Happens all the time where jockeys deliberately miss the break or go too fast up front from the off.The races are more likely to be fixed when the prize money is low because you can make more money getting the horse beaten hence the bigger the prize money the less chance of race being fixed. Trainer's like Willie Mullins and Aiden o Brien are fixing races for years to beat the bookies.

Stopped doing horse racing three years ago. Place pot last leg, 5 horse race, took 2 in a five horse race last leg. I was third and fourth, I lost mega bucks 6/4 joint fav, and 4/1. Fix.

Sometimes it looks as if they are finishing in a rehearsed order . I especially like how they all run in tight packs and the commentators says things like trapped behind horses , when there are 8 or 9 horses racing down a coarse you could fit an oil tanker sideways in .

The horse was outpaced early on he's shifted wide as he knows the horse will finish the race well if he'd of gone up rail and not got a run I'd b more concerned

This horse has won four races in a long career of racing. It never leads and if drawn low in a big field it is like being drawn in a coffin n, so bookmakers put its starting price as 3/1 fav. If you are a fav backer you will always do your boots. Your pocket is talking. I was a bookmaker for just under 10 years with Albert Edwards racing in Gide Park Essex. (no longer trading) We would always put the dodge pot in as fav , something slowly away with a bad hcp rating in a big field. Always best to punt in an 8 runner race , 3 places paid bookmakers nightmare .

What on earth are you talking about? The horse didn't break well, and the jockey had nowhere to go. I'm assuming you had a losing bet and felt angry, but you're analysis was ridiculous, and your language was revealing. There's no question that corruption exists in racing, but almost all of your 'examples' are ludicrous.

It's hard to spot cheating in horse racing. Sometimes a bad ride can look like a horse being pulled. I will say this though, I once went to the all weather at Lingfield and on the train journey home I was in a first class carriage with one of the jockeys and his agent. A man who has ridden over a hundred winners in a season. They both assured me that the game is, "As bent as fuck". If the public new half of what was going on, they would give up betting.

I agree with the comments below, slow start was explained by the horses history, a wall of horses ahead of it in running. "8 horses wide off the final bend" is a bit rich. "2 to 2 and half furlongs out leaving the horse with 10l to make up" would you have been happier if he made his run with 4 furlongs to go and been "8 horses wide" at the beginning of the bend. If you look at his options:- When he went wide with 3 furlongs to go, have a look at the wall of horse nearer the rail. He would have had to get a perfect between horses, and in hindsight it did not come, with 6 horses across the track at the winning post. He had a lap of horse and gave it room on the outside to make it's run. Yes you're right...cheating is part of the racing game but not this time. Your just a bad loser !

While it is definitely easy for a jockey to get a horse beat, if you knew anything about racing you would know that an inside draw is only an advantage if you break sharply. If you miss the kick at the start in sprints on a round track there is often nothing more a jockey can do than come wide to get a run. Or would you prefer he stayed inside and ran into traffic? Then you would be bleating about why he didn´t switch out wide! To the jockey´s credit as soon as he saw any daylight he went for him, but he had too much ground to make up.

Horse started modestly and jock tried to get it prominently. Once horse wouldn’t respond early and room closed off, had to accept and wait. No other place for horse to come making run home. Hard luck yes, fix definitely not.

They always blame you as a sore loser when you know something isn't right. Yes you're right...cheating is part of the racing game. However, the jockey is an employee...he is paid to do his job, be it not winning at a particular race. There are also many other variables - owners, trainers, bookies, gang members, course directors, course staff, 'sport' broadcasters and even veterinarians can also influence the results of a race. Very unlikely the best horse wins except in very big races...however even Pharlap was poisoned. For the punters, they should know the odds against them. In not so affluent countries when this happens, we call this - corruptions. In UK, Australia, US, we call this "Who you Know..." or good management. It's the thrill - to be 'cheated' in a cheating dishonest game. Have been a punter for years (and still punts for the thrill), have horses too, manipulated by the trainers, gang members, made donations to turf etc., etc. I still enjoy the thrill of horse cheating or races. It's a game - the only thing I feel sorry about is the poor horses! Just drop the whips!

The all weather current champion jockey had zero room on the inside had to go wide and yes he finished well over a seriously inadequate trip.

It was a slowly run race .He was at the back probably to get the trip .They quicken and he was tapped for the toe .Nothing wrong here and if you think that's bent I'd give up on horse racing .You don't know enough to judge go or bad and as such I'd give it a miss instead of calling every loser bent .

At the bottom end of racing there is zero prize money ie.Had a share in a very ordinary horse who ran ten times in Ireland and placed twice.In three of those ten races he was gambled on (16/1-9/2,10/1-7/2&8/1-9/4)not one cent was from the five owners or the stable it was the bookies sending out false info to the shops.We brought him to Perth for a shocking little race where he won and after all expenses were deducted the five owners shared£1,100.Syndicates cannot survive without a touch and the trainer has zero responsibility to the general public but only to his paying customers the owners.

Just watched one race. Last time out an horse beat another by 25 lengths, that horse finishing 3rd. This time they met, the horse that came 3rd beat the horse that beat it by 26 lengths. Where the fuck does an horse find 51 lengths and they both ran off same weights in both races. So corrupt it's embarrassing

Horse started badly, travelled badly and the only way to have a small chance is to bring it to the outside. I have never ridden a horse but its not driving a car. There is corruption in horse racing, but I cant see this as a fair example.

Course you have much experience riding on the course proper don't you? You can only ask so much from any horse. If gates 1-3 always came out in front We wouldn't bet on anything else.

I've been betting since I was 14, 1978. Racing has always been fixed, everyone knows. The thing is that they are never investigated , ever. I quit the bookies in 2016. Just decided never to go again, and never did. You would be amazed how many emails offering various odds and multiples. Just walk away, save your money for someone you love X

Horse racing’s bent . But nothings wrong with this, you could call it a bad ride but look at it again. He’s broke out tried to get a good pozzy, couldn’t get there cus there’s a lot that beat him to get a good pozzy. Held it back nice and settled, and when it’s come to the final bend he’s got nowhere to go other than wide round the outside . The horse should of won that race and would of if things went its way but on this occasion things didn’t go it’s way and that’s gambling for you.

Really? Inside draw on a long straight is not necessarily a plus, more so if the horse was reluctant to get away. Curtis finds himself at the back, in a steadily run race, with at least two groups of 3 wide horses in front. Race never run to suit, caught tired and beaten horses in the end - not a fix, not even close (why try to close at the end of it was?)

All this is a hallucination. I won't venture an opinion about this race but imagine there was no corruption whatsoever in horse racing. There should n't be any really, but the effect on the gamblers fortunes would be exactly zero. For the prices would correspondingly adjust themselves. The punters enemy is the taxman and only the taxman plus the excessive bookie profits. Wake up to it !
