Corki is one of those champions that only exists when you think about them.

Kled is just Corki's crazy personality but fun and more fitting

If I were tasked to "fix" corki's lore (and thank god I'm not), I think I'd put him in Bilgewater. The tech level of bilgewater has been pretty nebulous so I don't think it'd be a stretch for there to be a "sky pirate of bilgewater"... and Corki's kit is already full of guns and explosives. Put him on Miss Fortune's crew so he's got characters to interact with, you could make him a Mr Gibbs to Miss Fortune's Jack Sparrow, a venerable sky pirate who has been in every kind of situation who MF can look to for advice while also functioning as the ship's forward scout and air support.

from what i know, corki was made to be a marksman and his passive does also implies that, yet his attack speed is atrocious, the only marksman item that fits him in any way would be guinso with it's armor and magic pen but again, your aa speed is nonexisted, he basically only deals magic damage so people build magic pen on him but has terrible ap scaling, he has very high ad scaling but again, basically only deals magic damage so he can't build like an assasin because then the lethality is wasted riot when making corki asked themselves if they can but not if they should

Until we get the Corki shown in the Tales of Runeterra Double-Double Cross cinematic, Corki’s visuals will always be unappealing to me. It sucks, because I see the potential of his character, but his clunky gameplay and old model and rig just make me not want to pick him up. Edit: to clarify, I think Corki’s kit is fine conceptually - a magic damage marksmen is compelling. He just needs some touch ups to bring him up to modern gameplay standards, and of course a new model + rig, so he plays smoother.

Honestly, i think corkis abilities are in a way perfect for what it should do as a yordle: doesn't look like much but ignore it and you'll see it melt you're entire team. (Got it from Vars) But with the rest im with you. Heck, i wanted to main him in the beginning for how his gameplay looks like space shooter to me but ehen i actually played him, it just didn't seem to be as enjoyable as i though...especially in comparison to tristana and ashe, who to me gives off the same feeling.

Corki's design is actually just a gnome engineer from World of Warcraft that got lost and ended up in the wrong game.

In regards of the Corki voice actor part, in Brazil he is dubbed by Isaac Bardavid who was a beloved voice actor most well known by voicing Wolverine (among other famous characters). While his original voice lines may be done by some random guy, here he kinda got a star treatment in a way. I always think a Corki rework/vgu would be great, but at the same time we will never again have him voiced by one of the best actors we had.

I really hope he’s on Riot’s VGU list now. I know a lot of people aren’t a fan of his gameplay because he’s pretty boring with his package being on such a high cooldown, but I think there’s a lot of potential in his play style which I really enjoy. And his LoR design is AMAZING. He’s really fun in arena now with his package being up every round too

Most of the original LoL roster (much like Heroes of Newerth) are either thematic or mechanical adaptations of the units from the Warcraft 3 DotA mod, so the champions from that era are more of a Warcraft 3 visual ripoff (giant feet and pauldrons, big swords, sexy girls, rusty mechs, etc) than Dota 2 which hadn't been announced yet.

I agree with you about the physical design of Zilean needing an overhaul (his LoR update is fantastic!) but the satisfaction of playing the old guy is definitely there already. Landing double bombs on 3+people and stunlocking them long enough for your team to get kills, or clutch ulting your carry at the last possible second so the enemy team has no choice but to let them revive at full health...Yeah, the feeling of reward for playing him is absolutely there.

I played corki a bunch in wild rift and it shocks me how much worse he is in normal league. I have some weird attachment to him I feel like he is just a funny little guy really

As a pilot, I like Corki's voicelines since they relate to me on a personal level (Charlie Foxtrot is the best joke line in the game IMO) but my god does he need a VGU please Rito, I paid for the event pass.

Hot take, I kind of dislike the package. It's a bootleg Rumble ult that actively knocks enemies back from the part that does damage (on a squishy ADC, too). It just feels like it's a way to force Corki to go in, when his main gameplay pattern is poke/zone control. The worst part, though, is just how much of Corki's power balance is eaten up by the package, which is only available every 10 minutes.

When I first tried League Corki was one of the first champs I tried because I'm a pedantic nutcase who deliberately plays the less popular\high excecution members of any cast. But Corki I binned almost immediately because if I ever hear "MAJOR TOM TO GROUND CONTROL!" again I'm going to throttle someone

would be cool if they updated Corki to be more of a bandle city protector. Expand the lore of the spirit realm too. Maybe he fights off invaders from darker areas of the spirit realms. And he built a part tech part magic (maybe its a wind and wood construct? basically make it look a little more magical) vehicle to give himself more mobility to fly around the spirit realm and more fire power since all yordles maybe aren't mage-inclined, maybe he's actually really bad at magic himself. We kno Trist protects the bandlewood with her own gang of fighters she started, maybe she was inspired by Corki, but has a little more discipline and is more level headed. Corki's on the vgu list...so just hold out for 5 more yrs ig

I feel like they could easily do a corki rework where they get rid of his q, make his current ult (non big) his q and give him an ult similar to heimer where it buffs his other three skills. His ult would make his rocket big rocket, his ult+w would be his package, and his ult+e could be some fancier version of his e.

Corki vs Kled is night and day "vehicle" champion design. Corki's plane takes up so much space and Corki himself doesn't really *do* anything. Meanwhile, Kled works best on Skaarl, but works off of them too. Not the fairest comparison maybe, but even with a visual update I still don't know how they'd get around the plane feeling like the real champion

I think Corky just exist because Dota have Gyrocopter and now Riot is having a hard time figure out what to do with him.

Both Corki and Rumble, inside shitty scrap mashines, being in modern league and untouched because noone ever plays deez champs. Corki has the problem that we don't even have a character we could write stories about, being an old goofy guy is just what he looks like. Rumble tho is supposed to be Bandles Tony Stark, I expect a canon rework for him, that Tristy (his Mech) is now already at MK-3 or 5 being beyond the scrap version it once was. It's clear what ways Rumbles story can get forward, just not with Corki because, we don't even know what role hes been playing as part of the Runeterra Narrative. I find the idea of Yordles on mounts and Vehicles to make themselfs not just a larger figure, but those we have really need some attention and as we all know Riot doesn't see it as a necessarity for thm to invest in characters that only a minority of their customers play with. Whats interesting is that their focus is instead put into champs such as Caitlyn, Ahri, Lee and Teemo with Skarner being the only one whom only a few people on earth have ever touched and stood with, interms of Visual Updates and ASU's. Yep, Mostly Champs that people play already and I know their voiclines and models may be old asf (except Lee's Voiclines wich got updated 1 or 2 years ago), their still played and already one of their popular or favoroured children.

Red Baron despite being a dogshit skin for a legendary is in the game because the red baron was an ace pilot during WW1, which isn't really a war with a definitive 'bad guy' like WW2, so the germans weren't Nazis they were just another imperial power throwing their weight around like the rest. Therefore the red baron was respected on both sides of the war as a skilled pilot. The only problem with the skin is the red baron's was german so there's a lot of similar iconography used by the hyper militaristic Nazis.

One of Corki's big problems is that he doesn't really sell the fantasy of flying at all, which is kind of his whole deal. Granted making a true flying champion in League is a tall order but between ASol's directional flight and Kayn's ability to ignore terrain for a short period I don't think it would be too much of an issue to give Corki some form of proper flight. As for The Package, my idea is that the moment Corki picks it up, the enemy gets a warning tone (like Kled or Sion) and Corki takes full flight for a limited time, flying over all terrain but making it hard to steer. At a second cast, he drops the bombs and deals heavy damage and CC to everyone in range. Basically a teamfight winner that gives the enemy team a few moments to scatter before he hits, and the closer they are to Corki's base the less warning they get.

I think the biggest issue with Corki is that he’s designed around the idea of dogfights and aerial battles, which just... Aren’t a thing in current Runeterra. They were vaguely implied to be possible in the old canon, and you see him fighting some kind of enemy drones in his League splashart, but now the only nation with any sort of actual established Air Force is Demacia and its Silverwings. Sure, Piltover has zeppelins and aircraft technology, but we’ve never seen anything like fighter planes or bombers beyond the ROFLcopter. Where does Corki’s Air Force jargon even come from if such a thing doesn’t exist?
