I would not add more Infect aside from Skithiryx and the Specter, if you added more you're getting rid of the benefit of Toxic which is to deal poison damage AND regular damage. Those two cards are good because they work together with Toxic in a way, the others are too Infect dependent and the Crusader is just bad in the deck, it's a 2/2 for 3 with very little creature pump to make it worth it. I'd rather have a deathtouch package with Fynn, Saryth and Ohran Frostfang. Fynn basically has poisonous 2 for 2 mana which is way better than Crusader in this deck and works well with the other two deathtouch givers. Ohran is draw so that's a no brainer, and Saryth is protection.
I can see where you're coming from. I think Crusader is relevant here for a couple reasons. If you're playing against any decks with red or white creatures he can be unblockable. Same goes for any any white exile spells or red damage spells. But I can see an argument for not adding him too. I appreciate the feedback though!
Love your videos guys. Especially the upgrade precons and deck techs. Would love to see more precon battles or maybe deck tech battles for the ones you guys made. I only been playing magic for 4 months now. My first deck was from exit of exile and the upgrade help alot. Working on the tyranids and making a kibo deck as well with my tweaks on it. Hope you guys continue making these awesome videos.
Hey! Thank you so much! We love making videos and are always stoked to see people enjoying them as well! Stick around for our $300 upgrades and Gameplay with these decks.
Contaminant Grafter is stupid strong, its removal is a HUGE mistake. Also going down to two board wipes when you've literally only kept the small creatures is a massive mistake. The moment your opponents get a board state you're going to lose and you have no way to remedy that situation yourself since you cut your own big creatures and your board wipes...
One overlooked benefit of Toxic over Infect in Commander by many is that there's going to be games where the deck wins by finishing off the other opponents of their life before being able to do lethal Poison Damage. Having multiple opponents damaging one another will have some players not caring about the Poison, but chumping simply because they can't take the damage. Infect is strictly about the Poison Counters, which gives Toxic decks an edge in terms of versatility. Combining the 2 of course gives people the best of both worlds. Has the 3 or more Poison Counters effects been nicknamed PoisonCraft yet?
That's very true. The flexibility with toxic seems good. That being said I think some creatures could have been buffed in the toxic department. Making them more than just toxic 1 could have buffed this deck for sure. Especially if you're playing up against it's double striking token counter part!
I love that the sword can be equipped to creature after creature unless of course someone deals with the equipment. I totally get Grafter is similar, I just felt it would stick around longer than a creature might. Both can be viable though! Thank you for the feedback though, It really helps in my future builds!
