I went to South Africa and Kenya last year from USA..I'm a woman and I was alone best time ever...stop listening to everyone tell you it's not safe..as long as you have your wits about you...you will be fine
@@shaunsnyman5107 not all black community is shacks.most of them are deep in the township.like i was in soweto i had 2 taken 2 where there are shacks bcos where i was i couldn't see them
The market has been pretty bad until today it decided to surge. Everybody was practically crying then. It kept dipping. That's what you get when you feel you can navigate the process on your own. Big thanks to Mrs Stella. I'm not bothered with how bad the market is because my assests are insured due to her advice and I still receive my profits
@@Michael-bx1sb Woooo that woman her good work has been everywhere. Been seeing a lot of good comments about her on several places. I feel more confident investing with her, I've been obsessed with her trading strategies
My first investment with Stella gave me upto $53,000 and that has made me invest without the fear of losing, I got four of my friends involved with her already.
I just returned from South Africa, traveled by myself from the United States. It was actually very affordable for me coming from the States, so it definitely depends from where you are traveling. I had a great time there - Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and points in between. From the night I arrived until the day I left pretty much everyone warned me to be careful walking around by myself. They warned me that once they heard my accent i'd be a candidate for robbery. Even the Nigerian Uber driver I had from the airport into Joberg told me that he's often a target. Still, I met locals and they took me out in each town I visited. I'd definitely go back, 16-hour flight, though :) Ghana next year. I really want to explore every region of Africa
Next time you do south africa please let me know I am in jhb with my wife and kids we will accommodate you and I will show you around at no cost I was born here and I have been to every province because I served in the military so I know the country very well and I am currently in the private security industry as a Close Protection Officer
@@ReubenMosia Absolutely I will. I plan to return to the continent every year, next time i'm in the south i'll fly to Johannesburg and then spend some time in Botswana, didn't have time to visit there.
@Becky Britin curious to know because I have never met any Sudanese here. I've met all other Africans and made friends except guys from Djibouti and Sudan. So that when it's my turn to travel it's easy for me as I'd have made a contact.
OH south African My country my pride. Investing in bitcoin has made me more comfortable in this pandemic season. All thanks to my colleague that introduced me to bitcoin.
The love & the humility of this daughter of Africa made me to trace her originality and guess what the outcomes look like: Miss Trudy is actually a Kenyan of South African origin - Lol We love you true daughter of our continent mother Africa. Continue to be honest, calm and maintain your absolute God given composure. Lots of love from South Africa
I'm originally from Bulawayo Zimbabwe and I'm legitimately always confused, even now, by the idea of not being able to enjoy tap water. I'm also Canadian now and the tap water in this country tastes vile. The "purified" water that MLMs and expensive companies will sell you **tastes like the tap water I grew up drinking**!! It's wild to me!
Who is the Asian woman travelling with you? Is she South African? Cost of living in South Africa is expensive, but some people live on less than $10 per day. There’s the rich, the middle class and the poor. My husband lived in Sandton and I worked there, I don’t see the hype. I find Cape Town on another level in terms of beauty.
Sandton is the most expensive place in Africa. You should have came to Johannesburg Central or places like Randburg where you can eat Wimpy or KFC or Spurs, Those restaurants are much cheaper.
Just to add on how safe is SA, it actual depends on were you at🤞🏿, in Sandton you can roam the streets with your phone in your hand all day and not get robbed but joburg cbd you will get robbed. I've lived in joburg cbd for more than 3yrs and only got robbed once, so you have to learn and listen to people living there ,if its dark don't walk but uber your way through. In SA its a matter of being at a wrong place at a wrong time, nothing more nothing less....
Lol as a South African, I doubt when you say anywhere you included Johannesburg aka Jozi because mention Jozi to any South African they will let you know it goes down even during the day forget midnight😅
Yes, Sandton is the most expensive place in SA. I'm a South African myself but when I living there I could only afford to go to Sandton once a month. Yes we use taxify is way cheaper than Uber.
Great work my dear, I love all your presentations. always practical and informative as an African optimist myself I appreciate your effort in educating us all.
Very perfectly done.. great info. Just one observation..cost of living is actually lower in RSA compared to Kenya. Food us cheaper here... Joburg security is not that bad...but for a visitor they will feel naked and stand out..that way you become a target. To be safe just assimilate as quick as possible...do what locals do and you will be very safe. It's a good video Miss Truddy. Well done.. sell South Africa to the world
That's exactly what a local told me - don't stand out. The most common thing I was told was that groups of people would approach me and ask me a question, when they heard my American accent then that's when I might have a problem. An Uber driver told me, "if someone tells you not to go somewhere or do something, listen". But I did not have any problem. In fact, I met tons of people.
We visited Capetown in February for my Birthday. We loved it. We found it to be reasonably priced. Even looked at Apartments and houses. Will return....
Dont use matatus please(Taxi) in SA. No no..hapana. use uber or gautrain or gaubus. Unless you speak Zulu then enter the taxi and dont record..the Taci drivers are vicious. Please dont use Taxi(Matatu) in south Africa especially if you are a tourist
Caribbean brotha ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿. So proud that you find yourself wanting to Live in our beautiful Motherland 🙏🏽💖. Why are you interested in living in our african countries ? I am a Cameroonian 🇨🇲 woman by the way, and my man is Haïtian 🇭🇹. I am really planning on moving to South Africa or Kenya after my studies here in France. I want to invest in my continent and all of these richesses that we have and we don't even see them because we're too busy thinking that living in white peoples country is Paradise while ain't nothing like home. Cameroon is to much unstable for the moment but Mister and I have great ideas to make our countries better.
Its actually affordable in Us dollars. Where i stay i pay R5900.00 rent for a 2 bedroom flat. Sandton and waterfall are the most expensive. However the rest of Joburg is very affordable, the malls are very affordable. Clothes start from 50rand which is vert affordable.. Yaa we drink water from the tap.
@@eugene2928 Depends on an area where you live in every country. You can't stay in cheapest areas in asia then compare that with most expensive area in SA.
@@mabhodlelajj1195 I repeat, cost of living in SA is very high... Housing, petrol, data, petrol, food etc.... The so called middle class is swimming in the pool of debts.
@@eugene2928 I disagree wih you. What you saying is a lie.Housing depends where you stay just like everywhere in the world, petrol is just average price, data can be expensive but I can't compare it with other countries, food is just average priced too.
Great video! Are you all planning to visit Soweto and some of the historical places? (Nelson Mandela house, Apartheid museum?) Love your work!! I miss S. Africa sooo much
you know its very funny when you are busy translating the currency to dollar, i got confused, like 2 dollars, hahahaa.......i like that you really show SA and African countries in a GOOD LIGHT......good job Ruby............and Woda Maya
With all the fighting and xenophobia that was going on in South Africa now it seems to be the best country. Meghan and Harrry went, Richard Branson the list goes on and on. OMG 😱 Media media media
Why are you being cynical and dishonest with your comments, Black African expatriate from other parts of Africa were being attacked and some killed in South Africa. Who the hell said that other non black people faced xenophobic attacks in South Africa, you cynical liar .
I wish people can use their common sense, SA has 50million plus people & millions of other Africans. So check the videos of that so called Xenophobia and estimate the number of people involved if u don't believe the reporters who said LESS THAN 200,000 PEOPLE WHO WERE INVOLVED. TJake from the point that it only happened in one part of Johannesburg and in one part of KZN, out of 9 provinces it was only in 2. So please give us some break guys
Yeah media is full of sh***t . but what you hear is not the same as what you see..come and visit SA and you can even stay for ever..WE LOVE AFRICAN 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Safety is a problem... especially in Joburg... I was told by strangers to take off my hearphones while walking on the road in Rosebank/Parktown... because otherwise I could get robbed. But well... That's Joburh for you. I feel much much safer in Cape Town. PS: DO NOT go to Joburg CBD 🤦🏾♂️
I think your video is excellent. Usually we only see blacks living in shanty towns in the media. You are doing the public a big service sharing that not all blacks only live in shanty towns. Thank you.
Miss Trudy pls try and give us also about job information......for instance am a certified pharmacy dispenser by profession trying to relocate from Ghana to South Africa to work. Take us through that process.......I love south Africa.
blaze Africa don't lie. Soweto and Alexandra are tourist destinations. due to the fact that Mandela lived in both townships. I am from Alexandra and can attest to the fact that it's not safe but they won't just Rob people
Thanks for the information, keep showing us how beautiful the world looks like. Agents always double the price of whatsoever they do for you in the embassy, never mind them. Going yourself as you said is the best.
Hi Trudy, i love your channel. I live in Sandton and i think your reporting is very balanced and genuine. But i must say though that the costs are high yes but justified by the quality of infrastructure and the service one gets in South Africa. By the way Sandton ( Sunninghill) has a big Kenyan community, some of the streets even have Kenyan names. I love your channel. Keep up the good work.
$20 in one of the most expensive part of South Africa gets you 3 cocktails and a couple of non alcoholic juice drinks? In most places in Washington DC you're spending around $13 for a cocktail with tip easily $15+.
Hi Miss Trudy so happy to see your return missed you and your videos and that you look well so would you do a video tour of a South hone home or apartment the cost and a safe area. Thanks and again welcome back🖒🖒🖒❤❤❤
No need to use agents for paper work. They (agents) always take that money freely. You can always call the Embassy for advice where you get stranded or even google if uncertain about what to fill in a particular section of the VISA application form
really informative ! you should be giving us one video on how to get around each country you visit(eating, moving around and stay, airfare n just any stuff you may find necessary) !Excellent work!
Miss Trudy you have just made a good description of how to go about in Johannesburg and you made it short and precise . I am your fan and like your humility and you come from a good home I suppose. I listened to your video you were so passionate about your dad who was not feeling well. Thats the way to go about it, I like a child who loves parents.
We do have plastic bottled water. Our tap water is one of the best in water. I did water studies in Southern Africa (University of the Witwatersrand). Also you can download taxify, its like uber but cheaper. Yas girl Sandton is the place to be. Also go visit the lion park, Pretoria zoo, haartebeespoort dam, Albertina Sisulu Botanical garden, Apartheid museum and Vilakazi street in Soweto. Enjoy SA🇿🇦🇿🇦
The cost of living in Sandton not South Africa. I know a lot of restaurants in Joburg where you would find a whole meal R30. Go to Soweto you will see what I am talking. Go to pick n pay and you will find a lot of food with that R200 you used to buy a dink.
Miss Trudy, you are a great speaker. You speak so clearly and deliberately. You would do well in broadcasting with your maturity and poise. As an English teacher, I have taught public speaking and you definitely have a gift. Just something to think about for your future. XOXO to you and the team.
Miss Trudy your video is very informative, thank you. Bless that fan that link up with you guys to drive your guys around all you need to do is buy gas, that's so cool.
