Since roshi uses ki, his offence is comparable to his defense, unlike ninjas. Meaning that if roshi gets to them he could snap them with a finger and most attacks would bounce off roshi, so he wouldnt need to dodge most of them. Stamina wouldnt be an issue since he would only need single hit per member, plus he has way better technique and experience so they dont seem to have any chance.
even worse, dude can catch point blank machinegun fire. there is nothing in Naruto capable of that speed in repetition besides teleporting, and there's only 2 people capable of instant teleporting, with one being dead and the other no longer able to due to bad eye surgery.
I think that Samehada could absorb ki. Since it's basically the same thing as chakra. (physical and spiritual energy molded into something.) Just like Genki is basically nature energy, and Shinjutsu is god ki.
There is one technique, Deidara's C4 I think it's called? Basically he makes a Clay explosive that looks like it was a dud, but what it actually did was make microscopic explosives that you would inhale as you breathed, only lightning nature can negate it, which is something DBZ characters are not privy too
You forgot that Kamui explicitly has a weakness in that it's very limited in terms of how long it can be used for, which is why Obito had to rely on Izanagi to survive Konan's attack. And Roshi is a man who's forgotten more about Martial Arts than most people will ever learn. He's seen it all and he's even seen things no one else has seen, with dozens to hundreds of different techniques that we never saw because they simply wouldn't have worked on someone like Goku... but they'd work on the Akatsuki. Also important to note that nothing that works by manipulating Chakra (genjutsu or Kisame's draining abilities) would work on Roshi whatsoever, as he doesn't have any (and no, Chakra isn't Ki, it started off as just Ki by a different name yes, but then they made it explicitly an alien thing). The Akatsuki can only win by going after him all at the same time, and they'd still take heavy losses from doing so for several reasons, not least of which is an inability to work as a cohesive team. If they go two at a time, he'll just dismantle them two at a time. He's far superior in terms of physical stats, the instant disable techniques wouldn't work and they'd need to work on trying to drain his stamina, which wouldn't work very well if they don't go all at once because Roshi is very much an expert and would pace himself and not use more power than he absolutely has to on each pair, and Pain's the only one that would actually make him exert himself. Alternatively... Konan and/or Pain's female body win the fight easily. Just show booba and Roshi will be distracted.

Itachi has lightspeed Jutsus (faster than DB Roshi) and Kamui is passive, it can't be outsped. Plus, if Itachi starts with his Susano'o there is literally nothing Roshi can do to stop him, the Yata Mirror is immune to physical and spiritual attacks and the Totsuka Blade seals anything it pierces. All this on top of the fact Roshi has shown no resistance to Mind Hax or temperatures hotter than the sun and we have a Smurf situation

Also, Roshi is faster than all Naruto characters combined, get Itachi above solar system level.

He is not TOUCHING Solar System level unless you think OG Dragon Ball Roshi is taking Super Perfect Cell. 2. Not once in the Dragon Ball franchise is it ever stated that being stronger than your opponent cancels their haxes. In the DBS Manga Hit says that HIS TIMESKIP is being shortened because Goku is stronger; that means his Timeskip specifically has the weakness that it will not work against stronger opponents. Unless explicitly stated that the characters are able to negate hax abilities in general via strength, then the hax abilities showcased just have a unique weakness that they do not work against stronger opponents. The same goes for Hakai Energy. Hax by nature are abilities that exist outside of strength, speed, and durability, and so Hax being bypassed by those stats mean that the Hax itself is weak, not that the character can resist all Hax. Characters have to showcase or have stated resistance to haxes in order to be resistant to them. And 3. OG DB Roshi is Moon level at max using a technique he can only use once before being completely drained, and Relativistic, which is slower than lightspeed.
My only gripe is I believe Itachi knows Kisame enough to get out of dodge when he starts going crazy mode. Giant water arena etc. I'm sure they have discussed this technique and have a strategy for using it.

Their styles were opposite and they both complimented eachothers weaknesses. Itachi trusted him enough for Kisame to know about his bad health in which Kisame would look out for his wellbeing on a regular basis.
I don't think Roshi's stamina is _as_ bad as not being able to fight all the members of the Akatsuki at once. With the Red Ribbon Army, they have a large base that has to be traversed, battle suits and androids that are stronger than their usual footmen, commanders that could keep up at least somewhat with Goku, etc, etc. Plus Goku didn't wipe out the entirety of the army; he only fractured its central leader positions (hence why Dr. Gero survived and the remnants seen in Super Hero still existed). Roshi was pitting himself against the _entire_ RR army, and even then was only "not sure" if he could have done so, instead of knowing if he couldn't 100%. Against the Akatsuki, he is one shotting pretty much over half of the team, leaving him with Kisame, Itachi, the Pains, and Obito as his main opponents. Against around half a dozen opponents assumedly in a more open area, his stamina should hold up a lot better than it would fighting an entire army within their own base.

I agree pretty much with Lonk. And that just has to do when major power creep kicks in. I mean yes kid goku does get vastly stronger from when he started, but it's not even close to what he is compared to start of DBZ or even during the saiyan saga. Meanwhile Naruto suffers from huge power creep starting from the chunnin exams, just compare how strong zabuza is compareed to akutsuki later and they should technically at this point be roughly the same strength from a lore point of view. Even kakashi at that time is vastly weaker then he is later. Honestly speaking prior to watching the video I expected DB roshi to get giga stomped especially with all the hacks that the naruto universe has and that Roshi never grew in strength in DB. While power creep affected everyone else in both the DB and naruto universe.

Roshi solo's akatsuki easily. One thing thay we often forget in these comparisons is that all these ninjas can easily killed by a knife to the chest. Try knifing Roshi and the knife won't even leave a scratch.

Dragon ball characters, when not caught unawares, have their attack potency and durability scale relative to each other. A planet destroyer will be able to survive an attack with that level of power, provided they aren't exhausted/fatigued.

Naruto is much more higher than moon lvl. With a simple rasengan, naruto destroyed Tenseigan Golden Sphere Barrier chakra in the moon. With toneri mention that this attack tank the collision of the earth with the moon. Simple rasengan = small planett lvl
I feel like roshis battle experience would help him take out kamui, in the case of itachi i think roshi can handle genjutsu because he has been through similar training to goku, and goku overcame genjutsu when going after the ultra divine water, tsukuyomi also wouldnt be too bad since he could brute force it and amatarasu is kinda unpredictable, he could lose to it or take him out before he can use it, pretty OP. Id like another video on just pain though and all their abilities, seems like hed have a tough time taking them out to me. Edit: someone in the comments pointed out that genjutsu only works on people who have chakra which is true.
I don't think he could break Tsukuyomi tbh, it's potencey is layered as Tsukuyomi > Ms Genjutsu > Sharingan Genjutsu > Genjutsu that negged like 600 People. That along with Tsukuyomi being a literal mental universe where Itachi controls all things makes me think it's a bit out of Roshi's paygrade.

Master roshi could probably wipe all them out in a single attack due to a data book confirming he has the power to power a large star, however we don’t know what he would do against Genjutsu and Tobi’s invincibility. They could keep up with Roshi’s speed and Roshi isn’t particularly agile so they could likely take care of him before he reaches max power, which he would most likely go for due to the ridiculous power increase and how outnumbered he is.
Genjutsu is only known to affect people with Chakra and since Roshi doesn’t have any, it won’t even scratch him. A few of the akatsuki COULD give him a challenge, but Kisame would be powerless since he can’t absorb Ki the same way he does Chakra. Itachi wouldn’t do much to him at all either. Sure Roshi isn’t necessarily strong against Aerial attacks and he’s not the fastest but I doubt that would do too much to him. The only way he could lose in this context is his perversion, so ideally Konan or Pain’s female form could take him down.
So instead of going with the ultimate blitz that is "Super Roshi" - we're going with the DB Roshi that has been seen breaking moons and rarely fighting at full power. The best example of full power DB Roshi is actually his fight in the DBZ Movie: Worlds Strongest, when he takes on multiple threats at once and is able to rather easily defeat everything - with the exception of the weird abilities they had and the fact they "out powered him". Roshi should be able to solo the entire Naruto universe at his full power from DB / DBZ and Super.

This seems pretty accurate, Roshi is really strong but he doesn't have the stamina or hax to deal with the Akatsuki. Honestly, Itachi, Obito, and Pain could maybe even just beat him 1v1 if they instant-hax him to death. And they can be scaled even higher than this, as some calcs but Pain's Chibaku Tensei at Continent Level and there are multiple statements for 1/2 Kurama being Planet Level, which you can argue would upscale Obito and maybe Itachi and Pain (those two are a bit more questionable). They could also have a speed edge depending on how you calc certain stuff. All of that along with the massive numbers advantage they have and all the tricks up their sleeve makes me think they would beat him in most scenarios. Great video, I'm really digging these DBZ and Naruto battles. As a fan of both series, keep up the great work!
It’s very unlikely for Pain, Obito or Itachi to land those win conditions, either way. The speed and power difference is so big that they’d just get crushed, like how V2 Naruto utterly manhandled Pain.
@@r.a.s6410 There are multiple Planetary statements for Kurama, and seeing as the mention the world and earth it would be up to you to prove that they are meaning society. Kurama and Bee also have a Multi-Continental feat so it isn’t inconsistent for them to be that strong. Obito also made the Kamui dimension (databook says he made it) which is most likely a planet considering he uses it to teleport around the earth. Chibaku Tensei can be at Continental which is consistent with the Bijuu’s power. Itachi, Pain, and Obito are all significantly above FTL as well so Roshi’s speed isn’t enough.
The best part about this entire match up is realizing we're intentionally using the weakest form of Roshi and not his more powerful versions in Super. Not even talking about Tournament of Power, Ressurection F Roshi was surprisingly really strong considering how strong the average Frieza soldier is and took on 170 mostly by himself and one shot most of em.

Roshi wasn't sent because of his power. He was sent because of his Tournament, and martial arts knowledge. being a the man who has probably won more Tournament setting battles than anyone. He has some great feats of strength for sure. but he was calling shots more than anything. this is also why I dont think the Akatsuki could beat him. His strength, martial skill, and ability to understand and figure out his enemies abilities very quicky make him unbeatable by anyone in naruto. The ONLY thing that could kill him would be a soul manipulation jutsu. BUT DBZ characters are able to surround themselves with their ki making a second layer of skin almost. you have to have more output than the barrier to damage the person. So those would be void as well as not even a tailed beat bomb could overpower a DBZ character ki barrier.

The only Akatsuki member I see standing a chance is Obito because he’s intangible and could probably suck roshi into the kamui dimension if he catches him off guard when he’s fighting the rest of the Akatsuki.

Roshi is a smart fighter. that's why he was recruited for the ToP. I believe roshi can beat obito by figuring out how his kamui works. He also imo can stand a chance against itachi because he most likely can figure out if he is under genjutsu because in the ToP he fought the talisman fighter from universe 4 and realised she was using Illusions.
How would Roshi break the genjutsu though? He can't be placed under genjutsu because he doesn't have chakra, but if he could, would he figure out how to break a genjutsu?

Not a single akatsuki member scales to relativistic speeds. The two fastest ones are pain and itachi which are both sub relativistic, even if you low ball roshi as much as possible he still completely blitzes every single one of them. The only way you'd beat him is by obito kamui (even minato who's slower than roshi dodged it in time) or itachi amaterasu hitting (which we know sub relativistic speeds characters can dodge, ie. A the 4th raikage) but I don't think even if it did, it matters considering how ki works in DB. Konan, hidan, kakuzu, deidara and kakuzu would be 1 shot, it's not even close. Every "hax" in DB can be negged by having stronger ki than your opponent (or at least, the attack in question). Vegeta negged babidi's mind control, Freeza negged hakai energy, it's no stretch saying roshi who's a LOT stronger than itachi or pain could neg the amaterasu, tsukiyomi or pain's soul stealing. He could trick most (if not all, but let's be charitable towards dojutsu users) of the akatsuki simply using zanzoken. If kisame tries to drown him (which would be a great idea) he gets hit with thundershock surprise and fried. Dragon ball characters in general should just not be compared to naruto ones, it's just not fair imo.
DB/DBZ has a crazy Power scale however Naruto has crazy hacks, so if the hacks work they can beat crazy powerful characters. Any of us could write a story where a Naruto character beats a DBZ character it just needs set-up.
So Master roshi can win but the only way for the Akatsuki to beat Master roshi they have to only face the Dragon Ball version and not the Super version showing that they can't even beat him even if the crew went full power on him

Tobi has been stated to be vulnerable to exactly one thing" speed blitz. Minato beat him because he managed to land a blow immediately after Tobi solidified in order to grab him. Roshi is massively faster than Minato and has infinitely better reaction time
@@UbermanPrime did Minato know about kamui? Kakashi was the first one to figure out how it worked (that he's teleporting part of himself to another dimension). That isn't a requirement to beat him as evidence by Minato. And roshi has been demonstrated to be a fighting genius

@@aisaback6221 Doesn't need to be a kunai, just something that has the seal. And KCM1 Naruto was directly compared to Minato's teleportation, meaning so does Itachi and Nagato since they scaled to KCM1 Naruto's speed during their fight.

Haven't watched the vid yet as I want to think about the premise myself first. Sometimes I forget how wacky it is to compare characters from different contexts. For one, we always have to make assumptions at there is no proof about how different power systems interact (Can someone that can drain chakra drain ki, does genius work on people from outside of natuto?). Second is context. My first thought was one that was correct but not applicable to this situation. It was that despite both groups being top tier humans in their own verse, Roshi is on the lower end of power in his verse while the Atksuki are on the upper end. Then I remembered that that isn't how this works. Master Roshi is one of the characters who blew up the Moon with one attack. Back in Dragon Ball. There are very few people in Naruto who could replicate that feat, especially if you only look at those originally from earth, which excludes the Otsusuki and the 10 tails. Outside of those exclusions, I'm not sure if anyone in the verse has the kind of striking power to destroy a moon. I know there are other things to consider, like speed is always really important, but I don't really know enough about how different verses handle speed or anything else to start something like that.
The man that can blow up the moon vs a group of terrorists that are Biju level at best but have nice hax Roshi probably out stats them badly to the point where the hax is irrelevant
Maybe not solo, but that would definitely be a great distraction for him. Since It's definitely one of his biggest weaknesses. But they will have to know about that in order to carry it out and also Konan will have to agree to it as well.
One thing roshi has that could help against Obito would be his hypnosis. That would help as it’s not physical, unless obito has a defense against that, that I’m not aware of or remember lol
Roshi would probably be against it, but they should just wish for him to be in his peak physical condition. He's already immortal, might as well make sure you're at your best version to protect the earth.
In the naruto universe intel is an asset; the akatsuki after exstensive research would discover that they would need just konan in bikini to capture roshi
hmmm--- I think you are underestimating Roshi, even at this level, yes Roshi said and admitted he lacked the Stamina, but even after he had spent all his Ki, he still managed to fight against Kid Goku for a prolonged period of time.The commentator did comment at least in the anime (can't remember if he said that in the manga) that they had been fighting for 4 hours, most fights in Naruto are much shorter than this, don't forget that despite lasting 93 chapters the whole Shinobi War arc was technically just 2 days in universe, and if we take the fights as in real time than, as far as I can tell, Sasori vs Sakura and the old gal, was the longest spanning around 3 on screen hours.
I don’t understand you suggest he either does 1 moon level attack or is base mountian level… those are exponentially apart and it follows he could sustain large island/multi mountian level for a whole fight and thus be able to one shot each akatsuku? Obviously that’s hacks aside but I don’t like the power scaling here

before even watching this. Well Master Roshi blew up a moon way back in Dragonball the first tournament we see in the show. The power scaling in Dragonball is just TOO different. Hell Yamcha could probably beat most if not all of the Akatsuki.
Half the Nine Tails can turn a planet to ash and people like Pain & Obito scale either relative to Half the Nine Tails or above so being moon level just isn't enough to beat the Akatsuki.

I think it’s funny people think people from naruto could take on dragon ball characters from later in the timeline. Like genuinely I’ve seen people claim about like Madara could fight Goku or Vegeta. Like Dragon ball reached the peak of what Naruto got to before Goku stopped looking like a 5 year old lol by the time Vegeta shows up they’re casually blowing up plants with little to know effort while Madara taking off the top of some mountains is considered some impossible to compete against feat. I like both series but some fans really just don’t really keep in mind how absurd the characters in dragon ball actually are.

The only real problems are Obito, but the Mafuba will probably bypass Kamui, Itachi with the Yata Mirror if it can stop the Kamehameha, and Pain with his many bodies. If Roshi fights against the full team he probably loses tho
I wouldnt call anyone in naruto a ninja. They are more like hidden leaf magicians. Like Japanese Harry Potter. Also, you just glanced over so many abilities of the weaker akatsuki members. Anybody gets a drop of blood from roshi, hidan one shots this guy since Roshi doesn't know the first thing about their abilities. Neither do they, but a Kamehameha could also be absorbed by Pains Preta Path if chakra and Ki work the same. Itachi could use genjutsu like Tsukuyomi as well. Deidara could just use C4 and destroy roshi on a molecular level. Not much he could do about that either. Obito just teleports roshi to the kamui dimension, what he gonna do about that? Like, there's so many ways the akatsuki can just get rid of this old geezer. Kisame could just use the Water prison jutsu as well so Roshi wouldn't even be able to move before drowning. Kakuzu may have a hard time as well as Sasori and Hidan if he's on his own. But over all, after Team 1 consisting of Kakuzu and Hidan which he already could potentially struggle with, Roshi would be f'd. He'd have very little energy left and against Sasori (who solo'd a country) and Deidara (who can just destroy him on a molecular level) which essentially would be a death sentence already. We don't even need to talk about the rest of the akatsuki. Normally I'm on the DB side since these characters are overpowered in any way, shape or form already. But when talking about the roshi you are talking about, this isn't even a fair fight. This is just a huge stomp in the Aktsuki's favor.
