Even though is video is from a while ago I just watched it and it’s so inspirational. I’m running Leadville this year coming from the Netherlands so the terrain couldn’t be more different. Love your music choice, do you have a Spotify playlist I can follow? Cheers.
polar Vantage V3. Do you know how to use the live segment to compete against your PR and not the KOM. When opening the ``strava live segment preview`` in polar flow, it only shows the KOM time and the PR time Shows 00:00:00
Great video and congratulations on the run….. in the UK 🇬🇧 it is an absolute rarity having a pacer and having that self reliance has always been the case.. so I see a title with no pacer and it makes me giggle 😁… personally I think it’s purer without one but would never criticise 👍
Where are the rock formations you filmed around 20:50? I'm in TN right now and signed up for this October. Hoping to check out some of the areas today. Thanks for inspiring me!
My set up: xterra 4500 treadmill, garmin 55 for heart rate, and the Runcline app, and run gap to export to Strava and garmin connect. Problem: Runcline records about half the distance as what my treadmill shows. Even though my treadmill is connected by Bluetooth to the Runcline app. Even if I manually edit the distance in RunGap, after I export it, Strava still shows the original and inaccurate distance from Runcline app. Solutions??
Congrats on the race. I loved the Olympus 4s. My pair just died a couple of weeks ago, splitting wide open on one of my runs. They were red like yours which is why they reminded me of mine. Still searching for a new favorite.
I am/was in the same situation. I found QZ (qdomyos-zwift) app that is on android and apple. I will warn you it is beta at best and the documentation is almost impossible to follow. The developer is really helpful with any questions and I would suggest doing some research before you pay for the app to see if you are up for the challenge. At this point I have the treadmill sending data to my phone and then off to zwift. I am told that I can have zwift change my incline and speed automatically based on the workout in zwift but I haven't made it that far yet. It is worth a look for sure.
I’m so happy I came across your journey, thank you for sharing this! A major insight to what lay ahead of me for my first 50 miler. You have made me mentally stronger for sharing 🏃🏻♂️
I’m thinking to use the Pace 3 as a fitness and every day watch. I bought one but ended up returning it. Everything was great, except for indoor display visibility. Did you find this to be a problem? If so, was it something you just got used to? Is there any possibility Coros could do a software update that could have an impact on visibility? Really enjoyed your review. Thanks a lot.
@@markhill8590 Outside was fine, inside, though, esp during the day, not so much. Ended up returning the watch even though I liked everything else about it. I don't need AMOLED, but was just too dim.
@@Advanceagriculture232 I've taken delivery of the Hoka 8's. Only had a brief walk in them. Hopefully going for a run this evening. My concern with them is the foam segments under foot. Surely these will wear down very quickly???
@@NazSBG hope so you will receive it soon. No they are superb inside. You can change the insole after sometime. While beneath the sole there is hard surface on it.
@@Advanceagriculture232 I'm in England. Got them from Hoka official site for £77 plus £3 postage. I've their 14 day try and returns policy (30 days if they weren't in sale). They're reduced from £130.
My 11 year old daughter is trying a pair of Cliftons for one of her dailies after using Brooks Glyrcerins previously. She’s building up for track season coming in April, so these will likely be her easy day runners. I’m a big Hoka fan, so it will be interesting how she likes them.
Dude, I’ll be one of the slow people at the race in the 50K. Would love to share some miles. I don’t have a lot of vert training as I live in Massachusetts. The race will be a blast with the Freetrail community.
Made the switch from SGs to Mafate this year and am on my third pair. I went 500+ miles on each pair and the uppers look brand new! They are more responsive than the goats and definitely have more life in them. The outsole is in decent shape as well. I would buy my goats in wide, but I'm ok with the Mafate (they don't come in wide). I find that after ~20 miles they fit better to my wider foot.
