I haven’t played much dmc, but I know that Dante not only beats him, but embarrasses him almost effortlessly and proceeds to bust a move on his corpse.
Yeah. Just seeing the opening cutscene of DMC3 gives you a good measure on how insane he is. And DMC3 is the earliest game in the timeline, so logic would state that Dante would probably be at his weakest there, too. Correct me if I'm wrong about that part, though.
Not just that, his bro who was around dmc3 or dmc1 level completely restored his body (weakened ofc) from being just a soul. For who knows how long it took. So dmc5 Dante could probably do that in a minute a day maybe a month.

Like, in DMC5, Judgement Cut End seems to *fracture reality itself like glass*, and Dante can just parry it with Royal Guard and remain completely unscathed.

@@Unacknowledged86 Unfortunately, no. They can't interact with us until they downgrade to 3rd dimensional. And when they do they are, as you said, weak as hell. I'd also like to mention that though the Empusa's won, regular military dudes could react to and damage them. Also, Nero's gun and mechanical arm are mundane, even if brilliantly devised. Same with the sword Nero first uses in 4. Until he gets Red Queen. At least the sword has a bit of an excuse of being amped by his strength, but it should shatter upon touching Dante if any of his feats are to be believed.
@@RuneKatashima yeah. The Japanese were never good at writing higher spacial dimensions. It was likely a bad translation however as it seems more likely that game was referring to the 9 layers of hell. A true 9th dimensional could totally interact with us, just likely wouldn't care.

Well, both quicksilver and his sdt judgement attack don't stop time but slow it down tremendously. Quicksilver slows down time that it is almost as if time was stopped but only almost. He still wins this. And that's just regular DMC Dante. SMT Dante is a completely different beast.
Also not mentioning him cutting every single rain drop next to him in less than a second, that's him reacting to at least Thousands of rain drops in enough time to create a open field a few metres around him. He will have absolutely no trouble cutting every single bullet the Gun Devil fires.
Not to mention he can shoot so fast that his bullets could literally collide with bullets from machine guns shown in the MvC 3 intro when he fought Deadpool. Dante could either just simply dodge the bullets because he's just way too fast, or he'll just use ebony and ivory to counter the Gun Devil's bullets.
The Gun Devil doesn't kill Makima 29 times, that's her 29th confirmed death out of the probable centuries she's been alive, one of those deaths was when the Darkness Devil killed her, another one was when she was shot by the Gun Devil's men on the train.
I like how you pose the question of whether or not Dante could survive a bullet to the head like it's a serious question when his first conversation with Lady involves her shooting him in the head twice and this is when he was at his weakest
its been calculated and proven that dante can move at 206 TIMES THE SPEED OF LIGHT, acording to the quicksilver style in dmc3's descryption: "grants user the power to slow down time, to the point where he becomes lightning fast to living beings affected by said power". the dmc 1 weapon: ALASTOR, grants the user the speed and power of lightning. if dante used both of these abilities together, he would be moving at 206 TIMES THE SPEED OF LIGHT. its preety obvious who wins!
lightning is not the speed of light, not even close, unless it's been calculated that it slows enemies enough to make lightning speed into 206 times FTL
And yes, during the effects of the slow down, it seems like Dante moves at the speed of lightning. Plus the ability to ACTUALLY move the speed of light makes it so it's that velocity
You forgot one thing. Even if Dante couldn't dodge bullets (which he can naturally, and because he has access to time powers), he can easily survive them. Lady shot him in the face. Twice. He gets violently impaled, almost every game he's in (with the anime giving special attention to hit happening multiple times). He suffers so much damage, it's hard to judge just exactly how much punishment you need to deal out to kill him. Oh, and one more thing. Urizen wasn't "as strong" as Mundus. He was STRONGER. BEFORE the tree gave him the fruit. Granted, he was also getting assistance from the big stupid tree, but that came to an end when the fruit was eaten and Urizen was fighting on his own and hitting as just as hard as his combined power was with the tree. And Dante, after he got the Sin DT, absolutely clowned on him. Then Vergil fused, and it became an even fight. There is no way in the multiverse that ANYTHING would ever kill those two, let alone just one of them.
Well he can easily dodge them without using the time stop he have shown feats that he was dodging all the time the attacks from Void Mundus in his fight from the DMC2 novel who is Omnipresent in his fight against Dante Which will give him immeasurable speed, Also Mundus is nothing against Urizen and there are many characters stronger than him tbh like Argosax from DMC 2 savior or even nero after he gets sword Yamato from DMC 4 etc
@@error404b Pretty much, yup. I was just pointing out that, even if Dante did get hit by the gun devil's ammo, it probably wouldn't do much in the grand scheme. Canon Dante (and, by extension, Vergil) is virtually unkillable by the end of DMC5. Nero is close behind them, albeit squishier due to being more human than demon (but still absurdly powerful, leaps and bounds beyond what Dante or Vergil were at his age).
You forgot that Dante is low multiversal level because of Nightmare which can destroy Hell and Hell in DMC IS FUCKING INFINITE not to mention… iirc it was Mundus split hell in two?? It was somebody that split hell in two.. No matter what Dante can fucking descimate the gun devil
You also should mention that after he destroys the Gun Devil, Dante will make it his next Devil Arm just for shits, same with every other devil in the show. Before anyone says its not possible, Dante will take the very SOUL of the devil and form the Devil Arm himself if he needs too, as this will stop them from causing him trouble in the future.

@@El_Donte574 well Dante is known for having absolutely massive dept pools that he always struggles to pay back, and I'm not talking about his shop because as you said Morrison covers that for him. What I mean is his bad gambling skills and not paying back his Pizza and ice cream tabs. He also is in massive dept with both Lady and Trish as they constantly put their shopping expenses on Dante by telling the clerks to contact him for payment. Not to mention Lady always takes most of the money for any mission they do together, with Trish taking some too, leaving Dante with just enough to stay a float. In conclusion Makima will offer to pay off all his current and future Dept's in exchange for him working for her (she will word it as along side her obviously). Dante will probably still kill her though, or blow her back out in SDT, who knows?
Devils are made stronger by their particular fear. Dante uses guns, causing demons to fear his guns. This little detail means that Dante personally helped the Gun Devil get a lot stronger just so it could last more than a full minute against him.
Dante effortlessly bodied Argosax in base. Argosax is the embodiment of despair which would eclipse the fear of guns an incalculable amount of times over. Dante would absolutely stomp and I want an animation of it now so bad.
Dante has a knack of turning other devils into weapons. Usually a toy compared to his main sword, but might have some unique ability based on the demon he knocked out.
"The gun devil can put a bullet in the head of every adult male" Flashbacks to DMC3 where dante takes a bullet directly to the forehead like its nothing. And that was DMC3 when he was considerably weaker since at this point he hadn't even unlocked his devil trigger. Not to mention his ability to royal guard parry, if he hadnt let his guard down lady's bullet probably would have just crumpled when it hit his skin.
my headcanon for how dante swaps weapons out of nowhere is he has all of them stashed in his shop and every time you press R2 or L2 he walks there at light speed grabs the weapon and comes back to the exact spot he was in

DMC 5 Dante also has royal guard(which in 5 can use the DT meter to block all damage and builds up the royal guard gauge), royal revenge(royal guard counter attack), and release/royal release(unleashed energy from the royal guard gauge). Now DMC 3 Dante have quicksilver(a stop time ability). Dante is op even without sin/shin DT.
As a powerscaler, yes, Dante could most certainly kill the Gun Devil. As powerful as it is compared to other Chainsaw Man characters, it really only scales to city level. Compare that to Dante who is easily multiversal and the winner is obvious.

So he'll just wear a Devil and gain it's power, or absorb it. whilst also taking or keeping if its a weapon the passive ability of gaining power through fear.

Well, that's a very unpopular opinion. Devil May Cry's absurdity and over the topness is an important part of it. So saying that Dante is way too absurd doesn't make sense
In lore, Dante is basically a demigod. To the best of my knowledge, the only enemies who have ever actually proven difficult for him are Mundus, his own brother Vergil and Urizen who, Spoilers, IS Vergil. Everyone else was canonically a cakewalk.
Here's a list of enemies who have ever given Dante trouble throughout his journey in chronological order. Gilver Alice Vergil Beowolf Arkham Pluto Nelo Angelo (Debatably) Phantom and Griffon Nightmare Mundus (Debatably) Abigail Some random she-devil in the dmc2 novel Alternate Universe Trish Chen the Cannibel Nero The Savior Urizen As of right now at the end of 5, the only things that can give him trouble are Vergil, Nero, and Urizen.

The very fact that they were able to retreat and fight him multiple times can lead to the conclusion that they were able to give him some trouble. Besides, everyone else that wasn't proceeded with (debatably) canonically gave him trouble. Though I'm more inclined to put Abigail as canonically being a tough fight after some more thought.
@@MILDMONSTER1234 He was on par with mundus in DMC1 with devil sword sparda which was still pretty early in his career, later on he defeated argosax which is equal to mundus while being only in his base form which shows how much in power he has grown, he has also defeated a stronger version of mundus in the demon world that had no physical body and was a literal void. He has more feats to push him even further in the scaling but that would be redundant in the context of vs gun devil.

Dante without devil sword dante has still his normal DT to transform and can easily triple or 5x his stats with no problem. Dante reacted to attacks from the fury enemies with just snapping. Dante has extreme fast regeneration. What does he not have

A few minutes. Good ol' Dante, for as powerful as he is, has proven to fight prioritizing style over efficiency. He would dance in circles around Gun Devil, make a few snarky remarks, fight "seriously" for a bit (while still dropping taunts), get to SSS rank and then finish him in style only to flex the new weapon he gets after killing him.
A couple minutes for the simple fact that Dante will style on him and clown him before finishing him off If it was Vergil who's more serious the fight would end instantly

And you may ask: “but who would fear him?” And I ready to tell you: he a devil hunter with his own agency called “Devil May Cry”, he complete his job so easily, he entertain himself by doing wacky stuff while doing it. Both Dante and Vergil completely fold basically any Devil in Chainsaw Man so far and its not even close. Literally the only one who could possibly stand a chance would be the Death Devil who, as of me writting this, has yet to make an appearance.
You really under powered Dante. I won’t go into lore but his strength is multiversal, speed is N/A due to Dante being able to travel the distance of the infinite Underworld, has a healing factor comparable to Wolverine’s, and that’s base Dante without Devil Trigger or Sin Devil Trigger which just multiply everything said by thousands or hundreds of thousands. Despite under powering Dante it was a good video and keep up the great work.
I wish to add more details for Dante. 3:07 Urizen is implied to be significantly stronger than Mundus because he effortlessly beat Dante at the start of DMC5. Chronological order of the games are DMC 3, 1, 2, 4, 5. Dante got stronger and unlocked more abilities throughout the games. Demons/Devils are also known to be stronger in the Demon World compared to the Human world. In DMC1 Dante is able to fight off and defeat Mundus with help from Sparda's sword and transformation but he still held his own fairly well. The creator has clarified that Mundus created a universe since many people believed it was an illusion, pocket dimension or teleportation. I think he posted it on Twitter while answering fans, (not sure if it's still there) incase people want to fact check. In DMC2 Dante fought off and defeated Argosax who mind manipulated people and was fusing the demon and human world together (the "worlds" are actually separate universes) Argosax like Mundas is considered a Demon Lord and stalemated Mundus to the point of both owning their halves of the Demon World which implies they were equal. Argosax also has light based attacks and is shown creating rainbows and electricity to attack Dante with but Dante can react to and avoid the attacks, Argosax was also manipulating time. Dante grew to the point where he can solo Argosax whereas before he needed some help for Mundus. DMC3 is Dante's weakest and youngest depiction so I'll ignore this game. I'll also ignore DMC4 due to it focusing mainly on Nero as Dante acted more like a supporting character that was toying with everyone. In DMC5 not only did Urizen defeat Dante with 0 effort but he was constantly getting stronger throughout the game. Dante was put in a coma for 1 month and during that time unknowingly got boosted with the help of the Qlithoth tree and Sparda's sword helping the process. He later used Rebellion to fuse himself with Sparda's sword and Rebellion for a bigger power increase and unlocked SDT and easily defeated Urizen. Urizen teleported away and later ate the Qlithoth fruit which is said to turn any demon powerful enough to become a demon lord (Urizen was already significantly stronger than demon lords) but he still Lost to Dante even with the fruit giving Urizen a permanent power increase but that 3rd fight notably left Dante worn out as Vergil easily redirected Dante away and asked him to recover before their next fight. DMC5 part 2: Dante and Vergil are brothers and were almost always shown to be equals. Towards the end of the game when Urizen was defeated for good he fused with V and became Vergil once again. This is note worthy because Dante and Vergil share the same abilities and as Urizen Vergil was able to manipulate time by slowing it in a field, in cutscenes and gameplay he teleports and Dante was shown manipulating space by spawning his weapons out of nowhere, even lesser demons throughout the games can use demonic energy to manipulate reality, people or cause space-time distortions/manipulations. Vergil notably has access to doppelganger which Dante used a variant of it in dmc3 so they can effectively double themselves if we are to believe they can use eachother's moves. This isn't confirmed but Judgment Cut EX in DMC5 has also evolved to the point where Vergil cannot perceive light as the screen greys out. My interpretation is he's too fast now that light is practically still to him. What is confirmed is lighting is too slow to the point where the electricity emanating from Vergil's body is completely still when he uses Judgment Cut EX. Same effect happens to all other electricity based attacks from enemies while Vergil uses Judgment Cut EX. I will not be stating or using anything from the mobile game DMC:POC as it's not confirmed to be canon. Haven't gotten into CSM so I'll assume the info in the video is enough but I will take fan calcs and assumptions with a grain of salt.

Dante’s move set is so wild that he could, 1. Teleport up and behind the dun devil with Trick, 2. Deflect anything thrown at him easily, or 3. Just not go down because nothing the gun devil has could kill him in the first place.
I mean, if you want to use all media for the characters, Dante wins so easily. He can dodge omnipotent and omnipresent attacks. He can simultaneously dodge everything and anything simultaneously. This was seen in the novel against his fight with the reincarnated Mundus rip off. Dante has become a void without the time manipulation, and even in that, he can slow down time with the flick of his wrist.
Letting everyone know, Urizen is much stronger than Mundus, with a flick of his wrist he slapped Dante away from him when Dante had the Devil Sword Sparda and was powered up by it, this was the same man that slapped around both Nightmare and Argosax WITHOUT SPARDA ( Who controls the other half of hell and is constantly at odds with Mundus, with neither being able to win ) and Urizen flicked him away. ( The way to increase your power greatly in DMC is very symbolic, By Dante fulling uniting both his humanity and demonhood, he was able to get a massive increase in power, enough to defeat Urizen and Powered Up Urizen, but when V comes in and returns Vergil’s humanity to His Demonic Side, he is able to be at the same level as Dante, Despite V literally about to die from the lack of demonic energy in his body ) With that said, he’s not only stronger and faster in his SDT form, he’s the most powerful being alongside Vergil in the Devil May Cry universe by a Insanely incredible margin.
It’s important to remember that Dante has survived being shot, stabbed, and slashed. Also, in DMC3 he cuts Vergil in half, and he immediately regenerates, assuming he and Dante have the same amount of healing power, then shouldn’t he be fine?
