Can one take a picture of the image your viewing through the microscope and use image software to count the cells in it? Or would the lines etched on the hemocytometer show up on the image
Are you asking if you can image a standard hemocytometer with cells, in a compound microscope, then use image analysis software to determine the concentration? That is what the Countess does. Personally, I don't mind the counting of the P-squares in a hemocytometer. I don't do it very often. If you were doing in all day everyday, the Countess might be the way to go, instead of trying to hack together one.
