Corey Taylor is the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour. This whole concert is full of gems. Check out Bother. Great crowd participation. Also check out Slipknot Spit it Out live from Download 2009. Different style but equally impressive.
It’s not just a breakup song, it’s a memorial to his band mate as well. Corey & both of his bands have helped his Maggots (Slipknot fans) through dark times & I’m sure most of us would never hesitate to help in any way even if it’s just helping him through the song.
this song origionally was about how someone who had helped Corey through a very bad/dark time in his life and he ended up having feelings for her but she did not return those feelings. Corey's Slipknot band-mate Paul Grey talked him into recording it for Slipknot's album All Hope Is Gone shortly after the release of that album Paul Grey sadly passed away. So now every time that Corey sings this song its become a tribute to Paul. R.I.P. Paul we love you and miss you
Corey Taylor is the lead screamer/growler of the band Slipknot. It's amazing and speaks to his talent that he can do both of those things...To hear another side of him, listen to almost any Slipknot song. But for another sample of his clean singing voice, check out "Dead Memories"
Corey Taylor plays smaller venues as a solo artist, but his main band Slipknot sells out arenas/stadiums worldwide regularly. they had a crowd of 88,000 for one of their headlining spots at download festival.
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. It's heartbreaking and Corey Taylor is super talented. You wouldn't have seen him he's normally wearing a mask as the lead the singer of Slipknot.
The song was written about a woman who helped him through tough times and he developed feelings for her but she didn't feel the same. On top of that Paul Grey best friend and band mate helped write it and talked him into recording it. Paul passed away so now it's doubly hard for him
A band mate from Slipknot passed away a few years ago and he is singing this song to him for "leaving him" and "refusing to fight". So the pain in his voice is very real. He is my favourite vocalist of all time.
@@patrickhaldeman4723 it wasn't even a relationship it was a friend he had feelings for that helped him through a hard time and when he confessed to her about his feelings she left
Uh, the song is written by his ex friend? He liked her, she didnt like him. Its about the toxic relationship they both had. Unsure what you are talking about.
Snuff is a song by Slipknot. And the singer, Corey, has an extremely expressive voice. Like many singers of this gender (David Draiman-Sound of silence, Chris Cornell-Nothing compares to you, Chester Bennington-Rolling in the deep)... Yes, metal bands have incredible singers. I suggest a live video of Slipknot, Spit it out download 2009. You will see the crowd control by Corey.
Corey Taylor is from a very well known band called Slipknot! He has been doing this stuff since before the 2000’s :) i’d check out Bother by Stone Sour (his other band) and Gehenna by Slipknot! Slipknot and Stone Sour are both metal bands so this is actually one of their rarer slow songs :) so happy to see how you liked it!!!
Corey is one of the most successful and v respect singers in metal/rock for the last decades. He did some pretty amazing features in rap, too. You might want to check out Song no3, acoustic version by Stone Sour (one of his bands). There's also a great live video with a piano version of Zzyzx Rd. Apocalyptica ft Corey Taylor "I'm not Jesus" is an awesome song about child abuse. One of my personal favorites is Stone Sour "Through Glass" (obviously😂) Alive Tonight ft Corey Taylor " my underworld" is a great duet. If you like hip hop, you should try Kid Bookie ft Corey Taylor Stuck In My Ways or Tech N9ne ft Corey Taylor Wither. And that you should check out Slipknot goes without saying I guess. Greetings from Germany
Corey is a legend (his popular bands are Slipknot and Stone Sour). This acoustic version of Snuff is so moving. He has some really hard stuff (which I love, slipknot songs) with not so hard Stone Sour songs (but not all, there are some good chuggy Stone Sour songs!). The songs from this concert are awesome like Bother (a guy with a guitar😊) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y3gBQCVD-Dc.html Taciturn (a guy with a guitar) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sP7NlTCJkeE.html Other slower songs Home/Zzyzx road ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z6Dcvo6OCT4.html Through Glass ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--ePsKQjRyFA.html Then some harder stuff ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qw2LU1yS7aw.html
Corey Taylor is the only vocalist to come anywhere near close to Mike Patton (lead vocalist of grunge band Faith No More, and MUCH more) in octaves. Corey's only 1 below Mike.
The song is about a friend he had that helped him through a hard time and he developed feelings for her but when he told her she didn't feel the same way and drifted apart You can get an idea of how she reacted from the lyrics A band member helped him write the song and then he passed away
Corey Taylor with Apocalyptica, is another good one. When you're ready to dive into Corey with Slipknot, you might start with Yen, before diving into their super heavy stuff.
Corey Taylor is my favourite vocalist and artist. You should check some stuff from Slipknot. Choose whichever you want cause they're all great. Maybe one of their newest album like The dying song or Yen.
