern MMO imo but same time most time consuming and burning out game. Esther weapons are for whales but optional. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it doesn't have P2W aspects, but ask yourself, what are you paying to win against? Many people deemed having a monetary option to gain advantage over others = P2W. I totally agree. But are we actually competing with other people in the game and it what ways? Lost ark is a heavily PVE RAID focused game, where the main goal is to clear raids, not winning against other people. Its shown and done multiple times that on ILVL, with decent minimum engravings, its clearable for all raids. Its all down to skill issue in the team. GVG is non existent in Lark and PVP is equalised. So what are we paying to win against? Whales paying money to get max gears (an advantage over you) to win over you? No. They're paying to overpower the raids, not you. Is the raid universally limited clearance? (like if other people cleared, you can't do it anymore) Nope. So there is no rush to clear a raid. Technically its just fomo. The raid is always there. It won't disappear unless specific changes is done. And all resources can be farmed in game and yes i agree, its a really time consuming game and having alts is one of the best way to progress fast as f2p at the expense of your time and effort. But does it mean its pay to win? Just because need more effort? And refer to the earlier stance, paying to win against what? Let's say someone with +20 weap vs +25 weap, both can clear raid in their respective parties. Do they compare side by side with each other how fast they clear? There is no need right? As long as cleared its all good. And +20 weap may find it more challenging and thus fun, while +25 is just brute forcing it or not even clear it. So paying to win against what? Costumes etc can be obtained via in-game gold too except special limited ones. And doesn't have exceptionally huge bonus stats that can only be obtained in real money (not sure latest patch now). In all, the one competing with you, is just yourself and your friends too (fomo, ego, flexing etc) which plays no part in the main goal of the game directly. Alot people whine about the honing system too, how INSANELY p2w it is. I assure you its nothing compared to other games. Its literally a guaranteed progression system with artisan energy, meaning no matter how unlucky you are, you will get there eventually. Yes, if you're unlucky and pity every single level, it may take you x2, x5 or x10 slower compared to other people, but that's very rare and you still get there isn't it? Items don't need a insurance scroll, doesn't drop honing level, doesn't break (need repair), doesn't get destroyed, all you need is hard work and time. Try playing Ragnarok online series. Refining system (Honing) can cause your beloved equipments to break, drop level and destroyed. Meaning, you may play 20 years and never get to the max level refine still. (ALL RNG) And insurance scroll are only purchasable via real money. That's what i call P2W. Because no matter amount of hard work and time, as long as you don't spend real money for insurance scroll, you never get to progress high lvl easily. Even purchasing it doesn't guarantee success. So is lost ark's honing system still bad? I don't think so. Of course it feels suck af when you pity especially weapon, (i pitied 20, 22 and 23). But the feeling that you know you'll eventually get there is worth the grind. Afterall, we're just progressing to clear raids and beat ourselves, not to compare with other people. So in the end again, what are you paying to win against?
I used to play BDO ( your points about too much crap are soo true :)), BUT i think it's the best combat engine existing in any current MMO... You keep mentioning that people should play a different mmo if they are PVP focused, can you please suggest which one? I would love to play a game that is better at it than BDO as it is IMO the best game for PVP and no other game comes close ( you dont even have to grind, just do trial mode practice and Arena of solaire and it's awesome fun )... You need to actually learn the mechanics of other classes, their strengths weakneses, what animation is CCable and from where etc... For example, i recently tried T&L(supposedly a decent pvp game) On korea and the combat there seems basic/boring. Equal gears as a bow/dagger all you do is, root/bind, press 1, 2, 3, 3(if 3 crits) and the oponent is probably dead... The only reactive gameplay comes with the Q(block/evade) and even that is just a guessing game most of the time. In bdo, you need to learn to cycle your super armor/invincibility/frontal block, watch for your opponent's animations, try to bait a reaction from the other player to make him vulnerable, faint ccs, etc etc IMO nothing comes close to BDO combat, even if you do desync sometimes which is normal in any mmo/online game outside of lan
All MMO pvp is dead but games like WoW or Guild Wars 2 at least have a functioning combat system that isn't 80% RNG/desync based. BDO is just too inconsistent to be taken seriously
@@Neeko2lo Fair enough, i played a ninja and musa and i did notice the desync occasionally, but overall it was smoothish( i have a good low latency ISP though). The thing is, i tried GW2 and wow and i just cant get into the tab target combat :( I completely agree about your other points ( the end loop of grind to grind faster is soo true) but i still think combat mechanics/engine is top shit in bdo, at least comparatively to other mmos, to each his own though
@@Fuz2yman I agree that BDO has the best combat system on paper, and its not even close. I just whish they would fix all the RNG in resistances and desync
Thats why i stop palying after 1k hours. PVE Endgame u need bots or just cash in the game with real money or u have no chance. If u just like questing and exploring the world its amazing. PVP Arena is also really fun. I just come back now and than only bc of the combat😅
You didnt even talk about bots. Which on NA West as of right now (as this posts date) theres SO MANY all over not even just starting zone ive seen 100's of 1500s-1540ish bots in punika its crazy. If you go to any of the other zone go talk to Sasha or the starting zone its FULL.
Every single game stinks when you reduce them to how efficient the grind or farming is. And I believe these concepts were largely born from streaming. The solution? Just play the game. You don’t really need to grind or farm if you just play the game. I noticed a lot of BDO players claim there is no lore or interesting quests in this game. Well, if you’re just focused on spamming through the dialogue and skip reading anything, you are correct. But, again, if you actually play the game for the journey; you’ll find meaning in the quests and a wealth of interesting lore. In short, stop playing these games like streamers and min-maxer’s; and you’ll start having fun again.
when you rate an mmoprg the fact that it has repetitive activities is a given, even the biggest mmorpgs will have them, games like ff14 or wow also become a chore due to how progression works,in these games you either do dailies , run the same raid every week ,same dungeons or the same set of daily activities. The only mmorpg where i could think about a 100% alive open world is bdo and this works this way cause there are grind zones and from these you will get either the money or items necessary for your progress and you will have to revisit them for hundreds if not thousands of hours. By reading the comments in this video i notice that people forgot or seem to ignore what an mmorpg is, the genre itself revolves in repetition as mentioned above. You are also capable of controlling the pace on which you will progress; it is true that some mmorpgs require less time to see progress but that doesnt mean that the game doesnt respect your time, the players are in total control of their time and how much time they will spend in the game, people seem to focus so much on hitting the endgame that they forget to really enjoy whats in between cause once you get the endgame gear you will have nothing to do untill a new patch releases. Lost ark is a game where you could either spend all your day or simply 1 hour doing your daily acitivities on one single character and still progress. if you decide to have a 12 character roster you are the one not respecting your time.
