She was one of the greatest Italian mezzos of the 20th century (the other one being Giulietta Simionato). Who cares about her hair or her poor acting; her voice was unique and one easily identifiable, once you've heard it you never forget it. He was the best Azucena, the best Amneris, the best Eboli and the best Adalgissa as far as I am concerned.
