I'm kind of hooked on this weapon for the potential. Does it work all the time? No, but when you have a juicy weak spot, it's so satisfying. Pair it up with the double barrel and it does well.
They only corrupted the weapons no one was using because they were just poor choices for the combat the game presents. There are still much better choices for weapons among the tried and true pre patch guns. It was fun to farm them and I enjoyed the red aborations and the guns have fun fireworks but they hit like wet noodles. Don't see myself using any other than just sacrifice runs for the splashy fireworks.
Deceit and merciless were definitely being used before this. They are both very good on apocalypse. Deceit is more situational, but merciless in it’s original form is definitely S tier.
@@tobiasrex8052 You have a point. But there are more changes coming and Arbalest could be one of those changes. I think Mercilees pre patch was a viable weapon other than the torturous slow reload and I tried to use it with some success. But there are such better choices that it became a challenge that was too frustrating. Depending on the difficulty mode, this game doesn't tolerate the slow or underpowered weapons. Still, it can be fun to bring a knife to a gun fight so to speak and try to survive.
DO NOT UPGRADE THIS TO CORRUPTED VERSION , Just get the bandit mutator and upgrade that to +10 install it on the base merciless , it is much better than this crap version
The highest damage weapons always have a drawback, and are harder to build for. Which isn't a bad thing but I'm just gonna bust out the turret and get comparable damage for way less effort every time personally. Which the devs seem okay with so I'm also okay with the more complicated weapons. Vulcan for life, Deciet can go in the trash can XD.
It's a horribly designed weapon, easily the worst of the Corrupted weapons at this point. Even getting 3 weakspot hits in a row gives you pocket lint at best. The regular weapon and mod is so much better it's comical. They need to admit they're wrong and just re-work the mod. It's f*cking horrible unless you have a big headed boss hovering right in front you. Gunfire evidently assigned their most junior designer to this gun. As it is, they might as well have the gun aim at your own temple when you activate the mod. Devs just can't have a gun that is good...it hurts their fragile egos. They'd rather make the game "hard" than actually make money. Edit-if you're not good enough to use it, who the hell do they think is? If they're dependent on professional RU-vidrs to be their customer base, they're gonna go broke.
