1) is grammatically correct but we usually wouldn't use this sentence structure 2) gone away implies that the person went far away (usually in a permanent sense as in they moved to a different city or country). Left/gone simply means they're no longer here at this time (the person might live next door and so is not at a great distance). 3) you can say "have you ever been IN Italy" but it doesn't convey that you travelled to get there (for example everyone who was born in Italy though "have you ever" in this case doesn't make much sense). Whereas "have you ever been TO Italy" implies that you had to travel from somewhere else to get there.

In the live there are usually 40-70 people but you can also watch it after if you're not available 1) yes 2) hmmm yes I suppose 3) better to say To, not a terrible mistake to say In

Both of those sentences are grammatically correct, just depends on the context. "I haven't done anything all day" probably implies the day isn't over and you might do something later whereas "I didn't do anything all day" implies the day is over and you didn't do anything!

Ti riferisci a "in a while"? Se sí allora ti confermo che Brian ha ragione: in a while può voler dire "da tanto tempo / da un bel po' " ed è anche usato parecchio. I haven't done this in a while significa "non lo faccio da tanto / da molto tempo".

@@BarbaraT. mmmmm Non sono d'accordo Barbara. Ho ora approfondito la questione sui migliori dizionari Inglesi ed Americani online e la traduzione IN A WHILE=DA TANTO è proprio sbagliata. While means --> a period of time e si rende in italiano con tempo/ un po' di tempo (che non significa poco tempo). Dunque, non è nè poco tempo nè tanto tempo. Quindi la traduzione corretta in Italiano sarebbe: non ti vedo da tempo/da un po' di tempo (e NON TANTO). Ed in effetti leggi qua che dicono questi due dizionari: 1) "Farlex Dictionary of Idioms. In a while=Following a certain period of time, usually one that is relatively SHORT. It's a little bit strange driving on the opposite side of the road in Ireland, but you'll get used to it in a while." 2) "The American Heritage Dictionary of Idioms. In a while also, after a while=After a period of time, usually a moderately SHORT time. For example, Go ahead, I'll be along in a while." Se voglio dire in Inglese che non ti vedo da TANTO devo per forza inserire un rafforzativo tipo LONG OPPURE GOOD while.
