I'm about to say two things that will get me millions of weird looks from people. 1. Fates is favorite Fire Emblem game. 2. I S-supported (married) Peri in my first playthrough of that game and have zero regrets doing so. But in all seriousness, you did a great job with this video. I actually didn't mind Corrin's inclusion and I find them to be the most enjoyable Fire Emblem character to play as in Smash.

Well I'm one of the few Corrin Fans and I'm glad he's in Smash. I can totally understand why no one likes him a lot of people don't like Fates or just Corrin himself. That's okay it's just sad to hear all the time that Corrin is the worst fighter. Atleast he has a cool moveset and is very different from the other FE characters that's a good thing. For me it would be weird if Corrin isn't in Smash Awakening, Fates and Three Houses are the best selling FE games and for me it makes sense that all the protagonists are in Smash. I think it's cool that Robin, Corrin and Byleth are all in Smash they represent the most recent FE games.

I do understand that Corrin may not have been the best choice for DLC, nor can I deny that Fates is rough around the edges in story, but I can't help but like Corrin regardless. Warriors of all places, despite it's flaws, redeemed Corrin by giving them more of a distinct and rather adorable personality and story. Smash followed suit and gave them a fun moveset and actually made them rather expressive. While Male Corrin is a little more bland, Female Corrin has a lot of charm to her, particularly in her taunts. Interesting that the devs made both genders have their own differences in personality, but it still didn't stop them for being overshadowed by controversy. Corrin fans still exist tho and I'm one of them. They actually became my main in Smash and helped me feel a bit more comfortable about some personal issues I had with my identity. While it's understandable why they're not liked, they don't deserve the hate they get and luckily it's died down ever since Bayonetta broke Sm4sh. Better to be forgotten than loathed I guess. Besides, Plush Corrin exists and that's always a good thing. Also I asked for Min Min to get in in

never played fire emblem, never will, but his/her (I honestly don't know which it is) move-set in smash is very fun, we agree on that. b-reverses, backair for movement, reliable coverage, dragon lunge shenanigans on platforms, etc. I main her because it feels like she has a bit of everything in her kit. I don't play competitively or anything though

I've never formally laid out my appreciation for your videos, but I think you do these Smash discussions better than most of your competition, aside from standouts like MightyKeef and sometimes MockRock. Your funny edits never feel overwhelming yet they feel distinct from people like RelaxAlax and the Woz. You have a lot of good ideas and I'm happy that you're able to expound on them for an audience. I hope to make content as good as yours someday.

Is it bad that I do pretty good while playing as Corrin? Like just plain, male Corrin. Is it also bad that I have gotten 1st place 5 times in a row, whilst playing as Corrin? I am bad at SSB so I usually get 2nd or lower.

As someone who started the Fire Emblem series with Fates, I don't mind Corrin in Smash. (That is probably just my bias towards the character.) Corrin isn't one of my favorite characters, but I don't hate the character. (Plus, I was unaware Smash 4 even got DLC.) The only Fire Emblem games I have played are Fates and Three Houses. The only credit I'm giving Corrin and Byleth, are being characters that I am familiar with since I have played their respective games.

I have to point out that you really don't need to "ask for" anything, in fact I think a lot of Smash fans have already been incredibly spoiled.

Corrin has redeemed herself through warriors, feh, etc and I wouldn’t say the worst, sure she had a rough start with of course not being well known and for not having a a great game but a great and unique move set which is a huge factor and in my opinion an awesome design. Also if anyone is going to be the one least deserves a spot in the roster is plant. Not a single person asked for him (not over exaggerating) and if someone did ask for him they were either trolling or meant Petey the piranha at least Corrin since she was popular in Japan at least some people probably asked.

Even though they really have no reason to be in Smash.. I still really like them. They’re my favorite FE rep to play as aside from Roy/Chrom. And as long as they’re fun to play as i don’t mind their inclusion, plus Female Corrin’s pretty cute.

As someone that likes Corrin both in game and charecter (only warriors) yeah this is true I just wish they were more like they're warriors counterpart and be a supporting character rather than a leader in a army and but fates was so close to a good story it's infuriating

I mean, it's not even an opinion Mr. Game & Watch and R.O.B. - represents a good part of history for Nintendo (Game & Watch and the NES) Min Min - sole ARMS rep Piranha Plant - literally added as a joke character Dr. Mario - sole rep for the puzzle game genre and represents the fact that Mario is an all-rounder, with him being a doctor being one of the most prominent roles he takes outside of his main games. Also a notable example of a clone used to keep old movesets (Dr. Tornado instead of F.L.U.D.D. and I'm one of the peeps who's not too fond of F.L.U.D.D.). Pichu - Gen 2 rep, with Gen 2 being the the Pokemon game that introduces baby Pokemon, so makes sense that they'd have the baby Pokemon of the series mascot. And if to include the anime, Pichu played a fun role in some of the shorts, notably "Pikachu & Pichu" with the Pichu Bros. Roy - a fan favorite to Smash players (somehow cause Roy's just considered mid tier as a character overall) Byleth - from a critically acclaimed FE game and finally utilizing other weapons (still uses a sword however...) (also a victim of circumstances) Then Corrin - the worst FE main lord of all, coming from an FE game that fans will rather skip due to a lot of problems like story and microtransactions (and started the whole FE hate) I always tend to dig deep about Smash and even can't find anything really cool about Corrin other than "can turn into a dragon" (yet the attacks feel no different than other sword attacks that every FE character does) Can't believe it took this long till I finally see someone make a video regarding it

Something I think is quite important to note is that for some reason, Corrin didn't come with a new stage or any music from Fire Emblem Fates. Regardless of one's thoughts on Corrin, this is an odd decision considering how the other DLC newcomers of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/WiiU did get a few songs and a new stage based on a game that they are from (technically in that game Cloud had more unique music tracks than Corrin, and at least Cloud has copyright problems for a reasonable excuse). The only reason I can think of why this happened, especially when considering how Fire Emblem Fates has some of the most unique locations and music instrument-wise in the Fire Emblem series, is that Corrin's development was rushed. From that, I think that if a different character was made playable instead of Corrin, they also would have not come with a new stage or much new music. I feel as though that contributed to the idea of Corrin being seen as "boring" by some, since the lack of a stage or much music from Fire Emblem Fates makes it seem like Fire Emblem Fates is just another Fire Emblem game that doesn't have much to stand out from the other games, when that is far from the truth. Still, I honestly disagree a fair amount with this video, even when disregarding my own liking towards Corrin. In fact, I think that the abject distain Corrin sometimes receives is not only extreme, but rather petty. It is not my intention to sound rude, but it's literally been 6 years since Corrin's reveal and yet there are people who still aren't over it and act like it is this absolutely horrid thing when it's just a silly character in a silly video game. I couldn't care less who is or isn't playable in Super Smash Bros., but I still understand the idea of one being disappointed that the character that they wanted didn't get in. The problem is that for some people, they let their disappointment fester and grow for years instead of just realizing that it isn't even remotely a big deal. I would argue that Corrin is used a lot as a scapegoat for the distaste towards both the number of playable Fire Emblem characters and Fire Emblem Fates' inconsistent character and story writing, which in of itself is probably due to Fire Emblem Fates being rushed and the original script for the game(s) being heavily modified. Corrin gets the blame since they are the main protagonist and as such have to follow whatever the script says rather than their actions feeling more natural (though a character can make actions that might not be agreed on but still understandable given the character's personality, motivations, etc. which is what separates arguably "good" and "bad" writing). Had any other character been the main protagonist, they would still be making questionable decisions because the story asks for things to happen (they already do that of course, but again Corrin is the main protagonist and thus most of the player's time is on them). As an example, you won't hear many people say that Samus is a bad character because of Metroid: Other M and its English localization; you'll hear that she was "ruined" in Metroid: Other M but she's still a good character. Samus has the benefit of having plenty of Metroid games that star her and help develop her character. While Corrin appears in Fire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Heroes, which are games that allow them to be themselves without being forced to act strangely because the story asks for it, they really have their own stories that Corrin is just sort of there for and thus they "don't count". I also think that using Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations as a crucial part of your video was a bit of a questionable decision. It tends to be regarded as one of the worst games in the Fire Emblem series beyond the first two Fire Emblem games since those aren't nearly as polished due to being on inferior hardware, so using that instead of also going more into things that many consider Fire Emblem Fates to have done "right" (as an example Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest has been considered to be one of the best games in the series due to its gameplay) definitely skew the video even more towards negativity when it isn't all that simple. As for when Corrin was announced, I don't think that there was much of a choice. Most Fire Emblem games at the time took around 6 months to a year to localize; Fire Emblem: 13 Houses is more of an outlier for the series in that the Japan and international release dates are only days apart. While I understand the confusion, had things been different I'm sure that Fire Emblem Fates would have been released only days after it was released in Japan (I am referring to Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest of course). I don't really agree with the complaint of "marketing" or "advertising", because the reason why Super Smash Bros. even stars pre-existing video game characters in the first place is due to marketing (the specific reason was that having these characters would make the first Super Smash Bros. sell better since they are recognizable rather than being unrecognizable is original characters). It sounds more like that complaint is used towards characters that are from 1st party series, even though there were so many instances of DLC characters being promoted with games that had or were already coming out. Even King K. Rool's inclusion is a marketing stunt since he was a popular pick in the Fighter Ballot and thus his inclusion would mean more people buy Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. One of the reasons Piranha Plant was even included was because of how well-known it is even if it is just a common enemy. There was also no reason for anyone to think that there would be another character announced beyond the Fighter Ballot "winner" during the Final Presentation of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/WiiU, though obviously there were people who did because of course there were. Given what I stated before, it makes Corrin feel more like a bonus fighter similar to how Piranha Plant is for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I do think that while their moveset is one of the most unique in the Super Smash Bros. series (a reminder that biases can make something look more "cool" or "boring"; when you are looking at hitboxes there isn't a difference between a sword and an axe), a bit more could have been done along with changing their victory poses to not just be their taunts but a bit different (the English localization of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/WiiU actually made their voicelines arguably worse and more "boring" from an actual dialogue perspective if you can believe that); trying to incorporate a dragon character from Fire Emblem is more tricky than initially thought since beyond Fae and the dragon laguz, most dragons in the Fire Emblem series are quadrupeds and don't have nifty things like Ivysaur's vines or the anthropomorphism of Duck Hunt (Dog) to help things like grabbing ledges not look odd. Maybe there could be a degeneration meter in which Corrin's dragon attacks increase the meter and with a down-special input once full Corrin turns into a more feral and quicker version of themselves that exclusively uses their dragon powers (something like the Fallen versions of them in Fire Emblem Heroes) for the rest of an entire match? It would reference degeneration being a common theme in the Fire Emblem series, along with making a pretty serious choice that has repercussions and can't be reverted and still referencing Corirn going berserk. Overall, is it a shame that pretty much almost everything went wrong regarding Corrin's inclusion in the Super Smash Bros. series? I think so at least. Corrin couldn't have been a better punching bag for all of the hate towards problems that they don't necessarily have, but ones that they were forced to be associated with. I do wonder if Byleth or Lucina would be the main punching bag if Corrin wasn't included, but obviously not Roy since despite Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade having not even been released in Japan when Super Smash Bros. Melee was released in Japan, he has nostalgic value and the Super Smash Bros. series gave Roy a different personality to the one that he actually has in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade (one that is just as if not more "stale" and "boring" as what Corrin's personality is sometimes argued as being).

I think there's a lot unfair assessment regarding Fates and Corrin if I want to be honest. 1. Fates being a bad game? Now this is kinda subjective but as a FE veterans I would say that Conquest is easily the best FE game in term of gameplay. Explaining The complexity about Fates gameplay will take hour. There is a lot of video out there explaining why Fates mechanic is the best. Also if we go by critic. The game actually score better than Both Tellius game and Echoes. 2. Corrin being added only to promote Fates? Yes but also no. I think you are under assumption that Fates sell only good because Smash promotion. Which is not true. First of all the game actually already came out in Japan for about 6 month. And it sell pretty well. In comparison Binding Blade came out 2 month after Melee and it still one of the worst selling FE game. I don't think being added to smash automatically make the sell good. In fact Fates actually become the highest selling game in Amazon Japan by July 2015. So it's already a financial success before it even got promoted. 3. Why not Azura? Have you seen the official Nintendo poll for Fates? Azura didn't even reach top 3. So if you don't know. The top 3 male char in Fates are Takumi (3rd), Xander (2nd) and Leo (1st). Okay so no Corrin. For the female however is Oboro (3rd), Camilla (2nd) Female Corrin (1st). So yeah unless Smash want to put Motaro clone in smash. I think it's obvious why Corrin is the best pick. I think it's fine to not like Corrin or Fates. But I wish maybe you can see it from different perspective on why Corrin addition make perfect sense.

Wouldn't say that Corrin's the worst addition, I'd say that honor goes to Dr. Mario even if I do enjoy playing the character from time to time. Corrin's at least a somewhat unique fighter. Dr. Mario is literally another Mario in every aspect

There are things that I like about Corrin such as, I like the swordplay along side her dragon fang ability, it makes her interesting and unique. That being said they are things that I don't like about her such as her dragon form being horribly underutilized, I wish that her down B, could fully transform into a dragon, they don't even need to make a full moveset only 6-9 moves would make this work. But on a lighter note, I love their Side B, easily my one favourite moves and is my favourite Side B attack.

I never liked Corrin's inclusion to begin with, but after playing Fates? GOD, I really wish they were never added. I really wish we were in the timeline where we got Alm and Celica in Smash over Corrin X( Or if we had to get Corrin anyway, at least Alm instead of Chrom for a Roy Echo. I could go on all day about how much Fates sucks, but that's for another day. Though trust me when I say this, if you do ever play Fates, you are going to absolutely HATE Revelation. Alright, so while I’m obligated to respect your opinion, I’m going to say I disagree with a lot of, if not, the entire video. I’ve mained Corrin ever since she came out in Smash 4 and I can say, without a doubt, she’s not the worst Smash fighter. Far from it. If anything, she’s one of the most balanced of the entire cast of Ultimate. You saying she’s bad because of the game she comes from is also just…wrong. Fates is one of my favorite games of all time and Corrin is also one of my all time favorite protagonists. But that’s another story for another time. Honestly, both get so much unnecessary hate for no reason. So please don’t go making clickbait about how she’s the worst and then backing it up with reasons that don’t make sense. Like I said, I respect your opinion, so please don’t take this as antagonistic.

My thoughts sorry if this is long but I think I should, 1) Dragon Veins are not Corrin only, Corrin Azura Camilla Elise Hinoka Leo Xander Ryoma Sakura Takumi Kana Shiro Kiragi Siegbert Forrest Shigure Any additional child of Azura or Corrin. Any child of Hinoka, Sakura, Camilla, and Elise. Any of the above can use them. 2) Fates bashing is old to me only because I played old fire emblem games and there is a lot of modern tech stuff that people take for granted. If someone tells me Fates is the worst, I will tell them to play NES FE1 and FE2. If someone tells me Fates is the worst, I will tell them to replay these games. FE1 is my current least favorite by a large margin but I am happy I bought it for the art book.I respect what both were at the time but just play the remakes. SoV I wil always simp for. I agree the story is not good for fates, but the character and gameplay to me really holds up. It took some risks with non breakable weapons and higher level weapons having penalties rather than breaking faster and I kind of dig it personally. It means you don't always grab the silver sword over the iron one. Yeah the plot is weak and something I agree is not good but eh, I've seen worse and also as fan of other series, Sonic as well, I've seen worse and can go through it. 3) You use revelations and your baseline which most FE fans treat as the worst of the three games even from gameplay and plot. I think this can color you perspective on all three. Granted I agree being split into three cartages, two technically but eh, is bad compared to three houses which all routes are on the same game. But I think this video can be colored based on that compared to see all three. You mentioned with gameplay fans love the games but that is only with conquest with hardcore players. 4) I still think Byleth got worse backlash than Corrin did and Three Houses is my favorite Fire Emblem game. But I get why. He was done because the game won best tactical rpg game at the game awards and the game was a critical success. Something I think it earned. I get the dislike for more FE even if Pokemon or Mario gets higher representation. But man, Byleth was something I think was thought out and considered the the moveset. Personally I love it easily. 5) I think smash in general is a marketing game in a way. "See this cool character in here, maybe you wanna buy the game on sale eventually?" It always had this but it never bothered me. My main concern is how the characters plays and feels and frankly I don't think Sakurai really messed this up super bad ever. He did research and tried to make characters fit there games. For Fire Emblem characters I think Robin, Corrin and Byleth and more interesting compared to the other characters. Robin is a caster first and foremost, sure he has the levin sword but that makes sense. He is a mage the damage is based on your magic stat. Robin if anything I think is the best character to show what Fire Emblem at it's core is. Breakable weapons and using them when it is appropriate. I love his design. Corrin is the sword dragon and it works for me. Byleth is the multi weapon character which also fits a lot of what fire emblem can do. They all use a sword? Ok I get it with Hector and others who are sword characters but for me I only care if the character is interesting. 6) Last point for worst character in smash, maybe? But it depends what is my baselines or goals? All DLC for smash or all added characters? I think the clones in Melee were lazy as hell event if they are iconic characters but that is what a game rushed in 11 months will do. For DLC, I think re-adding character was worse even if people wanted them back a lot. Not sure, I think I would need to rethink the whole cast to formulate my thoughts on this. 7) sorry if this is long but I had thoughts and I wanted to talk about them. I gave your video a like but I will say it comes off as someone who looking into fire emblem but not super deeply, kind of surface level. I respect the opinion but on reaction as an FE fanboy I feel like corrin is fine in smash. Character is fun to play and play against, and for me this is my baseline for a good character as simple as this is. Keep at it PowPow.

I’ll confess, I secondaried Corrin in Smash 4, but now I don’t like them as a character or their game. I find them cringe. I wish I secondaried Ryu.

I'm late to the party here, but Corrin has always been a strange case for me. They have arguably the most interesting moveset of any swordie of their time besides maybe Robin (Damaging charge of a forward smash, charged projectile that paralyzes and acts as a melee attack as well when fully charged, the dragon lunge, which was admittedly way better in 4 even after they got buffed in Ultimate half a dozen times), and yet the intricacies of their moveset are rarely discussed. They're usually not given a second glance on tier lists, despite players like Cosmos and, more recently, Leo having massive success with them. They're usually seen as a boring character, which... I'm sorry, but a shapeshifting dragon with a chainsaw sword will never stop being absolutely metal to me. I feel like if Corrin was a character from basically any other established franchise, it would be a completely different story, but the timing of their release, combined with the already building tensions the Smash community had with FE as a whole, led to the character getting more backlash than they would otherwise. I'd be willing to bet that, in a vacuum, Corrin's unique playstyle and aesthetics would've been loved by the community. Not to say that the backlash they got was undeserved - I still think using a Smash roster slot as thinly-veiled advertising sets a dangerous precedent, and showing public disdain over that is important, but it's always interested me how such an interesting character on paper wound up in such a negative position, and how that still affects their usage even today in Ultimate where they're just another character on the base roster

I was heartbroken in Smash 4 where King K. Rool didn’t make it in, but Corrin did. I’m glad Ultimate fulfilled some fan requests, but it was painful to see Corrin get in before characters like Ridley, Banjo, and Sora.

As a Fire Emblem fan I dislike Corrin as a character but damn if he isn’t such a fucking cutie

In my opinion, Corrin is the most unwarranted character. I feel like every other character in the game is more warranted for one reason. This character was pretty much the catalyst to people’s dislike for both Fire Emblem and “anime swordsmen in Smash”. So Byleth’s backlash and I even feel Aegis’ and Hero’s to an extent came from Corrin. This character did so much harm to how people view certain characters, and when you add in how negativity people feel about Corrin themselves and their game, it just makes them feel like the worst inclusion in Smash like the title says

I definitely agree Corrin is as plain as a rock in the games, and a very Mary/Gary su in them. The whole story and plot of fates (I've played all three paths at least four times) is dog water. You side with Hoshido thinking they're your siblings but you see the S Support and you know something's up. Side with Nohr and you only really do something to stop your 'father' at the very end. Nohr has more interesting characters than Hoshido in my opinion. Revelations is basically 'trust me bro" when it comes to Corrin doing anything and they become the ruler of a kingdom after the two lords who view you as a sister just... give you land. A sheltered princess of both sides who's never had any ruling lessons is suddenly given a kingdom and all is honky dory. Also the games push you to marry Azura which is messed up. The fact you can marry Gunther (who is a father figure to you and cared for you as a child while isolated from the world in the tower) is messed up and I will never understand why that's a thing. As for Peri, I married her and she was eh. She just needs help. I expected going into this video learning why Corrin is a bad tier fighter but I'm happily surprised. I agree that Azura should've been added as a fighter to have a main spear user and she's practically the Chrom to Corrin's Robin in terms of importance and while having still a bland personality, has at least something. But I do like Corrin's fighting in Smash, I'm working on maining them. I wish they had more Fates music though instead of four versions of Lost in Thoughts because Fates had spectacular music.

There were a few things you got wrong because you didn’t play Fates. 1) All royals can use dragon veins 2) Lilith is not in love with Corrin because they are siblings 3) Corrin does not show any signs of being a Mary Sue 4) Fates doesn’t have any of the same problems as Sonic 06.

Yeah honestly Corrin should've never been here and I say that as a Byleth fan. They were 100% the reason the FE stigma started. Even if Lucina already kinda had a bad rep like Dark Pit for being a clone

I watched a video on the complexities of Fire Emblem in Smash that ultimately ruled that Corrin was when the reception of Fire Emblem in Smash became *very* sour. I then looked at some comments on Fates fans (which I was suprised existed) somewhat upset that Corrin was kind of a punching bag with this video as well as in both the Smash and Fire Emblem community. It made me feel kinda sad for despising Corrin's existance in this game but not enough to really deter me from hating them. I just can't see a reason why they should've been included. Their game wasn't out yet and Awakening had already taken the series off it's death bed so there was no need to boost the amount of eyes on the series. Not to mention that while they're unique, they just feel so boring. Boring shouldn't be the word used for someone who can turn into a dragon and has a *chainsaw sword on fire.* Corrin is and probably always will be my least favourite Smash fighter for the sheer fact that they really have nothing going for them at all. They are the first character I'd take out without question and that is including Min-Min, Doc, Pichu, Tink and Yink, every other FE character and the literal plant. I legitimately value a plant more than Corrin.

These are a few lines from Jesus Christ’s sermon on the mount but they also describe the character Corrin from a little known game called fire emblem fates. Disclaimer before I continue fire emblem fates Corrin can be male or female but for this blog I will be referring to Corrin as male, not only because that is the default gender but it’s adds another connection between Corrin and Christ Jesus, and I say another connection because Corrin is directly inspired by Christ himself. Part I: a Christ like backstory Now to best show Corrin’s Christ like Nature I will start as all good stories do at the beginning before Corrin was born to best see his connection with Christ. Long ago there was a Dragon god name Anankos made a covenant with a man named Cadros in this covenant Anankos promised to give onto Cadros and his people a great realm called Valla and to protect them as long as they remain faithful to him this is a almost direct parallel to God’s covenant with Abraham and his people, and there was great live between Anankos and the Children of Cadros(the Vallites) but just like the Israelites of the Bible the Vallites would overtime turn their back’s on Anankos forsaking their Covenant with him, and this fading trust only increased for The mind of Anankos began to fade and found himself becoming less of a benevolent god and more like a feral beast, but it was no surprise to him for he had foreseen this and so made plans to recuse mankind who from the terrible fate the would soon befall them and he did it even though some would come to hate him, and one of these plan was to divide himself into to form by removing his soul from his deteriorating body so that he could create a new body for himself so he could directly help mankind. And it’s with this new body of his that he would meet the young virgin Homonoia a princess of valla and descendent of Cadros, and she would give birth to Corrin the only begotten son of Anankos, and this is a parallel to the story of Christ as Character of Homonoia is inspired by Mary mother of Jesus as Mary was a descendant of Abraham father of Israel. Now eventually the fate that Anankos foretold had come to pass as his old body still lived and now driven only by blind rage and instinct begins destroying the land of valla. It at this time that Anankos had Homonoia and Corrin escape from Valla so that both would be able to survive similarly to how Jesus Mary and Joseph fled Bethlehem to escape herod’s wrath. After escape valla Homonoia and Corrin come to the land for Hoshido, but mother and son would not be together for long for the king of Hoshido named Sumeragi who was already married desired to have Homonoia (who by this time had changed her name to Mikoto as to hide who she really was) for himself for she was of great beauty in both body and soul, and Sumeragi would force her to become his concubine, and as for Corrin he would find himself thrown into a war between the two great Kingdoms of man the The eastern kingdom of Hoshido and the western kingdom of Nohr. This began when a exiled lord came asking for help in freeing his city from his enemy, and king Sumeragi choose to help foolishly leading his people into a seventeen year long war with the powerful kingdom of Nohr, because as soon as Sumeragi arrived at a city called cheve the Hoshidians were ambushed by the Nohrian army, and in the end The prude king Sumeragi died on his knees. By the time the battle ended the only person on the hoshidian side left standing who had not fled was a young 3 year old boy named Corrin why he was there no one knows, but this amazed the Nohrians for though he was so young he was still standing so The king of Nohr a man named Garon choose to adopt Corrin into the Nohrian royal family. For the next seventeen years little changes for Corrin but as time passes and the war grows longer Corrin vows that he will join the war so that he can end it even if it costs him his life so that the world can know peace. Part II:a Christ like Character A disclaimer before I begin the story of fire emblem fates story spits into three routes at chapter 6 these routes conquest birthright and revelation. Now if there is anything you should remember about Corrin is this he is kind and selfless and values both peace and mercy. The first example of Corrin’s Christ like character is chapter 2 when after defeating some Hoshidian soldiers that were ready to kill him Corrin chooses to show them mercy. Another example of Corrin’s kind and merciful nature comes in chapter 8 of conquest were after defeating the ice tribe Corrin asked the healers in his army to help both his man but also the enemies. Now most heroes are kind and merciful that is nothing new but Corrin also exemplifies the biblical rule love your enemy we can see this in chapter 11 of revelation when Corrin learns that Saizo a Hoshidian who in chapter 7 of revelation was will to sacrifice his own life just to kill Corrin is now in danger Corrin chooses to go and help him. Just thank how many heroes have been willing to put themselves at risk just to save someone who hates them? And that’s only the tip of the iceberg because in revelation everyone is against Corrin and yet he’s still willing to help them despite that. Another similarity between Corrin and Christ is both put the willing to sacrifice their lives for others this is shown in chapter 21 of revelation when faced with the reality that him and his friends are being lead into a trap Corrin decides to spring the trap alone so no one else but him is in danger. Another similarity between Corrin and Christ is one that is often known and that’s Corrin’s fate he has to kill what remains of His Father Anankos’ old body in order to save mankind and bring peace, and to any Christians this is not to dissimilar to Christ’s mission in the Bible to save mankind for our sins when he died on the cross. The last similarity between Corrin and Christ I will tell you is arguably the most important one, and that is that both despite their power and authority chooses to humble themselves and come help us humans. Part III: Christ like abilities Of all of Corrin’s abilities the most unique is that He can turn into a dragon which means he can also fly and breath fire, but like most about him most of his abilities are inspired by Christ. The first is he can walk on water and can even return from the dead you can see this and the end of chapter 27 of conquest and birthright and the start of chapter 28 of conquest and birthright. The last Christ like ability is more closer to a god like ability and that is the ability to create worlds and fill them with life as he creates many small worlds called deep realms in the game so any child born during the war can live safely. Conclusion I hope all I have said give you an idea of what kind of a character Corrin really is, because of all the hero characters in movies and games Corrin is the only one to be really Christ like in all things. Maining corrin for a long time had me delusional. I was thinking that she was actually a cool character in general, but after watching this, I get the idea that shes really just a trash character. I might have actually lost respect for her character now... might even drop her for another character...

I kinda think both the genders are actually equal. The only thing about Male Corrin is that his voice is plain and bland. Cam tried his best I suppose. But because of his performance, people disliked the Male one despite the fact that he and the female one are literally in the same terms.

The story in fates is ass but its has in my opinion the best gameplay in series. Fates ruined awakening for me because of how much beter designed pair up is in Fates.
