I have to admit that Coros makes some really good watch bands and they don't over charge for them unlike some other fruit themed brands that will go unnamed. Great video Ryan!
Ryan, great first look, I have a Coros Vertix 2 and Garmin Fenix 6XPro, like them both but keep going back to the Garmin. Their eco-system just seems more robust and Coros has a way to go. Wondering if your going to do a Apple Ultra review/comparison against Garmin or Coros. That amoled screen is killer!! Thanks for your work and insight.
Thanks, Stan, for the feedback. As part of the COROS team, I agree with you that the Garmin eco-system has many rich features from their years of development. COROS is also working hard on new features while trying our best to keep the product simple. We have a lot on our roadmap and will be excited to release them to our users in the upcoming months/years.
Great first look, that watch does look very good. Why not sport 2 watches so you can keep the ultra going as well? It’s what I do. After a while people stop asking why you wear 2 watches 😂
Hey Ryan, great first impressions video. Have you done an Apex vs a compatible Garmin watch? I have a Garmin 245 which is a few years old. It’s just about time to upgrade so I’m looking for input to consider. Along with current functionality I would like to add maps.
Hi Jay, I am curious to learn more about the screen being dim. Did it happen when you were indoors or outdoors? Also, was it when the backlight was off, or it's dim even with the backlight on?
Coros creates a limited QTY special set and then sends out for free to influencers 🤦🏻♂️. Their prices would likely be better if they were handing out free watches all the time
To clarify, most of the watches to influencers were loaners. COROS will take them back when the production is done. And as Daniel said, loaner watches to RU-vidrs are much cheaper than companies throwing a lot of paid advertisements online which eventually adds to the price to consumers.
Just got this watch and I also have the Apple Ultra, I really wanted to love this watch. Right out of the box I had firm wear update issues and the screen is way way to dim, I'd gladly give up a little battery for a screen that isn't dim. If this watch was $200 I'd keep it but for $500 it's not worth it.

@@LewisWu_ I tried the back light as well and it just seemed dim to me but to be fair I'm used to an Apple Watch and they are bright. I was intrigued with the idea of a really long battery life but the trade off isn't worth it.
