the corgeut is like the watch at walmart that we buy only for the look under the impustion of the moment. The mineral glass, the absence of pusher and crown protection and the butterfly buckle are not made to ensure a long life for this watch. The pagani is like a professional watch that you buy from a watchmaker. The whole watch is designed for durability and being used for real day after day on the job. If you just want a watch that looks like a speed, buy corgeut. If you want a real watch that you will wear 24 hours a day and that will follow you 7 days a week in all your activities for several years, this is the Pagani to buy.

The pagani is better but it's still flawed and likely to fail at some point. If you want real longevity without spending a fortune, Japanese is the way to go.

I think its the third direct comparison video i see between those watches. Every time, at the start of the video the PD look way better but by the end of the video im convince the Corgeut is actually better even when its not the expressed opinion or conclusion of the reviewer. I certainly prefer a no date window for a start, even if it come with a ghost date. Congrats and good luck with the new job. Also, if yiu hasnt seen your email yet, this frog received his Tactical Frog and he's very happy about the product so far despite obvious flaws.

Wes, l must say, l far prefer the aluminum bezel insert to the ceramic, it's a better representation of the original. Hence, it would get my vote for the best of the two. Cheers.

I prefer the Corgeut overall based on price, comfort and lack of date. The crystal, while /only/ mineral, is excellent and the dodgy polished mid-links can be fixed with a light application of a green kitchen scourer.

I prefer the Pagani for sure. I do prefer the look of the pushers on the Corgeut and you seem to feel they work a bit better. Other than that, I think the Pagani is superior in basically every way. I have a Speedmaster though not exactly the same as the Pagani and they feel very similar on wrist. Obviously the bracelet is much better on the Omega, though I wear it on a leather strap. The pushers feel radically better on the Omega. Basically when interacting with the watches, Omega is easily much better but on wrist... I dunno. If I had a few drinks the night before and had to get up after only four hours of sleep... they are pretty similar.

Excellent comparison Wes, I was waiting for this. Honestly, you convinced me that I don't want either of them. Lol. I imagine the Pagani is a shade better, though if you swap bracelets for a nice James Bond black/grey Nato on both, it could bring the score to even. I think now that the Pulsar Solar Chrono I just got, is better than both of them, but of course it wouldn't be confused with the original Speedy. I do believe that anyone who wants that exact look either of them will do the job though I prefer the Corgeut brand name on the Pagani as I'm a date guy! Either way, both are better than the pos Moonswatch.....personal experience, it's trash.

I have reviews on both if you're interested in seeing the full specs and sizes etc, but the original does have a reduced version and the full size professional is 40mm+ I think

Definitely have to give pagani the edge but to be fair I haven’t had corgeut in hand but even from the stock images online I could tell the build quality was better with the pagani. Pagani def the winner great vid as always!

HI own several Pagani homages and found them okay but on this occasion, the Gorgeut vintage look is the better option aluminum bezel & dial. PAGANI does a snoopy version which looks fab personal preference, keep up your good reviews all the best.

Great comparison. Just what I was looking for. Recently had a craving for moonwatch and tried looking for best homages in a budget. I'd prefer Corgeut for its lower price but I don't think I can stand that horn-lookalike pushers. They stick out too much like shrek's ears or sth lmao. But then again Pagani costs $30 more even with all the discounts. Our currency recently fell off against USD so the price difference is even more pronounced now. Especially with Pagani's middling QC for its price. Decisions! Decisions!!

Hey Wes! I just found out Bliger updated their Speedmaster homage with VK63 (instead of the previous NN3836). The pushers don't jot out like Shrek's ears in Corgeut and their new logo looks great imo. Plus it's cheap af. Waffle strap version is just $49 on my end. Only shame is they got rid of the tintin dial. Check it out yeah?

I prefer the silver writing on the Corgeut bezel. Makes the watch appear (to me) a bit more trusty and vintage.

I have the same Corgeut. The issue myself and a couple of others have had is a milky haze in the crystal. Originally, I thought the paint on the dial must be gassing off and causing it. A few of us on r/ChineseWatches think it's some kind of overspray that got on the underside of the crystal. The thing is, you can only see the haze when viewed at a steep angle. Anyway, I've taken it apart twice to clean that haze off, the last time I cleaned it with naphtha then isopropyl alcohol. I then treated the inside with a ceramic car product. I really want to just swap the whole damn crystal out, I need to find what the dimensions of it are. I like the looks better than the PD, but I wouldn't buy a Corgeut again. It hasn't happened to me, but this model is notorious for the second hand flying off when resetting after a timing event.

Didn't know the hands flew off, that's never happened to me either, shame about the crystal. You might want to contact Corgeut directly or the seller and see if you can find out the size for a replacement. Cheers

While the Pagani's bracelet may have its weakness, the Corgeut's bracelet is an outright eyesore! Plus the Corgeut has puny hands.

The bracelet on the PD should sold as a weapon. It will slice and rip your arm up. The head of the piece is excellent though. I put it on a fabric strap with a clasp, and it’s great.

For a very similar design, I'd choose the Casio EFR-526D-1AVUEF, as at least the quality will be a LOT more consistent and definitely a lot more reliable than both of these.

First thing I did Dan was look at that watch! And while it's not got a tachymeter bezel the look is quite similar, it's a great brand, high quality and price is pretty good. But if someone wants the classic Speedy look it's not quite there. Hands down though, you're right. For a good tachymeter bezel type , the one I just got a Pulsar Solar Chronograph PZ5115X for a similar price is also a good option. Hard to get unfortunately, I got mine from a Seiko Pulsar store in Japan, but there are similar ones available with different dials, some closer to the speedy. I'd probably go for the Casio or the Pulsar over these two. Good comparison by Wes, both of these seem to have a couple of issues.

@@WesWatchRoom Just be aware Wes, the Pulsar I have the big centre seconds hand is the watch seconds hand and the Chrono hand is on one of the subdials!! Some don't like that setup! There are Pulsars with the big hand as the Chrono hand, but not sure which ones!!

My score----> Pagani 60 Courget: 55. The band on the Pag is like the original. The Corg band is bogus AF. I have neither, but ceramic+sapphire versus aluminum and mineral is a massive difference in quality and explains the price gap. . Not to mention that the Corg just looks bad overall.

You're wrong, in any case, a Date Window adds in looks and utility to the watch !.. For me, any watch without a date window is GARBAGE !.. Also the Pagani has ticker and longer hands which is better! The other one in my opinion is worthless with those hideous necked push buttons and no date ...
