You know in the delete scene of the episode, Lucky's Wedding Suit, which was meant to be a series finale in case the show didn't get picked up for another season. Hank told Bill that the event of this episode never happened, and they were just vivid dreams Bill had after eating at a Hungarian restaurant in McMaynerbury. But since the scene was removed from the episode before it air this episode still canonically canon to the series.
Whats incredibly funny is that while the writers did get a few facts right about Castro and a visit to the US, the years might be wrong. If you google Hank Hill’s birthday, its stated as falling on April 15th. If this story is true though, two things are in play here. Castro actually did visit the US in 1959 and did go to Yankee Stadium, but not to see a game, only to eat there privately (burgers and hot dogs) and the Yankees were actually playing against Baltimore on a away game that day. While funny enough its stated Hank’s birth year is 1953, which actually does line up with a home game for New York on that day (they played against then Philadelphia Athletics). Just funny that the writers did their homework but decided to throw us off with questioning the year
Then obviously it looks like the writers screwed up somewhere. In April, New York City usually still has traces of snow on the ground. Therefore, Hank’s actual Zodiac sign is the one that comes before Scorpio under the circumstances of the dilemma. Obviously it looks like the writers also decided to have Cotton’s assassination attempt take place during the World Series in the first place. Therefore, Hank’s an October birth, not an April birth as mentioned in the dialogue. Talk about the everyday writing screwups that occur in Hollywood?!
@@LindaCooper-i3f thats what is says when they look up his birth certificate online. Which already is sketchy, especially back then. But if thats what it says Im going with it, cause Im a good sheep who follows ever rule and law the good ol USA government tells me to follow
Only because of a screwup by the writers. So you would rather stick to a screwup? Just remember that sticking to such screwups as well as being one of the ALLEGED good sheep that follow every rule is the same as if you were BOWING down to the NSA (National Security Agency) to avoid the kind of a confrontation similar to what moviegoers saw in the 1998 thriller “ENEMY OF THE STATE”.
