Between "Cicada, Cicada" and the trading card bit, I'm dying over how much of this has nothing to do with corrections. This was great tho lmao

Please never stop corrections, and never bring the audience back. We'll survive not getting to see you live, because hearing the staff laugh and react is so endearing. Seth's connection to the viewer is so much more pronounced without a studio audience. I can't think of any other show that's had a similar vibe.

The reason Seth doesn't have a studio audience back yet is that he doesn't NEED one

Seth's body language is what makes this segment absolute perfection. What an amazing host.

The plot of Cicada Cicada made me tear up a bit. I need more sleep.

I love how this segment is basically "Seth battles the Internet to see who's more pedantic" and, of course, Internet always wins lol

Possibly Late Night has gotten better without an audience. Seth making the crew laugh is even funnier than anything else. Love it

Seth sounds like a first-year substitute teacher who is unexpectedly long-term covering 11th grade English on Zoom and he has to start each class by responding to parents' complaints and apologizing to the class.

Corrections: the phrase is not, “cleaned things up”, it’s, “cleared things up”; it’s not, “the gig is up”, it’s, “the jig is up”, but come along now, young Sethington, we both know these were obvious plants for us jackals to pounce on.

Late Night with Seth Meyers is my second favourite part of Corrections.

This is literally Seth performing a stand-up routine personalized to the audience of his crew/writers, at their insistence when he doesn't really want to. The vibe is awesome. He's walking such a fine line and he's nailing it!

I love that a made up musical about a cicada has more emotional depth and character development than GOT season 8

I think Seth Meyers should have a TV series called corrections where he and his writers do corrections on everything in the world or whatever they feel like correcting

This is like watching a trapeze artist doing cartwheels high above the ground. Just when you think he's going to fall he swings right back up again. I'm not sure why he's doing this segment but it's always incredibly entertaining. Also, thank you for your service Hamburglar.

The more I watch him,the more I love him. Smart, funny and fair. a guy who inciseively gives commentary on social and poltical issues is a prophet. They DARE to call it out.

*Sure, in German, roosters don't say "cock-a-doodle-doo." But during your impression of Werner Herzog, you were speaking English -- a language Herzog speaks fluently. If he were speaking to an English audience, he would likely have used the English onomatopoeia. This is a "correction" where I feel like you should have stuck to your guns. *The William S Burroughs book was originally released with the title "Junk," which was then changed to "Junkie: Confessions of an Unredeemed Drug Addict" and only later re-released as "Junky." Another one where you should have stuck to your guns. *While the commenter may very well have meant "tint," perhaps he meant that while he finds your humor delightful and your charisma enjoyable, his experience is tainted by your tan, and he feels the same way about Donald Trump. This would make him one of the large number of people who are simultaneously great fans of Donald Trump, and also your nightly critiques of his failures as a leader, businessman and human being. I'm sure that Venn diagram is practically a circle. *The reason you bleep curse words on youtube likely has to do with avoiding demonetization. If your video has profanity there's a chance youtube will turn ads off and the video won't generate any revenue. The process is done automatically by bots that are fairly finnicky and prone to mistakes and false positives, so bleeping curses is the safe choice. Now, I'd like to again suggest a Boston-accented Ben Affleck impression where you say "Every day I wake up and wish you weren't there."

My feeling on "the gig is up" pronunciation is that Seth did this 100% intentionally to catch people out. I refuse to believe anyone genuinely thinks it's pronounced like that. I *bet* we'll see next week!

These are always such a delight to watch

Correction: The Satanic Temple, that created the statue of Baphomet, currently has the statue located in Salem, MA on private property. Whenever a government body tries to place a religious monument on public property, STS endeavors to get the Baphomet statue placed in the same location. This generally results in the relocation of the other religious monument(s). TST will be the first ones to tell you that Satan, Baphomet, the Devil and the rest are fictional constructs. Fictional constructs don't care if you mispronounce their name and it's debatable what the correct pronunciation of Baphomet is. I also doubt it would bleat like a goat if it was a living being. I mean, it's pretty big with an elongated taint, so it would likely be a much deeper roar.

Seth said "beeped" for the noise made when a word must be censored according to FCC guidelines. I think what he meant to say was "bleeped". Just sayin.

I'd like to point out, that in Mexico, roosters also make Ki-Ki-Ri-Ki. Love this segment!

Long time watcher, first time commenter: the phrase is 'the jig is up' referring to the celtic dance, and essential meaning 'your dance of deception has come to an end'...'the gig is up' only applies if you're going to see a band play on the top floor of a venue with several levels and ask the bouncer for directions.

I do love Seth insulting his audience.

These segments are amazing. I don't know how many comics could be so consistently hilarious riffing for 20 minutes straight with no edits and only a vague idea of what he's going to do.

I am overjoyed that this exclusively inclusive digital web-only TV segment just keeps getting longer and longer and longer.

I love this semi stream-of-consciousness format. I keep forgetting that this is a corrections video as he wanders off on all of these tangents. 😆

Honestly, I would watch this over the regular monologues and bits of the late night shows, and I'd watch it for an hour. Love the deadpan, the almost cracking up, the pauses in between. So good!
