Just purchased a ‘69 C3 few months ago, just noticed foot area door light not working. Looked at fuse bus, and bam! Green corrosion on every other fuse. Next step was RU-vid search on best way to clean, and poof! There you are! Awesome man! Thanks! And now the elbow grease commences…

That's very smart to use the dielectric grease to prevent future problems! Also, a small fine file will clean those fuse holder tabs too. You can check them very quickly with a 12 VDC test light too, don't touch the fuse itself, touch the holder part. It should light up on BOTH sides of the fuse. If only one side then you have a problem. Could be a bad fuse, could be rust/crud on the holder or fuse.

It takes a lot of time but I get the feeling you enjoy what you do! I've wanted to film a lot of things I have done to mine but never had the energy or motivation to do so. I have filmed a t5 5 speed swap in my corvette but never edited it due to giving up on the editing. Your videos give me inspiration to get back and finish that video and film more things. We Vette people need to help each other out and I really appreciate what you do :) keep it up man, you're awesome!

This video has been very helpful: I have a 1987 ford e250, of which there are no videos or help with repairs, of which I have lost confidence in mechanics. But trying to do my own repairs as a dummy, and having ordered for a manual, it turns over but won’t start. A diagnostic was done, of which the problem could be the gas pump or the relay; or the distributor… but can’t afford a mechanic at this time.

My fuse box was too far gone. And dash harness was a mess. $800 for a new harness.some one jammed a 30amp fuse into the 5amp spot too. 🙄

Hi ! nice videos thank you. i have a 1968 one but the hazard lights does not work, any idea how to troubleshoot ? I checked relays, and hazard button on the colunm ( when i press the hazard button, turn signal stop working ). I do no hear any sound from flasher relay.

Great video Solver. 1979 corvette. My aftermarket stereo cuts off and on when I slide it into the metal bracket it comes with. Problem not in the wiring harness. Do you think it could be a ground problem like most of these vettes have? Thanks.

I’m trying to identify an L-shaped double purple wire that can be seen in your video. At the :44-:48 mark it’s seen in the background sort of where your eye would see the heater fuse and then again at about 5:50 it’s in the background in the top left corner. Any help from anyone? Also where does it go?

Another great video. I am working on a 1968 and there are almost no videos on it! Your center gauges (clock, batter, oil/water temp, etc.) is cracked up to the wiper bezel. Any good fixes for that? They are so expensive to replace.
